Liberty Firearms Institute - A look at the 100-yard range as I was shooting an M1A (Rental) in 2022.

When I asked why they would have that at an indoor range the employee said they had a 100 yard range. He said it was "really old" despite the brand new stock. It looked in 8/10 exterior condition to be honest. I asked if he had an idea how many rounds had been shot out of it, he said probably between 50-100k. Math wasn't mathing, I thought to myself who goes to an indoor range to shoot a bolt rifle at $2/Round - not many people. Couldn't dissuade me I told him I'd take it. Came back 3 days later to pick it up and mentioned the previous interaction to a new employee after he himself was amazed at the deal and he chuckled when I said I thought the previous employee was just trying to talk people out of it till his next paycheck hit and mentioned employees have a 2 week wait till their can buy any guns on the wall. Anyways, smoking deal on the RPR. Worried about the barrel being shot out I scoped it with a borescope and it looks amazing. Once in a lifetime deal. Been here a couple of times before and they honored their pricing on .243 as the shelf read $6-8 less than what it range up as. Overall huge store, decent collection of guns not as many as I'd think they would have considering the amount of cases they have. Over nice clean store, could use some more employees behind the counter as there's probably 5x that through the campus.

All of the ranges are kept in excellent working condition 2 x 25 yds, 1 x 50yds & 1 x 100 yds, Bopper (Steel plates) and an interactive (Simulation Range). The RSOs are friendly but firm on the rules, as it should be. The sales folk will always be happy to sell you a new, new-to-you firearm or Order it if they don't have it on hand. If you need to try a firearm out before purchasing, you can always Rent one from their catalog of available firearms. If you need Training, they have in-house trainers via the Makhaira Group and classrooms on-site.

Prior to Saturday, June 17th, '23, I had been to Trigger Time once with a long-standing member of the club. Even though I have shot a great number of guns there - as well as out in the wilderness - I knew that I needed formal instruction. The father & son teaching the class together were superb (Perry & Troy Morris). Both certified by the NRA, I knew that these two men were the real deal. [They also struck me as really good humans.]    The lecture portion of the course was nicely jazzed up with humor and interaction, and the Powerpoint presentation itself wasn't a snoozer like so many Power Points wind up being. These astute learning leaders maintained our attention and alertness by providing frequent breaks and interesting facts throughout the day.   Regarding the hands-on portion of the class, Troy and Perry were marvelously encouraging and provided the perfect amount of assistance & intervention.  From loading and proper grip to stance & hitting the target, the father & son team made the experience downright enjoyable. Since taking the class, my intimidation and fear in handling guns has diminished greatly and my basic pistol skills seem more solidified. That being said, I am going to recommend the Pistol Basics class - and Trigger Time, the business itself, particularly to other women.

I am one of Jason's Students, I took his NRA Basic Pistol and CCW classes 5 years ago and to this…read moreday, he continues to train me with my firearms. I tend to be really good with my AR-15, but not so great with my G19. ( I personally am better with rifles) Jason has been very professional and patient with me through the years with our one on one at the range with my pistol training . when I started 5 years ago, I barely made the target, now I am in the body range and would have no problems , if I needed to defend myself. When I took his NRA Basic Pistol and CCW class, I felt comfortable in his class ( I am a female ) and all the information he provided me with. He is very thorough and makes sure you UNDERSTAND the LAWS and the FUNCTIONS OF YOUR FIREARM.. I took the same class three years prior with a gun club in Colorado Springs, spent four hours in that class, I was left confused and not sure if I wanted to carry a weapon. With Jason's 3 day, 10 hours a day class, I had the confidence I wanted and needed to carry my gun safely and I knew the Colorado Laws a lot better than before. I recommend all my friends to Jason for Firearms training, I recommend everyone to take his courses, I promise you, you wont be upset. Carrying a firearm in this day in age, is good. but you really need to be educated properly. If you're someone that was raised with Guns and your dad/grandpa /uncle or whomever taught you about Guns, great, but chances are they taught you some wrong information. Maybe you weren't raised with Guns and you want to learn more, awesome!! Jason will help you understand Guns in a way that is very comforting and he will even help you figure out what Gun would be best for you , he even goes to the gun shops with you. not many Instructors will do that . You really need to take a good course, anything less than 8 hours is a joke and if you pay anything less than $300 your setting yourself up for failure. In this case, you want to spend big, to get the best training ever, Firearms aren't something to take lightly and you shouldn't take the law lightly either. You can know all the ends and out of your weapon, but if you use it in self defense and don't know the law properly, you could get in deep doo doo. So, don't be an idiot with a firearm, instead be smart and take Jason's classes, get educated and keep going back for more training, you can NEVER HAVE ENOUGH TRAINING in my opinion . Jason, has lots of training skills and he has even been an instructor out at Front Sight in NV, which if you don't know what that is, its a very large Firearms training school for all sorts of shooters. Movie stars, Military, LE, and normal people like you and me.

His 3-day course is packed full of information that honestly changed my life and way of thinking. The first day is Colorado's required course in order to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit in Colorado; NRA Basic Pistol, which covers the mechanics of a handgun. As you will find with this required course, it doesn't even address anything about concealed carry. Because of this shortfall in Colorado's requirements, Mac developed his successive 2 additional days of his course for concealed carry; the laws specifically for Colorado, the mindset, tactical application/instruction, handgun options for concealed carry, types of holsters or carry options, accessories, drawing (presentation from the holster) and so much more.
