Scott and Kelly advised me my client was pre-approved and even sent us the pre-approval letter and we went out to search for a home. Once we found the home Kelly advised my client to pay $32 for a credit report to pull her credit and then a day later we hear that my client is not qualified which should have been done at the beginning. It honestly feels like they knew this yet collected the funds from my client before giving us this information. Fairway Funding Group is a terrible Financing company. They were recommended to us by our realtor,…read moreand that is the only reason we used them. Terrible customer service, would take 4-5 days to receive a response to a sent email or left voicemail. Never did a rate lock on our loan until we told them 5 times, took over 3 weeks to get the rate lock done and then it was at a higher rate than is the going rate on a 30 year-loan. Could not explain the rates associated with the loan on the closing documents and told us to either take the loan or leave the loan a week before closing. They asked why $90 or $100 fees would matter to us since we were buying a $300K property? This is beyond terrible customer service, and I would suggest staying far away from this business and using a competitor.
