Review/Complaint - Luisa Chocolatiere, Laguna Hills…read more I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Luisa Chocolatiere in Laguna Hills. I placed an order for 30 white chocolate swans--a key part of the wedding favors--eight days prior to a wedding, with a confirmed pickup time of Thursday at 11:30 AM, the day before the event. When I arrived at the shop, the posted hours indicated it should have been open since 11 AM, but the store was closed and no one was there. I called multiple times and was given a series of excuses, including that her assistant had been hospitalized the week before. Eventually, Luisa arrived and continued to change her story, offering apology after apology and excuse after excuse. Only after I showed up in person did she actually begin to check whether the order could be completed. Several hours later, she claimed she could still fulfill the order and said the swans would be ready by 7 PM. Since we couldn't return that evening, we arranged to pick them up the next morning at 11:30 AM. Luisa said that would be no problem. However, the next morning, I began receiving texts saying the molds were damaged and she would not be able to complete the order. She offered only two swans--one for the bride and one for the groom. We ordered thirty. That was the entire point. This was a major letdown just before the wedding, and we were left scrambling. The owner demonstrated extremely poor communication, a complete lack of professionalism, and very questionable business practices. Once she accepted the order, she should have immediately confirmed that she had the capability and materials to fulfill it--not wait until the last minute. At no point was I told there might be a problem. This experience was an enormous disappointment during an important life event. I would never recommend Luisa Chocolatier to anyone. The owner is unreliable, disorganized, and lacks the accountability that any successful small business owner should have. I don't know how this shop is still in business.

We started the morning at their fresh juice window, and let me tell you: the beet-watermelon juice was incredible. Bright, refreshing, and served in reusable jars, which I absolutely loved. Sustainability isn't just a concept here; you see it in every detail. Next, we had a meditation session inside the dome, which was such a peaceful and centering moment. After that, we walked through the orchards, wandered the land, and just took in the beauty of everything this place cultivates. Lunch was where The Ecology Center truly shined. I'm a person from San Francisco, and I do not say this lightly: this was some of the best sourdough I've ever had. Perfectly chewy, soft, flavorful -- absolutely the real deal. They served it as avocado toast and also topped with fresh eggs, and both versions were phenomenal. The entire farm-to-table menu was next-level. The salads were crisp and thoughtful, every ingredient tasted like it had been picked that morning, and the flavors were paired with such care. The sourdough tarts we had for dessert were out of this world -- bright, tangy, and beautifully balanced. We even got to meet the chef, who was warm, talented, and clearly passionate about what she creates. You can taste that love in every bite. This was an epic meal and an unforgettable experience. If you want to truly taste what food is supposed to taste like -- fresh, intentional, and deeply connected to the land -- The Ecology Center should be at the top of your list.

The energy is spectacular. they have Friday night farm-to-table dinners, outdoor performances and live music, yoga and meditation in the dome, a market with all their produce and made on-site hot sauces and fermented items, and the star of the show: a regenerative organic farm (the only one in SoCal, might I add!) I came here for the strawberry picking experience and loved every second of it. Two minutes in, I was having so much fun! This space draws me close to what I want to be doing in this life. I'll absolutely be volunteering here and seeing what else will be added to such a beautiful place! I highly recommend the Ecology Center.

I got in line at the counter (1 of 2 sides). There was one lady being 'helped' ahead of me. A late middle aged woman store associate was helping the one customer. Over the next 10-15 minutes these two ladies chatted. The customer announced she was nit going to make a purchase. Yet they chatted on. The associate even brought the customer behind the counter to view items on the computer, and chatted. The associate did take a second to ask what it was that I needed and I of course let her know I was picking up an online order. She said someone would be able to help me soon, but went back to her social conversation. Ultimately after 10+ minutes of waiting, I interrupted their conversation and asked if there was a way I could get my order. She finally asked another associate if he could get my order. It took about 60 seconds to get my order. The associate went on to bizarrely claim she had done everything she could do to help me get my order. (Huh?) she may have issues. Social interaction as part of the in-person retail experience is terrific. I want retail to succeed. This one associate simply had no common sense or professionalism and does not help the William Sonoma brand nor retail experience.

I've never been to Williams-Sonoma before so this was a fantastic way to explore some place new! This month of September, the theme is Coffee, so today I experienced first-hand the taste of their Fellow Aiden Precision Coffee Maker. Nicole, the manager, was there to lead the way. I was the only one in attendance this morning so it made it easier listening one on one how it works. She was even kind enough to brew a Cafe Mocha using an automated maker in addition to the original cup she made. Nicole was very knowledgeable and happy to share how her products work. She's very experienced and she was happy to help myself and the other customers who needed assistance in the store. Honestly, from the Precision Coffee Maker and the automated machine, both work as a fantastic new addition to any coffee lovers homes, like myself. My cups came out smooth, hot, and tasty! 5/5 for both! Thank you, Nicole, for the great lesson! I look forward to learning and exploring more of Williams-Sonoma in the coming days ahead!

For the sides we got cornbread, river street corn elote, asparagus, mushrooms, brussel sprouts, and truffle parm fries. I highly recommend the truffle parm fries, super rich and crispy! For a group of 6, the elote portion was more for 2-3 people to share. I also did 6 fresh kumamoto oysters, which were very good as always expected of the kumamoto. They came with 2 different mignonettes and a cocktail sauce. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for oysters! For our main entrees, we opted for the Wagyu Classic Board and got to try 3 different chef's choice cuts of steak. Which came with picanha, ribeye, and I think filet. Picanha was a huge hit of course. We also got the Prime Tomahawk Steak which was good too, but the picanha and ribeye had my attention. At the end, Ramon overheard that it was mine and a buddy's birthday so he surprised us with the best hot and fresh Apple Cobbler I've ever had in my life. It came with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and be hooked us up with a cup of gelato with a candle to sing HBD too!
