No joke, at least an hour. 3 kids working. Other family got 3 extra milkshakes bc they made so many mistakes. Seems impossible. My ice cream was good at least.

And of course you have the community reputation to go with it. The Dairy Corner is well known, and well visited for these reasons. You will likely have to pack on the side of the road in front of the place and you may either have to take your tasty treat to go or just stand around and eat, as the tables fill up quick. But on a cool evening, with the sunset painting the sky and a windmill turning (just behind the place) you won't even notice. The team here is always friendly, and I mean how could you not be happy to work at such a place? In my visits (thus far) I have enjoyed a sundae, a waffle cone (two scoops), and a bowl (also two scoops). All were quality, much larger than I expected, and the flavors were spot on (e.g. apple pie). They have the usual; floats, shakes, blended flavors, staple flavors, and weekly flavors. This is the kind of business you hope nothing ever changes. Just keep doing what they do. I know I'll be there to support them in the months and years to come!

I'm very disappointed! Im a previous customer who will not EVER return…read more Last year, they missed the ombre mark on a two-tier cake. I let that pass. Photos attached. I paid $250 for a two-tier cake UNDECORATED. I added all of the items on the cake myself. You can clearly see they missed the ombre color scheme. This year, I ordered a 3 layer cake with a colored photo provided by my granddaughter. I requested pink, purple, pink inside with strawberry filling. They missed the color of the cake inside and outside completely. Pink vs neon pink. The cake tasted awful. The icing was slopped on the cake without care. It melted 45 minutes into transport. There was not enough support inside the cake as the top layer slid off during transport. They made an entirely different cake! A $10 refund was offered. It's such a joke. I wasn't able to pick up cake due to my father passing away. So my son picked up the cake. He couldn't refuse the cake bc it was going directly to the party. He had no time to change or complain. My granddaughter was so upset she didn't get the cake SHE picked out. Look at the photos, and YOU choose if YOU want to do business with them. The first picture was the cake my granddaughter chose. The rest of the photos are the cake we received. The girl answering the phone said the owner sits home and does paperwork. She does not come in the bakery to do any baking or decorating. That in itself allows you to make your decision if you want to do business with them. If you are looking for quality and specifics, try another bakery. Joyce, the former owner, is no longer here who took pride in everything that went out the door.  I am disputing the $72 charge with my bank.

The prices alone are very good reason to come over and try something on the menu. We love ice cream, and this place has the best prices in the DC, Virginia, West Virginia corridor. They have an extensive menu, but they specialize in soft serve ice cream. Their portions are generous. The service is very good and again the prices are unbeatable. There is enough parking available for all. There is outdoor seating from the weather is nice.

I saw on the sign how many fundraisers they do for local sports and clubs, for example. Ice cream is great, MANY flavors and options, and the most important part of this review? If you order a small expect a LARGE. If you order a kid size, expect a regular MEDIUM. If you order a large? I can't imagine!! Seriously, the banana split could feed a small town. One kid sundae, a gaggle of kids. I'll always be ordering a child size and will still be able to share my portion. Employees are very friendly, this place is great for kids, there are tables outside, and ample parking. Right next to the road so a bit busy/noisy but it's all part of the roadside appeal. Driving from Berkeley Springs to Winchester and someone is itching for a frozen treat? PULL OVER -- everyone will be happy! Oh and I saw that they have snow cones... which is only relevant if you are my six-year-old son. :) Blue raspberry snow cones are surprisingly hard to find, so I know where to go next time we owe him one!

The variety of products was surprisingly large for a small…read moreshop. 28 different items in the display cases and 8 varieties of prepackaged cookies on the shelves. This is a family business that started in the home kitchen. It is run by a woman who has a love for baking. With that in mind, I expected homestyle pastries, and that's what they provided. My wife and I tried 4 pastries. 1) Walnut Toffee Bar It had moderate sweetness, a light toffee flavor, and moderate walnut flavor. The bottom layer was a slightly sweet cookie type base that was moist and slightly chewy. It was topped with walnuts and toffee. More toffee flavor was needed, but this is great for lovers of walnuts. 2) Gooey Chewie Bar This was definitely gooey from lots of caramel in a chewy fudge like bar. It wasn't overly sweet. It had some pieces of nuts in it. The crisp crust on top was slightly sweet and had great texture. It was a simple dessert that was made well. 3) Blueberry Crumble It had a flaky croissant like pastry shell filled on top with blueberry jam and cream cheese. It looked like a danish. The cream cheese was smooth and light with a natural flavor. It was not sweet. Sweetness came from the blueberry jam. It had a good sweet fruit flavor that contrasted nicely with the slightly tangy cream cheese. The pastry shell was well-made. The exterior was flaky and crisp while the interior was light, airy, and slightly chewy. This dessert doesn't look pretty, but the flavors were well-matched and satisfying. 4) Cinnamon Roll with spiced cream cheese frosting The spices in the cream cheese were cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. The spices were subtle tasting, but there was enough to give the frosting flavor a hint of spiciness. The roll was soft, moist, and slightly tacky between the layers where the cinnamon was located. The spicy cinnamon was balanced with sweetness from the frosting and roll. Overall, the taste and texture were excellent. The service was helpful, polite, and quick. The store was very clean. They don't have restrooms, tables, or chairs for customers. They have cakes, slices of cake, cupcakes, muffins, quiches, brownies, scones, cookies, coffee, tea, and bottled water. Everything was reasonably priced. The pastries and cookies were not fancy or unique. There was no pastry chef level of presentations here. Everything looked homemade. The food here brings warm feelings of home cooking. They're a good place for comfort food.
