Wow! What an incredible spot this is on the Gold Coast. Don't be worried by the lines, plenty of seats here. The chicken burger was FANTASTIC and the pastries are amazing. Don't miss this spot while you are in town!

The atmosphere, the food, the gathering just incredible. Such a lovely place at Miami, the Gold Coast.

Hand down one of the best breakfast spots in Gold Coast! They have a huge parking lot which makes it easy to find a spot. Upon entry you can either go to the trailer for a takeaway order or you can grab a table and browse over the menu. It's a self-service cafe, so once you figure out what you would like - have one person stand in line to order and give the table number while the other person stays at the table. My favorite item to order is the Smoked Salmon Bagel. Although it seems like such a simple dish - it is truly the best I have ever had! The soft freshly made bagel with the nice cream cheese and garnish is so delicious. It normally comes with onions and capers too but I ask for them removed. My partner loves the Kimchi Burger and this is also one of their popular dishes. As for desserts - the cheesecake is incredible!! I'm always skeptical about cheesecakes and I'm known to make one of the best ones at home, however this one is fantastic! It's not too sweet and the texture is perfect. The carrot cake was good too but a bit too sweet for my preference. Overall a fantastic place to get breakfast, lunch, bakery items or drinks. The staff are all super friendly and the food is amazing. You also get to watch their making their bakery items fresh each day behind a glass window. Highly recommend!

Lindt White Chocolate & Strawberry Muffins - the best!

One of my favourite spots on the GC! It's an artisan bakery with an amazing, varied selection of baked goods and also has an extensive brunch menu. There's specials every month but my go to is the white chocolate and strawberry muffin - delicious. Also, there's a takeaway stand out the front. The atmosphere is great, with multiple large seating areas which is super practical considering it gets busy on weekends. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in the area! Awesome coffee too. Always friendly staff.

This bakery hidden in the back streets of Miami/Burleigh Heads is a wonderful spot to have lunch. The bakery is in a converted house with rustic wooden furniture, open plan kitchen and garden seating so you feel like you are eating at someone's house. Our turkey cranberry sandwich and winter vegetable salad was delicious but we thought it was a little pricey - especially as it was served on disposable plates.

You wouldn't expect to find a super cute cafe slash wood-fire bakery in the industrial back streets of Miami, yet Paddock Bakery is there and by all accounts on this Saturday morning, a quaint spot for locals. Stopping in for an early breakfast, the waft of fresh baked bread fills this converted cottage. It's counter service and once you order you're given a wooden spool as your table number. While my inner-child wanted to order the fairy bread, I opted for the much more responsible dippy eggs (soft-boiled eggs with soldiers) which came in an egg carton and included labna, bacon and parsley. A well balanced and light start to the day. Paired with a coffee made on their house blend beans - I was a happy camper. This is another in the new age of the "Gold Coast" and a great spot to stop and smell the roses if you happen to be in the area.

This place opened up and was an instant whirlwind - crowded from go. I think they are best known for their fresh sourdough, but they have a nice small breakfast selection. I had the dippy eggs with "soldiers" ...not exactly sure what they called it. It was presented in such a clever and cute way in a cardboard egg container that would have held 6 eggs - it comes with 2 eggs and then they give you some herbed butter in one spot, bits of diced up bacon in another and some micro herbs the other side has your perfectly sliced up bits of bread to dip in your eggs. Totally delicious! I wish I had got a sweet treat as well, I've heard they do some sort of banana/nut bread that's really good. If I'm down on the coast again I'd definitely try to stop by!

Sorry, Carrara locals, but the jig is up. I know your secret, and your secret is Maurita, located…read morein the Carrara Food Fair (Coco's). It's preposterous how cheap you guys get some killer basic Italian nosh! Absolutely ludicrous! Coffee and cake for only $2.80? Okay, so I'm too afraid to try the coffee. But it's not like I come to Maurita every single time I am down the coast for the coffee... It's the cannoli. A mere $3 each shell, with fillings of vanilla custard, chocolate custard, or--my personal favourite--ricotta and fresh cream, otherwise known as cannoli Sicilliani. Be still, my beating heart. Ever since the guy at work who lives down on the GC brought in a whole jenga stack of cannoli for us office drones, I have been a fan. For my birthday at work earlier this year, my only request was "CANNOLI, PLEASE". Any time I've had to do a work favour for this guy, I've asked for payment in cannoli. And then, earlier this year, I was down on the GC for a day, and I realised... I could have it all. I could have my cannoli and eat it, too. I could visit Cannolo Mecca. The work guy coughed up the name and address and it was immediately added to my itinerary. It wasn't until I got to Maurita that I discovered it's got a lot more going on than just cannoli, though if they wanted to close down everything else there and just focus on cannoli, I'd still be okay with it. I'm not sure the locals would agree, though, because the couple of times I've been there myself now, it's been swamped with people at the small, cramped seating areas both inside and outside, stuffing their faces with as much savoury as sweet. $3 bruschetta, $4 pizzas, $4.50 salad rolls, $5 focaccias, $5 lasagna with salad & crusty bread... this is getting out of hand. What about global inflation!? Look, my only problem with writing this review is that now I really want some more cannoli and I'm not sure when I'll be able to get my next fix. Better go see if that guy at work needs any favours.

His wife Sophie manages the front of the store. Both of them are so friendly! My partner and I have been here quite a few times. They currently have 44 different individual desserts not including all of their macaroon options, bakery items (croissants, breads, etc) and large cakes. Out of the 44 I have tried 8 of them. My favorite two so far have been the Bisou Tropical and the Intense. The Bisou Tropical is one of the newer desserts. It has passionfruit and strawberry. The Intense has dark chocolate with raspberry. I recently just had a birthday and my partner surprised me with a large Intense cake. It was so delicious and lasted us several days as it was just us two eating it. I love the variety of options they have here and no dessert has disappointed us yet. Some I like more than others, but they are all delicious! Plus the customer service is always fantastic. Highly recommend visiting!

I guess the reason it might be missed is that it does not really stand out on the main road. Maybe the owners need to think about new signage. But, apparently it does get quite busy on certain days of the week. When you walk into the patisserie you will see two framed awards for Excellence Winner in "SA Restaurant and Catering". Well, that is impressive! Then you are greeted with a smile and a mighty fine selection of very high quality pastries and cakes. They also have a number of large cakes available for purchase. Oh, and the croissants looked so amazing I have to return to give those a go! Each cake and pastry is made with precision and expertise. This is not your general bakery around the corner Yelpers. This is something you need to travel, see and try! Check out the pictures to get an idea. After a very hard decision, I settled with the Gateau a La Orange. I really love a simple well-balanced cake. So, I thought this was a great choice to test their expertise. And it definitely delivered. What I love about the cake is that it is not too sweet. Sometimes orange cakes can be overdone with sugar and a little dense. This one was neither. It was fluffy, moist and comfortably orange in flavour. In fact, I just didn't feel naughty eating it. So they are doing something right! Oh and their coffee comes out in really large cups. Almost mug size! Good quality too, so another tick for me. Aux Fine Bouches, tu as volé mon cœur avec un gâteau! Bien joué!
