I do not recommend Winsett Barns. He presents himself as a contractor but subs all the work out…read more if there is an issue, he tells you to work it out with the sub contractor. .The subs try to hide issues or don't mention anything unless you see it and say something. I asked Winsett several times to come out and look at the issues and he would never show. I had to redo things his subcontractor messed up like the doors weren't installed correctly. I had to take out and redo them and shim properly. The windows aren't completely square so they are hard to open. I did not catch that until I moved in and tried opening the windows. Also the concrete was poured after the building was built. The garage, house and porches cracked almost immediately. Asked him to come out and look at it several times and did not show up. Asked for him to make it right and I am still waiting. if your a contractor or in this case a general subbing the work out, you should be making sure the subs are doing their job correctly and not covering the mistakes up and also addressing the concerns of the customer. Not making the customer deal with the subs themselves. If you are getting paid, wouldn't you want to be there to make sure everyone is doing. their job correctly? I mean, isn't that the reason the customer is paying you? Otherwise you are getting money for pretty much doing nothing at all. This is the second place I've left a review as the first place i left a review it was deleted.

Winston was super easy to work with. One can communicate with WinWood using text or by phone, which is awesome. So many folks in this field don't want to leave a digital paper trail they refuse to communicate via any means other than phoning. That tells WinWood's story: WInWood is transparent, they practice great communication, are easy to work with, and they are proud of their work. They are not afraid to be held accountable to the agreements they make, this is sadly super rare. The price was more than reasonable. I'd rather not but I'd pay a premium for such great treatment. The work they do is great but the interaction and the way they treat customers is the secret sauce that so many others know of and are unwilling to use. This place is great, I recommend them to anyone who wants great work for a reasonable price and wants to deal with someone who acts professionally and treats customers professionally. I will be hitting up WinWood for every project I have come up and make them tell me they can't or don't do X or Y before I look elsewhere and I will ask WinWood where to go.
