We stopped by to check out the bbq cooking demo. We got beef and chicken bbq samples and it was delicious. Inside the store is bright, spacious and organized. Everything is frozen and there are really good deals for different cuts of meat, even specialty meat like Japanese wagyu beef. FIVE STARS for the meat; 1 star for the really uncomfortable shopping experience. I come to this location a lot and brought my mom and sister along this time because I'm always raving about it. While shopping a female worker with pink glasses quite literally stared and followed us, in a really unsubtle way, the entire time. SO much so that my mom eventually asked if she needed something! Mind you, this store is SMALL. At one point my sister and I were standing over by the seafood discussing what we should get. She left the register and came and stood right in front of us a few feet away. While my sister was making her selection I just stood there and made direct eye contact with her to make her just as uncomfortable as she was making me. She eventually turned and walked away. Honestly it was WEIRD. So weird a part of me wanted to leave without my food because why would I buy things from a place where the staff is making me feel like I shouldn't be there or I'm a threat ? Mind you I'm carrying a tiny Coach purse, like did she think I was gonna try to shove the $200 + worth of food we purchased in there?! ‍ I've never shopped here and been creeped out by staff. Neat shop to get unique cuts of meat not typically offered at your standard grocery store butcher counter. I got a solid aged ribeye, duck, lamb, and eyeballed the largest tomahawks I've ever seen, I'll be coming back for those one day! Stopped by for the BBQ demo event. The store was clean with lots of meat and seafood selection in the store. The staff was helpful for first time visitors on items they have available. One drawback in buying the products is that most of the items are frozen and will need time to defrost before cooking. read more

This place has a crazy variety of meats, different cuts, styles, you name it. Prices are pretty much on par with regular grocery stores, but just a heads up, the meat is frozen. Props to them for having good spices and making it a one-stop shop, especially if you want to put together a small charcuterie board or just whip up some pasta for dinner. They do have a small selection of fresh produce, or maybe it was frozen... honestly, I forgot! But for certain items, I think it's a bit overpriced. Pretty much all frozen foods, and some people may think "frozen food doesn't taste very good." But when you taste it cooked then , Wow! I predict that you will change your mind about that. Buy something here, cook it and then you'll see what I mean. Wide selection of meats, fowl, fish and more; some you'd have a hard time finding at other stores. I've been here several times. I kept seeing Wild Fork on my way home from my workouts and always assumed it was a restaurant--until some friends told us it's actually where they buy a lot of their meats. My husband and I finally stopped in, and we were definitely impressed! Prices are surprisingly comparable to Costco, which we didn't expect. They have a huge selection of meats, seafood, bratwurst, frozen veggies, fruits--you name it. Even A5 Japanese Wagyu! Everything is frozen, but honestly, if you know how to defrost and cook things properly, it's totally fine. We buy meats at Costco and freeze half of them anyway! I offered to make an iconic fish dish for a dinner party. The last time I made this dish, it was a fail because I didn't source the right kind of fish so this time I was determined to do so, while hoping it wasn't going to break the bank lol. I did a quick Google search and realized with some skepticism that Wild Fork just up the hill from me carried exactly what I needed and at such a great price. Even so, I went to the Sprouts next door first and only managed to find one package of said fish before I hit up Wild Fork for the first time ever. What I hadn't realized that it was mostly frozen proteins. Here I was picturing a $50/lb fish counter the previous times I've driven by but this place was amazing. It had so many times of fish and meats, all self-serve in frozen packets. They also sell seasonings and things on the side to go with the proteins you're picking up. The place was nice and bright, filled with frozen cases and wall units. I was kind of in a hurry and didn't get to explore too much but I'm going to make it a point to go back. The cashier basically was the only person working the floor. I didn't have to ask him for help but he seemed pretty helpful to others who walked in. My husband and I wandered in to take a look. We were wowed by their wares. They carry a variety of meat and seafood that you might not find in your local grocery store. They have bison, duck, elk, along with the typical beef, pork, and chicken. They also carry grass fed beef and pastured chicken. I saw different types of fish and shrimp from wild caught to farmed. Do yourself a favor and go browse their wares. You can order online for pickup if you're in a hurry but it's probably best to go in person to see what they have in stock. read more

Wild Fork it's a wonderland a frozen food. Everything you need to eat in any form have miles and miles of freezers out on the floor with delicious selections from me to fish to foul. Their prices. Are comparable to store. and if you join their program, you can have everything delivered to your door. Parking is wonderful. Huge lot store is always clean. People are very very nice in there to help if You're looking for something or if there's something special you want they do take food stamps if you do have them. I placed an online order to be picked up at this Laguna location on 11/8/24. I drove to pick up the order and was told they don't have it. Turns out the order was filled at the MV location and I was not notified. At this time I was completely frustrated because I had to drive from the Laguna store to the MV location to pick up the order. I was not given any reason why it had changed other than possibly because some of my items were not available at the laguna store so it had to be filled at the MV store. A little prior notice would have been appreciated here. I wasted my time and gas to go from one location to the other. There was no apologies nor compensation for my time and the error. I've bought various items from W.F. in the past year and every item was great. [I first purchased from them because they were the only store where I could find octopus.] The staff are always friendly and helpful to answer any questions. Yes, it's a store full of freezers so it takes getting used to for shopping but every item is "fresh" frozen. This week I bought smoked duck breasts and smoked duck legs confit to test taste for Thanksgiving instead of turkey. [I also took time to research the supplier: Culver Farms, and they appear to be a quality company.]. I carefully followed the cooking instructions and the results were incredibly delicious. Taste test triumphant over turkey! We will be serving duck breasts & duck confit legs for the Thanksgiving poultry main course. I expect our guests will be completely blown away! read more

We tried something new and purchased a frozen organic turkey breast from Wild Fork. It was excellent! We cooked it with breast side down for first 1.5 hours and turned over for remaining time until indicator popped up. We tucked some homemade chestnut stuffing in the tiny cavity and trussed it. It was juicy, perfectly done, plus lots of meat enough for multiple leftover dinners, a sandwich and a bunch of turkey salad. Likely one of the best ever for us, excellent flavor and not gamey.
