I had a seam bust on the side of one of my work boots and took it to Ozarks Leathersmith on a Friday afternoon. He offered to fix it while I waited, but I decided to leave them and came back first thing Saturday morning. The repair was excellent--honestly looked like it had never been torn in the first place. On top of that, the price was more than fair at just $25. Fast turnaround, quality work, and great value. I'll definitely be back for any future repairs. read more

Established in 1975.

The Leathersmith Here at the Ozarks Leathersmith I use old world craftsmanship combined with skills and knowledge I have developed for over 56 years. My two main interests and skills are Leatherwork and sewing. At an early age I realized I had been given a gift to develop, and that there was a tree of knowledge. Focusing on these two skills I climbed that tree until I came to a branch that was relevant. I went to that branch and learned everything I could. Then went back to the main trunk of the tree and practiced. Onward to the next branch always focusing on my two main interests, leatherwork and sewing. I am still climbing the tree..........

I saw this store on Ebay first, and check out their site. Made my order of over $80. I left a…read moremessage on order asking for smaller pieces and thinner due to the weight and order size. Well, they did not even bother to read and stuff 4 large thick pieces in a box, not wrapped with plastic to avoid water or extra tape around the ends of the box. It was raining in CA and the box tore on the ends....some leather got dragged on the ground. I then had to pull out my skiving knife and spent a good amount of time to cut them into smaller pieces just to move them around. Overall, they were decent on shipping time and got what I ordered, but their service is very poor. Both in communication and packaging.

Ozarks leather smith in Missouri is top notch. His work is superb. He makes sure and asks many questions about your exact needs. He shows you pictures and lets you know before he makes a design decision. I don't see anywhere to add pics or I would. I highly recommend , A great guy to deal with..
