My main issue is that I got a racket with default strings that I had to realign every few shots. I arrived after getting an appointment and I didn't know what tension / setup that I needed. Rodger got 7 rackets, brought me onto the court to try the different tensions, during which, he pointed out a couple of errors I was making on my swing. He also showed me some video clips of Alcaraz, showing his swing and follow through that I wasn't doing. The 53 lb racket seemed to work best so we went with that. Couple of hours later he texted me saying my racket was ready. Rodger is clearly passionate about every aspect of tennis and gives his time and expertise generously.

The class sizes are much smaller than most other programs, which is obviously a plus. At the end of each term you are given assessments of your child's work, which is very helpful at home when we are working with her. We've just started with Jonathan a couple weeks ago but already we can play together (vs. just chasing high balls and out balls and getting frustrated with eachother for being hopeless), and Jonathan is helping us get a really good foundation in technique but keeps it stimulating and active. His lessons are fun and very active, but never rushed. Jonathan is a lot of fun even though he takes his job seriously. He also teaches the specialty stretching techniques so that we can avoid injuries in the agile sport of tennis. This park has no shade over the playground which really sucks because it's such a nice playground. It's fully covered in sand which is a pro or con to some. My boys love the sand and it keeps them occupied for hours so it's a pro for me. They have restrooms, although I wish they would clean them more often. Everytime I've been it's been pretty dirty. Love that there are a bunch of picnic tables, however, none of them have covers to them. Some are where there are trees but other than that, mainly sunny. Since it's a recreation center they have a pool. The website states heated and year round but I've never been so I'm not too sure. But typical 4$ for adults and 1$ for kids. They have basketball courts that often fill up during the weekends. And lots of grass area to run around. Overall we do enjoy this park, just wish it had more shade.
