Truffle pasta (yeah, that's black truffle on top!)
    Debra M.

A colleague on a work trip told me all about the truffle pasta. She told me that they shave the truffle on top. I've never seen anything like that in my life. Friends in the states asked me if it were cheese or garlic due to how much they were putting on top. We must be close to truffle country. The wait staff is super friendly - the waiter lies and told me he ate my food. They were attentive and kind. I feel pretty lucky that this place came so highly recommended and it delivered on all of these measures. The portions are pretty tiny - my boss and I ordered three dishes to share and we finished them all. For dessert I got soufflé but it was more like the American molten lava cake than an actual soufflé. I really enjoyed the restaurant. :)

Have been here a couple times during business travel. I had the caprese to start and a special of grilled calamari and black squid ink sauce with broccoli and potatoes...AMAZING! For great Italian food this is the place for me in Nuremberg! Went back again tonight another delicious meal...a shell fish appetizer of clams, mussels and razor clams only wish there was more...the filet pasta was amazing and more Sangiovese and lemon cello another after drink cooked by this great staff with great service and amazing food!

This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the world. The chef has mastered his craft. I have been to Nuremberg twice. Both times I dined here. And was then compelled to return the next night. Both times. The last time I ate here, I asked that the chef to select my meal and I was treated to a wonderful journey of surprising dishes. I had the pleasure of a visit from the chef at the end of the meal. He joined me for a glass of wine and warm conversation. Truly kind, humble and talented young man. The staff are all what you would expect to be surrounding culinary excellence. Professional and funny. I will be back next time in Nuremberg. Probably twice.

Situated in the central. Great food with a good selection of wine. Ending the visit with good desserts. Most importantly, friendly service .

Excelent Italian restaurant in the heart of Nuremberg. Service is a little slow but it is compensated by the quality of the food. The pistaccio tiramisu was my favorite desert. The staff was extremely nice and very friendly. If you want very good Italian food this is the place to go.

After all the reviews, I have to say, this place is just average. Food is not particular amazing here.

As minute after minute passed without them even offering water, my expectations decreased. The spaghetti was firm and not overcooked. On the other hand, it was served steaming hot - in fact, steam was trapped inside the pasta, making it harder to get into. The tomatoes in my spaghetti were acid-forward and dying for umami. The sauce needed to be cooked down to achieve the desired thickness. On the positive side, the pizza was better. We asked for honey to help add sweetness, which really confused our waiter somehow. Maybe it's not a common condiment in Europe? But they did have a squeeze bottle of it. I was hopeful for quality since they had a specials board, but really, this restaurant is a tourist trap.

Food was good, not the best Italian but far from the worst I've had. Pizza had a nice crust and the pasta was hot and fresh. Not sure if it's a European or German thing but once you get your food you rarely see your server again and that was no different here. After finishing we sat for at least 15min before managing to flag over the server and ask for the desert menu - no upselling here! After getting the desert, profiteroles (we're ok), we again waited for an eternity to get the bill. Food, a solid 7 and service more like a 5. So many options in the old part that it's hard to say this worthy of 4 or 5 stars.

I ordered Bolognese pasta to go. Paid and was told it should be ready in a few minutes. No problem. So there I stand and wait. And wait. Another customer came by and ordered a pizza. Another came by and ordered pasta and when they received their pasta, I inquired where my pasta was. So I was asked again what I wanted and asked for payment. I explained I already paid but never received my pasta. It was clear this guy didn't believe me, yelled back at the kitchen, back and forth it went, then I was told it would be a few minutes. When the pizza guy received and left with his pizza, I inquired again about my pasta. Again they wwere trying to take my order and charge me. So I asked for a refund upon which the guy got really angry, refused and yelled that he will give me pasta. It was obvious he thought I was cheating him out of pasta. I did eventually get my pasta, but I have to say it was awful and definitely not worth the half hour I spent waiting for my 'quick' to go dinner. I am actually wondering if it was awful on purpose since it was plain to see that I was assumed to be a liar. So if you are going with the street vending, get a receipt for sure.

The patio is blocked off from the street traffic by umbrellas and big planters, which give you almost a backyard feel. Prices are very reasonable and the service is relatively fast and friendly. I see other reviews stating you had to order inside, but I did have table service out on the patio. I indulged in an Aperol Spritz, which was delicious. A large size generous pour I must say. I devoured my tuna pizza (yep that's a thing in Europe) as is was perfect. Lots of tuna, onions and capers with a delicious oven-fired crust. Highly recommend this place. I did not venture inside, so I cannot describe that part unfortunately.

The restaurant's menu (unlike some) had no English translation, though you can likely intuit the content of many dishes by some common, root language. My friend and I intended to split a pasta dish and had hoped to get an order of garlic bread. When we attempted to order that, the waiter seemed to shut down that option and implied that we would need to buy an additional dish to get garlic bread. So we ordered both a Margarita pizza and a multi-cheese sauce pasta (called the Formaggio), as well as some water and a single glass of wine. The food came very promptly, but with only one 'share' plate. We got a small carafe of water and a single glass (not two glasses). The pasta came with two slices of bread, which was not garlic bread. That said, the bread was delicious, as was the pasta. The pizza was not the best I've had, but definitely decent. As suspected, the amount of food was more than the two of us needed, but I feel like the waiter was trying to dissuade us from sharing a single dish. Also, he had talked down to another waiter trying to speak to us in German, saying to use English; but when he spoke to us, he did not have a very good command of English himself. Once we finished eating, dishes were very abruptly cleared away, without asking if we wanted dessert or possibly a take out box for the remaining pizza (or if we wanted our bill). We didn't necessarily want to take it with us, but it felt odd to not hear an offer for that. So, if you want good food and don't care about high quality service, definitely check this place out. Or, you may just need to lower service quality expectations in exchange for good food.
