Lovely and speedy service, food was flavourful, I have the mixed trio platter, calm lunch ambiance, but can definitely get busy as it's near the touristy center/downtown. read more

Everything at this place was amazing! My husband and I ordered the Paasha shared platter for two, a hefty platter with just about everything on the menu and only $58. We eat a lot and couldn't finish it (it probably could have served 3-4). Awesome service, BYOB, easy parking, and everything was delicious. read more
A lovely choice for Turkish food, either dine in or takeaway. Looking for somewhere to eat with the whole family in tow on a Sunday can be difficult in Dunedin during the holiday period as most places were closed it was great to see Paasha open for business. They had space for a large group and were very accommodating for a baby and breast feeding mother. They have a variety of shish, doners and kebabs served with different sauces. I ordered the combined shish of lamb and chicken and can say that it was delicious. The chicken was seasoned just right and was succulent enough you could cut it easily with your fork. The lamb was a little tougher. It was served with a tabouleh, coleslaw, hummus and pita bread. Definitely a fulling meal. Everyone at the table was satisfied with their meal and the service. We don't normally go for desserts at lunch but because they make their own Turkish delight we took a few bags home with us to eat later. My mum's favourite place to get a Turkish delight. read more

Very average I'm afraid - the atmosphere was a bit like a kebab shop I used to go to in Watford in the 1980s... This was disappointing as we had booked a table for our daughter's 18th birthday and it didn't feel at all special. The food was average and although the hummus was very good, the other vegetarian options were uninspiring. We had the vegetarian platter which included some courgette fritters which were bland and stodgy. The salads were also really uninteresting and seemed to have been sitting around for a while. We didn't stay for pudding or anything else - we just wanted to leave as soon as possible! read more

Excellent Turkish cafe!! What a pleasant surprise on a side street. Well worth the stroll away from our tourist trekking. Very clean, excellent service, modern and chic. The food was super fresh and delicious!! Everything tasted homemade. Perfectly seasoned. On point on every front. read more

Best Turkish in town! Always came as a student and still just as good 5 years later. Staff are friendly and nice quiet atmosphere. read more

We were in Dunedin for only a day. Paasha was so good we ate there for lunch and dinner! We had the Combination Doner (chicken & lamb), Turkish Ice Cream, Baklava and Lamb Shish. My favorites were the Lamb Shish and Boysenberry Turkish Ice Cream but it was all VERY good. I want to go back to Dunedin just to eat at Paasha Turkish Cafe. read more

Amazing food. Super high quality, fresh, lots of vegetarian options. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Service can be slow, but they can also speed it up if you ask. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Dunedin. read more

Absolutely fantastic and deserving of all five stars. This is a casual, brightly colored restaurant with an overall cozy atmosphere. Our party of five art here on a busy Friday night - reservations highly recommended on weekend nights based on what I saw (we booked ahead). The first thing that stood out to me was the service. As someone used to a North American standard - where servers had better be good or risk a dwindling tip for every annoyance - I typically find kiwi waiters to be average. Not the case here. Lovely, polite young men who clearly explained the menu and were present just enough throughout the meal. And the food. Amazing! Fresh, flavorful, abundant and better than any other Turkish I've had in NZ. My BF and I shared the Paasha platter, which is a sampling of all their different types of donar and shish. In particular, the chicken shish was a standout for me. We had a vegetarian in our crew and he was quite happy with a veggie starter (most of them are veg friendly) and a plate of falafel. We could only make it about halfway through our shared platter and are looking forward to a lunch of leftovers. Highly recommended. I will be back. read more

Paasha is a must-visit whenever we're in Dunedin. Great food, especially the kebab special sauce. Good value for money.

Got into Dunedin midday and realized I need some dinner. Walked around a bit, and saw the good reviews for Paasha, so figured I'd give it a try. Food was incredible, good portions and perfect flavors. I had a combo of items and the salads included is a great touch. I'm her for a week, planning to get another meal or two in at Paasha! read more

We followed the advice of Lonely Planet & had a wonderful dinner! All was freshly prepared & simply delicious! We had a sampling of most of the lamb dishes between us- all were outstanding in complex flavor & spiced just right. I expected the house hummus to be the standard of most restaurants- but again was amazed. We ended up getting a large "take-away" of the hummus & pita & scrumptious felafel. We complimented the chef on our way out. Absolutely nothing negative about this experience! read more

Very good food and a nice menu selection. I bumped it down to 4 starts due to slightly overcooked lamb. But the lamb was first quality and that helped save the meal. read more

Excellent food, the salad was fresh and the meat was very tender. Would love to go again, however on the pricey side of things Turkish. I do recommend to have a try! read more

The other 5* rating have got it spot on. Our starters soup & agnolotti were very tasty. Mains of Beef short rib & Venison were frankly the best we have tasted ever! Creme brulee was silky smooth & the elderflower jelly was packed with berry flavour. We will be back! Well done Muzza! Oh & PS. You must book, we have regretted not booking on more than one occation read more

Excellent food. They seem to close mid-afternoon and reopen for dinner. When we visited on a Sunday evening, they'd already stopped seating at 9, so may not work for late night eating. read more

I love Paasha! Especially the platters for two or three people. Although it is actually reasonably expensive for kebabs / Turkish food, it is well worth it! I really love their freshly made hummus too. Staff are always friendly. A good place to take out food from, as well as take any kinds of people. You can pop in with people that don't really like dining out or with foodies used to expensive meals. The BYO option is great too! read more

Terrific food, great value for the money. Somewhat limited selection but really excellent kebabs, and the sides were awesome as well. It was VERY packed, and catching the server's attention was a bit of a challenge. Had a very uptempo vibe with lots of young adults in there. Not a place for a quiet meal, but really super tasty cuisine. read more

Paasha used to be my favorite turkish restaurant in dunedin, even the south island, the hummus is excellent, but the last 2 times I have been in to get a take-away pita, I have been disappointed. The falafel was dry and rubbery, too much sauce to cover the blatant lack of hummus....and the meat was also cold.....not impressed at all. for $15 +tips I would expect a higher quality product. I will go back once more and see if theres any improvement ... read more
