I immediately called and told them. they assured me that everything that went on the truck came off the truck. I advised them to check the truck again. I received a phone call that yes in fact the picture was buried under moving blankets and they had it. it is now November 30 and they still have not returned the picture. most of this conversation is in text so I'm off to the police station to press charge. "DONT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY " one star rating because it won't let me post otherwise

Damage to Furniture & Breach of Packing Agreement -West Canada Movers Inc. During my recent move…read morewith West Canada Movers Inc., several pieces of my furniture were delivered with visible damage. The damage includes chipped edges, dents, and surface scratches as shown in the attached photos. One of the furniture also completely destroyed and unable to use it anymore. According to our signed contract, the movers were supposed to protect all furniture with moving blankets to prevent such damage.Also, they told us they will be wrapped with blankets in their depot but it did not happen. They delivered our furnitures from Toronto to Edmonton without proper protections and blankets. As evident from the delivery condition, my furniture was only wrapped in bubble wrap or plastic film BY MYSELF in some cases, and in others, the corners and edges were left inadequately protected. No thick moving blankets were used as stated in the agreement. If I wasn't wrap myself, all of my furnitures would be useless. They also told us that they will inform us about damages however they never contacted with us. This company is not applying measures as they said. Proper blanket wrapping is a key protective measure for preventing impact and abrasion damage during transportation. The lack of such coverage directly led to the damages sustained.

Dealt with Brad, the owner. Brad is attentive, respectful, responsive, reliable, trustworthy, etc etc. Simply a wonderful businessman. He gets personally invested in his customers. The guys he had working for him were also fabulous. They were very careful and respectful, yet extremely efficient,. with all my goods. They did not dilly dally and waisted no time what so ever. They really knew their stuff. They were more than happy to allow me to give directions and placed everything just as I wanted. They went over and above with their service. It is wonderful to see a moving company that has such high quality staff. My friend that was supposed to take all my smaller stuff on July 1/24 bailed and I was desperate to get someone to help me out on such short notice. Brad came to my rescue and made sure he found someone to help me. Brad and his team are the best and I wish him many many years more of providing the BEST moving service in Edmonton.

Our experience with Funk's is summed up really well by the two-star description of "Could've been…read morebetter". Funk's is one of the companies used by a local fitness company to move and deliver fitness equipment, so we hired them to move a piece of cardio equipment from one house to a second house. We were explicit about what the move entailed, giving the brand and model number of the equipment. The movers showed up to the first location missing a key tool needed to take a piece of the equipment off for moving it, making it really challenging to get it out of the home and into the moving truck. They were short and rude while trying to pack up the equipment, and then finally asked for the help of my husband and another person helping with the move to carry the unit up the stairs. It was too heavy without the proper disassembly for them to move. At the second location, things didn't go much better. The movers spent over an hour trying to get the equipment into pieces in our front entry that were light enough to move into our basement. I spoke to them and was assured that they would move it without damaging any drywall, but they took a few significant gouges out of the walls on my stairs, including stripping the paint and finishing off a corner in a few spots. I haven't had the heart to repair the damage yet, but I will have to do wall repairs in multiple locations (patching, sanding and repainting). The whole reason I hired a company was to avoid this type of damage. The moving process was quoted for one hour, and it took nearly three hours, causing difficulty as I had to return to work after a certain point. Finally, the re-assembly of the equipment wasn't done well. There was dirt from the outdoors in one of the tracks that had to be cleaned, and one part was so loose we had to take off a bunch of pieces and fix it back together before using the equipment. I wish they had come with the proper tools, and that they also took more care with the whole process.

It was ages until we realized so much stuff was missing. Whether it was taken in Edmonton or while it was in storage, who knows. The possessions were irreplaceable. A blanket from the Olympics in Sarajevo. A Japanese kuido archery bow, an Indonesian shadow puppet. Much more. If you use these guys, pack your own stuff. They hire thieves.

Some of their team members (actuals movers) are really good - conscientious, careful - but the office / sales staff is lacking when it comes to customer service. Could not recommend just based on the complete lack of customer service after the move.
