They marinade all kinds of meat for different meals and they all look incredible. I always tell people about it here because the staff are so friendly and helpful! The first time I went I was spoilt for choice and couldn't quite decide and a really friendly guy helped me out and asked what the occasion was, what kinds of things I like and told me to get the lemon and garlic chicken it was divine! I also have tried the salt and pepper ribs and minted lamb shank all absolutely incredible. The reason I chose today to write a review is the pork pies are meant to be incredible so I ordered my dad a large pork pie saying no1 dad on it, fab gift and not pricey! Definitely worth a try!

Clarke's have a really good selection of meat wehther you like it sliced, diced, chucked, minced, casseroled, braised and the prices are not silly. The pork, beek and lamb I have bought from there has all been from Wales. The mince meat I had looked low in fat. Lamb is always my favourite. If you are not a great cook, its very hard to go wrong with a pre prepared lamb kebab on the skewer with different coloured peppers. Their home made beef burgers are just 70p each. They are more than happy to give you the meaty facts if you want to go in and ask about what you are buying. Bon appetite.

My dad told me pay a visit to this butchers after buying a piece of machinery from them for our bakery and then finding out how much AWARD WINNING produce they have! I got told to get the award winning bacon and Cumberland Sausages. So, in we walk and I have never seen so many award winning signs in my life! What to choose??? Let's start with the Cumberland sausages - two kinds, both please! And then to the choice of bacon, well, how do people choose?? We opted for the black treacle cured back bacon (award winning obviously) and Adam Y chose the oak smoked back bacon. All the bacon was boasting not to leave that nasty white stuff in your pan. While we were here we picked up some award winning pies too. Pork Pie, Peppered Steak Pie and Chicken Pie. All of which looked perfect (coming from a baker, that's a HUGE compliment) and i am told they tasted just as good! The service we received whilst in the shop was second to none. Enough said. There is ample parking as you would expect. The meat is local sourced and of an outstanding quality, I can't believe I used to waste my hard earned money on cheap supermarket meat, the difference in taste is all too obvious. The veg is also local sourced and surprisingly cheap, the veg will stay fresh for much longer than supermarket bought produce. The shop also sells local bread, orangic squash, chilli jam, chilli sauce, eggs, preserves and other organic produce. The Staff are cheerful and are always happy to help.
