I absolutely love this farmers market! It's located at Mariners Church, and even though the church…read moreparking lot is massive, everyone seems to know about the farmers market. Because it gets so popular and busy, finding parking can still be a bit of a challenge. They are open every Saturday from 8:00am-12:00pm. Some of the vendors I can list off the top of my head include: Earth & Egg Farms (always a long line), Freshly Made (sells coffee, matcha - they also have delicious pastries at another booth close by). Without knowing all the vendors by name, they sell good-quality avocado oil, nut butters and jams, juicy fruits such as white peaches, grapefruits, oranges, farm-raised zucchini, fresh basil and parsley, and beautiful flower arrangements. There's also live music, which adds such a fun and lively atmosphere while you look around! When you get hungry, they sell very refreshing agua frescas, pupusas, galbi/chicken bowls, chocolate covered strawberries, fruits wrapped in mochi, freshly roasted peanuts, and more!

So far, my favorite one has been the Yorba Linda farmers market at Friends church. My overall review is that there are tons of fruit and vegetable stalls all with good pricing and quality products. Our favorite was especially the grapes (Kyoho Grapes). They were melting your mouth delicious. The food vendors had a good variety of items to try. My favorite so far has been the mama musubi- we got the spicy tuna miso and sea salted salmon rice balls. I do wish they had more variety of sourdough and honey vendors. We didn't stop for coffee here but Nitro Cold Brew is always a favorite. It is a far drive but you can easily spend 1-1.5 hours here. The church has large campus with bathrooms and their own coffee shop. The thrift store is also available at 10am for perusing.

The Mission Viejo Farmers Market is a smaller farmers market that takes place on Saturdays from 9AM…read moreto 1PM in the parking lot of the Mission Viejo Village Center mall. When I came there were several rows of vendors - mostly food products. I came sort of late - within the last half hour so some vendors were already closing up shop but I managed to snag a bunch of lumpias from a guy selling them for a good price so he won't have to take them home (the more you buy the less I have to eat). I also got some cold noodles from a booth called Laolijia Cold Noodles 老李家 that were selling ready-to-make kits of their their flavorful cold noodles. I also bought a jar of Abkhazian Adjika from Hot Jam Mamacita. There is an area in the parking lot with some seating and shade to consume food bought from vendors. There's also a porta potty if needed in the same area.

The ambiance was quiet, and the market was much smaller than I had expected. I felt a little awkward at times (as there were more vendors than patrons). What I like about this market is that parking is easy, the area feels safe, and it appears to be dog-friendly, as we saw a few dogs walking around. In terms of the actual selection, we got here in the morning when it opened, and there were maybe 3-4 vendors offering food options (coffee, asian buns, tamales), some baked goods (Croissants, sourdough bread), maybe 3-4 produce vendors (the typical OC produce vendors, pricing seemed similar), and the rest were crafts or specialty food vendor (e.g. granola, tea, pre-made dough). It took about five minutes to walk through the entire market, and nothing really stuck out to me. All in all, it's not a bad place to pick up some produce or stop by if you're in the area, but not a market I would go out of my way for (especially for fresh produce).

Parts of the farmer's market are located on the sidewalk, which can make it very difficult to walk when it gets crowded. Although it was pleasant to visit, I didn't see anything that I wanted. The tomato vendor had beautiful tomatoes. But, I found that most of the other produce seemed a bit wilted. The plant vendor's prices were very reasonable and he had a nice variety of air plants at great prices. Chaupain Bakery has a stall for a quick stop for a pastry. The bakery is walking distance and so worth a visit. Overall, if you're in the area , it's a nice stop. I just wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

But let me say The coconut Almond butter was delicious She gave us samples I will come back for this for sure. There was a vendor selling Cimichurri that was good we bought 2 jars 1 for and my niece bought one also We enjoy the lady who sells Tamales she was so sweet and told us how she doesn't use lard But the masa was so soft and white She gave me her secret on her masa On the smoothness I really enjoyed the Chicken w/ green chili And also had chili relleno tamal Very good too That a 5 for me In flavor and masa They are pricey but good You get 3 in pack. But the variety is a lot She have only ran out of one kind But she had savory to sweet.
