It was a huge risk for the cost. I even read reviews that weren't so nice. However, my sixth sense said 'Go for it'. Thank you PJ and your team for your fantastic craftsmanship and for a perfect deck. How many vendors encourage their clients to find flaws in their work so that it can be fixed immediately. I was practically making it up as this absolutely beautiful deck could be featured in House Beautiful. What surprised me most was it was simply a necessity for us to redo our original deck. Our deck was starting to rot giving my grandchildren splinters. As always, the wear and tear of the deck's appearance was so normal to my eyes that the stark difference in the beauty of PJ'S deck was startling. My friends decided to use companies that charge Cadillac prices. I chose a Chevrolet price for a Cadillac look. PJ went one step forward. I asked PJ if he could customize something for me on my deck. My husband and I had a really great experience with Paddy-O-Deck. We had an existing deck that we wanted to update from the moment we moved into our home. We entertain a lot and were never happy with our old deck. PJ gave us an estimate and made a lot of suggestions to improve the look and make it unique, as well as save us some money. He suggested we keep our existing framework, add a privacy wall and full board skirt that didn't include lattice (my husband and I cannot stand lattice and wanted other options), and curved our deck. I especially LOVE the curved look of our deck - I've never seen it done before and think it's very sharp. He also improved our stairs and added a planter box to tie into the landscaping we wish to complete this year. PJ was professional and easy to work with - I never waited more than a few hours to hear back from him. After meeting with several deck companies, we decided to go with Paddy O Deck. PJ was prompt, courteous, and very competitive in his price. Two reason why we decided on Paddy O Deck is 1 - His knowledge of composite decks, and 2 - the time frame in which he was able to complete the job. Most of the deck companies estimated 5-9 days. PJ estimated 2 days and was actually done in just shy of two. We asked for some things to be customized and PJ assured us that could be done without a problem. Brought in the guys from Paddy-O-Deck for a composite resurface estimate on my old wood deck. It was a large project and not only were they professional and prompt but they came in literally thousands less than two other quotes I received. The deck looks amazing, the product looks amazing, and I had the remaining finances to add a bench, planter, and lights in the railing throughout. Really professional, clean, and courteous from start to finish. They were in and out in a day and a half, including the removal of the old decking. I recently purchased a house in the Dix Hills area and when I needed to find someone to rebuild my existing deck I looked online and found three companies I was familiar with.
