The two floor museum building is a bit overwhelming...if you are a neat freak, you might want to run. If you are a hoarder, you will love it. The first floor is cramped with a low ceiling, but the second floor is more open and less cluttered. There are items neatly organized in glass cases and protective covers, but it is everywhere from the ceiling down to the floor. Hard to take it all in, but it is an impressive collection. It is truly unbelievable that one person could gather and organize so many collectables from lunch boxes and figurines to stuffed animals and glassware. If you have never been, it is a fun place to kill an hours time and reminisce about when life was simple.

The owners are very knowledgeable and even on their by-appointment days, if you call ahead with a specific need, they'll make sure to help you with your request. I am not allowing myself to buy too much else or I'd spend far too much time in the other side of the shop--if you're looking for one-of-a-kind items for your house or refinished/renewed furniture, though, that's something to definitely check out.

I saw a few interesting things at the store, there's artisan soaps but they are scented with artificial fragrances not essential oils, you can tell by the smell, that was a turn off for me. In summary, the experience wasn't good, so I will not visit again.

THE POSITIVES: Artwork- Every time I visit which is about 2-4 times a year I always purchase something. These artists are very talented! Charity work- They recently hosted a masquerade ball auctioning off masks that people had made. I totally would have bought one! Price- Since they are local artists, the work is not going to be very expensive Fun- It is just so much fun looking at all of the artwork! Some pieces are quite fascinating actually. Staff- They are mostly volunteers and they are just the sweetest people ever! I feel so bad that they sit in the gallery but not many people visit I presume on a regular basis...:( Overall if you want an interesting piece of art or just want to browse this is the place to go! -Kim :)
