My entire life I used the most prominent name in insurance for all my/our needs---auto, home, etc…read more As their premiums rose, I became concerned. Every time I saw their inundation of tv ads...Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, naming rights for our local arena, etc...it led me to research what they spend annually...more than $1 billion. Why? I became unhappy I was subsidizing this seeming overspend. Looked locally when another increase came my way. There they were/are...local...customer-focused and at a reduced rate with some additional coverage for home, car rental, etc. Was somewhat familiar with our eventual choice...Auto Owners and now a year later have found Harrington to be a very smart choice at every metric. Comforted by knowing what to expect from them, the service they provide. Not many may sing the praises of their insurance quest...but I certainly will.

They dont like immigrants/accent…read more.. I called them up for a homeowners quote on 4/11/2019. The lady who initially took the call was very POLITE. I was told that a male agent (can't recall his name anymore) will call me back soon. In few minutes sure enough an older guy called me back. After a few sentence it was obvious to me that he is an old seasoned pro, doing this job forever. VERY EXPERIENCED!!!. He took the needed information. He did not say anything unprofessional but it was CLEAR that there is some subtle dislike towards me. I did not object on it., I did let it go.... He asked me if I own my house?...I told him I did...."Are you sure?".....I said I know that I own it....."Is it paid off?"...."Yes Sir, it is. It is free and clear".... "Hmmm" he said. It was pretty weird. Many people have paid off houses. At that point I knew that something set him off. Agents wanting your business will say something like this: " I will call you back with a quote in few hours". Or something along those lines. Not him! He said: "I know your email, I will email you IF I can help you".....I was 110% sure that I wont hear from him again. Sure enough there was no news from him. I am an immigrant living in the States for 20+ years. I own 2 houses. My credit is 840. I never filed an insurance claim in my life. I have a pretty good command of English. SO ANY INSURANCE COMPANY/BROKER SHOULD BE ABLE TO PROVIDE ME A QUOTE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. CONCLUSION: the "gentleman" disliked my accent more than he liked the easy money he could have made offering me a policy. I reached out to them 3x via their website asking what happened. Trying to find out why he never gave me a quote. The 3rd time I voiced the suspicion ( remained well mannered) that the old guy has discriminated against me bc I am an immigrant. They never got back to me to discuss the matter. NOT ONCE! I did let them know that I will write a review. They ignored it, no calls or email response from them. I HOPE THIS REVIEW WILL HELP SOMEONE IN THE FUTURE . IF YOU HAVE AN ACCENT PERHAPS IT IS WISE TO TAKE YOUR BUSINESS SOMEWHERE WHERE IT IS WANTED.

The worst business; ever! Since this office represents the company, I think I can say this for all…read moreof Allstate as a whole. I first switched my car insurance and then my home to them. There is a young lady in the office who is very helpful. I remember that she went through great lengths to reach me...but that was in establishing my business. Now that they have it (had it), I've had nothing but problems. Here are some of the problems I encountered. 1) No communication from them except a letter in the mail After the fact stating a change in my policy. 2) A notice from the bank saying that I do not have enough coverage in the policy. 3) A notice saying my policy was canceled. I called to investigate and it was an accident. 4) I was promised a callback but that call back never came. 5) I called today and they answered the phone, but did not know who I was because I changed my phone number. As soon as the rep updated my record with my number phone her cpu magically went offline and she needed to reboot. And of course, she wanted to call me back 5 minutes later. Guess what, that never happened. I could hear what sounded like road background noise so I think she was in the car driving to the office but pretending to be in front of the cpu. Quick Backstory: When I walked in the office for the first time, the "Allstate" sign was literally scotch-taped to the wall. This is my fault. I should have known better to do business with someone who doesn't value their signage enough to tape it to the wall. Do you not think people will notice that? This is representation of you. How in the world would you represent me!?! Now I know. You scotch tape your policies too. Don't call me back. I'm calling out to whoever is reading this review. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Update: There are way too many disconnects with this company. I called the bank and have proof that payment in full was made but Allstate made a mistake and wanted to charge more money for the same policy after sending the full invoice. What can of flip is that? Then they sent me the bill instead of the bank. They were trying to extort money from me. The bank had no records of another bill due. Why would a company send an invoice for the full amount and then turn around and send another bill for the same service after payment was made? The 2nd invoice for charges not assessed. No, you eat that. Better yet, get it right the first time. That's such bad business. The rabbit hole goes deeper but I don't care to explain. So I called her back about an hour later. "Oh, I was just about to call you," she said. She allowed me to vent. I informed her that I wrote a review. She kept saying, "That's not our office, that's Allstate." What are you talking about? You are Allstate. I called Allstate. Your sign outside says Allstate. Your sign taped to the wall says Allstate. You answered the phone saying Allstate. Smh, you just don't get it. She laughed about the sign taped to the wall. So it's still there a year later, smh. She blamed the owner for that. You are not vested, this is just a job for you so we cannot have the same conversation. At the end, she apologized. Thank you. Goodbye.
