He had a good idea of what might be wrong and invited me to bring the truck in for an assessment. After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. He walked me through everything clearly and provided a very reasonable estimate for a full rebuild. Throughout the entire process, Ed was easy to communicate with, always professional, and genuinely helpful with his advice. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond after the repair. I was told this type damage might be covered under my comprehensive auto insurance. The specific person I spoke to was Charlie, who was very helpful. My problem was my 2012 Volks EOS, it would burn through oil and randomly empty its oil pan on the ground every 2-3 weeks. I brought it here and they idled the car for a while to replicate my issue with no success. They then took a look at the bottom and found an issue with one of the screws for the oil pan. He recommended that I go back to the shop that did it to avoid charging me an unnecessary fee. Unfortunately, the problem persists, I bring it back. Charlie actually recommended that I take it to a euro car shop instead to diagnose my specific issue. The shop has the most experience in more generic, asian cars (Honda, Toyota, etc). I am very grateful for the unpaid time the crew put into trying to diagnose my car and the full transparency they gave me. Everyone was working to save my money instead of trying to spend my money. As a woman who definitely looks like they've never touched a car, that is very rare and very appreciated.

I also like reading the one-star reviews because, let's be honest, you really can't please everyone. I just wanted to find an honest and trustworthy shop. I called and spoke with Ron right before closing time. He took the time to listen to everything I was experiencing, explained what he thought the issue could be, and told me to bring the van in the next morning. Their shop opens at 8:00 AM, but when I arrived around 7:45 AM, they were already there working on vehicles. When I walked in, Ron remembered our conversation from the previous day, which immediately made me feel comfortable. He scanned my van but didn't notice anything unusual. He reset my ECM and another setting, and thankfully that solved the problem. What impressed me the most was that Ron didn't charge me a dime for his time or help, even though I genuinely wanted to give him something for helping me out. Long story short, they said it was possibly the valve body that need to be replaced and quoted my 1400 to do so. In fact, they said they had to get the part from the dealer and it was non refundable if that wasn't the cause! A quick search brought me to Transmission Masters and after speaking with Ron I decided to have it towed to his shop. It was the right move! It turned out that the valve body needed to be cleaned and the check balls replaced. He completed the work in a few hours and charged me a heck of a lot less of what I was quoted. What an honest man! Danny was about to go to lunch but waited for me. He not only checked my windshield washer pump and system, he diagnosed it with a separate power source and determined that the pump for the front and back washer were still working (!) but they just were not getting power. He said to go to an electrical place where they can follow the wires to get it back online. He was SO helpful even though it was not something he covers (because my car was so old the parts and wire diagram not easy to source). I was so impressed with his detective style in figuring out what the problem was and then not even charging me, I can see why he maintains a 5 star rating!
