Worst contractor I've had in 35 years of home ownership! Took 2 months to complete only half of my 2-day (Sat. / Sun.) job at my vacant condo before I moved in. He provided a bid when I entered my LVP and tile flooring jobs into Home Advisor and I liked his bid and he talked the talk. He won me over into hiring him for my jobs with enthusiasm and his 15 years experience + said his lead flooring installer had 35 years experience but instead, Nicholas Palm, owner of P&V Handyman Services, LLC is only a 20-year old who supposedly watched Daddy work at the age of 5, thus his 15 years experience, and his lead flooring expert is Dad who has a full time job elsewhere and showed up 2 evenings to work a couple of hrs., not do the bulk of the job. Nic hired inexperienced teens to "train" on my job rather than using his dad as he had told me upon signing the contract. He became belligerent and disrespectful as he showed up in the evenings and dragged the job out evening after evening, much to the irritation of other unit owners in my condo building. He didn't stagger the LVP, having rows line up within a couple inches of the one next to it. Extremely disorganized, he didn't protect my brand new carpet and was careless with my freshly painted walls and defaced a bathtub when he put a toilet in it. There were only 2 paints in my basement, but he attempted to touch up drywall damage with the wrong color, not the one that was labeled for the whole house. He said he would replace 2 planks of my 20+ year old kitchen floor that had a blemish in it with 2 extra that were in the basement, then sawed carelessly into those planks ruining a third plank. He and Dad pretended a month later they had found this exact flooring in Montana and had it shipped to Lumber Liquidators in West Allis but the store sold it out from under them. When I spoke to the store manager it was clear I had been lied to again as he had never hear of Nicholas Palm or Bryan Palm, or finding old flooring in Montana. Three months later I have not found anyone who can repair my kitchen floor with the 2 extra planks, stating the whole floor needs to be replaced from one side to the other, to the tune of $3500! Meanwhile my kitchen floor has an eyesore we trip over. Nicholas has 13 cases against him on C-Cap in 2019 alone. What a nightmare my place is - caused by an unethical, broke 20-year old contractor impostor pretending to be a knowledgeable experienced contractor. read more
