The front of the Burger Bar was illuminated in big red bold letters and the giant wedge fries were proudly positioned in the window for customers to salivate over. We pondered the wall menu for a bit then ordered the Classic Burger with fries and a soft drink combo. The chef tossed a big beef patty onto the flat grill and waited at a wooden table out front impatiantly about fifteen minutes. OMG, it was big, juicy and spiced perfectly with bacon and caramelized onions (see pic). The oversized seasoned fries went well with the burger. I'm hoping that every burger joint in Amsterdam will be as tasty as this great find today.

It's a fairly small and unassuming sushi stop, but there's enough seats inside for 2-3 couples and even if you're just there waiting for your takeaway, the happy smiley man behind the counter pours you hot tea! On our visit, we ordered a tuna and salmon poke-bowl, again it's small but completely loaded (as you'll note from my pictures) and we only just managed to squeeze in the extra gyoza because my partner in crime and I are super greedy! Bit of course everything we ate was super fresh and very tasty... it's probably how we managed to finish it all. Waste not want not right? Ha! And I'm not sure how long they've been open but from both Google reviews and Facebook reviews, this place seems to be popular with the locals. The inside has plenty of seating and from our experience, is also dog friendly, too! Overall, some of the best McDonalds available. They also have a seperate entrance and entire room - for just takeaway. What's not to like about that?! THere is a water closet (toilet downstairs in the basement) also known as -1 floor here in The Netherlands. The food is McDonalds. The same as everywhere else. Of course, it's in a fabulous part of town in Amsterdam. Not a touristy area, but tourists have been spotted here in the past. ;). I amongst them!
