It was such a great experience from the hospitable hosts to the complimentary drinks and popcorn to the cozy seating in their little theatre room. It for sure is a cute location to stroll around, catch a movie and get some ice cream or coffee at one of the nearby shops. We really enjoyed the movie and without the audio effects from the theatre we would've never had the experience we did. Loved how cute and quaint it was and that they have the option to rent the rooms for your next special event and do your own screenings. Pretty epic

We have visited this theater several times and found the food and service good. However, both of…read morethese times the theater was mostly empty with 6 or 8 guests so it was pretty easy to get good service. Tonight the theater was almost full, and the service was terrible. The staff had no idea what was going on or how to serve a large crowd. It was complete chaos in the theater, and no one had any idea what order the guests had arrived in. After sitting for 30 minutes with no acknowledge from the staff while we witnessed 15 others who arrived after us being given menus, then drinks, and some already receiving their dinner orders, we decided to leave. The manager was contacted to refund our ticket price. He agreed but seemed unconcerned about what was going on upstairs in the theater. Cannot recommend Gilson's unless you can find a time when no one else is visiting.
