Welcome back, welcome back…read more After many years of avoiding the plant from various experience from it's Regency having broken ticket machines, seating and major issues. From the high security in Home Depot and date feel to it's complete revamp in more recent years. The Plant is a huge open mall shopping center with major stores including Burlington, Ross dress for Less and Home Depot to name a few. They have various mall classics such as GameStop, GNC and Starbucks For eats you have OneHawaiian BBQ, Blaze Pizza, Chipotle and In N Out to name most There's Petsmart for your pet needs. Sally Beauty aka Sally's for your hair care needs. I've been to Regency more this year than I have in the past 10 and dig the GameStop, appreciate The Gap as well as the L.A. Care Community Resource Center (formerly where the HomeTown Buffet was back in the day). There's so much parking in all direction including behind, on the Regency side. Great affordable clothing, comforts, services and food. It stays busy, but rarely feels overwhelming. It's very close to the Van Nuys Train Station for the Amtrak + MetroLink and being off Van Nuys Blvd it's connected to a lot of local LA Metro busses/services like LADOT DASH. Enjoy the power of The Plant seven days a week, see individual places for their hours.

I don't spend much time here but on occasions, I'll pop over to some of the stores. It's decent…read moresize strip mall with a good selection of chain stores. The biggest being Home Depot, Ross and Burlington. There's an also smaller stores like 5 Below, Sally's Beauty, Petsmart, Ulta Beauty, Gap outlet and Old Navy. There was Party City but it recently closed a couple months ago. Not only that, it also house the Regency Theatre around the back. There's a few food options, more chain places but In and Out being the top contender. Besides that, you have other chain's restaurants along the strip of Van Nuys Blvd. There loads of parking spaces available which comes in handy. Both for the strip mall as well out back where the movie theatre is. Across the street is Living Spaces. Another chain stores for furniture. It's pretty massive and I believe it's affiliated with the plant.

I've driven by this mall so many times on the freeway & I finally was able to go check it out…read more Good: plenty of parking, spacious walkways, clean, doggie potty area, big movie theater. Bad: mall is split up with streets running through it, parking is expensive, extremely limited number of stores to actually shop at, majority of stores are located across the Laurel Grove Drive which is quite a walk if you parked in the main lot in the middle of the complex. I only went to Daiso, Five Below, Starbucks because those were the only ones you can shop at in the main part of the mall which is unbelievably weird. It's like this mall had an identity crisis, couldn't figure out if it should be more of an entertainment center (movie theater, restaurants) or shopping center (Daiso, Five Below, Nordstrom Rack). Many vacancies, alot of random stores that you wouldn't go to unless you had or needed to like Spectrum, nail & beauty salons, orthodontist, chiropractor, Verizon, Carbon Health. The main part of the mall is Nordstrom Rack, Starbucks, Daiso, Five Below, LA Fitness. Gnomon (computer graphics, visual effects school) & Regal Cinemas take up the majority part of this section. There seems to be no thought to what a mall shopper would want or wish to go to when they arrive to the heart of a mall. On the "strip mall" area which is across the street and around the corner, there are Ulta, Trader Joe's, mostly cafes, quick bites like Jersey Mike's, Crumbl, It's Boba Time, MOD pizza. Again, only Ulta for someone looking to do mall shopping. Although this mall is modern, clean, great parking structure (expensive but lots of spaces), there's absolutely little to offer. Would I go back?? No way! This is an incredibly disappointing shopping center & if you're hoping to do some retail therapy, go to Sherman Oaks Galleria or Westfield Fashion Square.

This has developed so much since I was here in 2021 and I like the new additions like Nordstrom…read moreRack and LA Fitness. They have a few elevated fast food-ish places like a Mediterranean place owned by Umami. We scored a free parking spot outside the garage so no validation was needed.
