Very nice quaint campground we came upon this place by accident after our usual stop was booked. The owner Lori was super nice and very helpful from getting us registered to leading us to the perfect position on our spot. Had a beautiful little walkway around a pond with a fountain, bridges, lights and littles walkways off to the side. Even a little Teepee. The grounds were clean and well groomed. Can't comment on the laundromat or bathrooms since we didn't use that area. We will definitely return next year. read more

We stayed for 3 nights for a mini Mother's Day weekend vacation. We were offered an upgrade on the spot the website had originally given us because we were staying for more than 1 night. I believe we got the best tent site they offered. It was further back from the road and more part of the rest of the park area and it was very well shaded most of the day. I loved the camp sink with running water. I wish more places (KOA's too) did that. Being a tent camper, that amenity was probably my favorite, above all. The bathrooms were wonderful. Clean and fresh smelling every time I used either one. I didn't use the laundry room but it looked tidy and clean as well. The kids enjoyed the pool and grounds. I know the owner said people complain about the ants and bugs. They must not be real campers. Ants probably lived there 1000 years before you decided to moore up in your $400000 land yacht. The bugs weren't a big deal and I wouldn't blame the KOA if they were. Keep your gear clean , be vigilant, and you will do fine. I know KOA can't choose their neighbors, either. Although I'm sure the guy on the other side of the fence was a real stand up guy, you would never know it from him blaring his music at 0630 on a Saturday, hawking loogies, working on his super sweet dodge caravan, or yelling "HEY" followed by a trail of obscenities to his dog/cat/squirrel/bird/momma/whatever. Now for the real (but not real enough to garner less than 4 stars) issues. I nearly killed myself a dozen times by tripping over roots or small stumps on our site. I caught myself doing a header into my camp stove and doing the Alabama fire dance around the fire ring (and I don't drink that much) because of catching a toe on one. Every person in our party tripped over 3 or 4 of them on multiple occasions, just in our site. The staff were friendly. For the most part. Maybe even overly nice. When we checked in, I just wanted to get to our site and set up. Instead I got a 30 minute oratory description on the ants and map and pool. It's outdoors- there's bugs. Your park isn't that big-I can see everything from this spot... including the pool. The other side of that coin was when I took the kids to the office to buy them ice cream. The woman who was working seemed really put off that I came in because it interrupted her sweeping. She was a little short but then became so flustered, she couldn't count my change back to me. But they sell cedar firewood, so there's that. I would stay there again, but I probably won't because we like to go to different places all over. read more

Wow! Although close to a busy road, it's surprisingly quiet. Facilities and grounds are clean and well kept. You can tell the owner and staff really care. They were extremely helpful getting us settled in and even suggested an awesome place for dinner. We will definitely detour to stay here our next trip South! read more

Stayed overnight, park is clean but rudimentary. Park is tight in several areas. We could not use satellite due to all the trees around our spot. Sites are very narrow. The picnic table was at the neighbors sewer line. Staff was very friendly courteous and helpful. read more

Thought the park was perfect at first...then realized it was still under construction. Heavy machinery coming near my RV and vehicles is kinda scary since the "contract" you sign when moving in states "they aren't liable for damages". Then it got really bad, I go to pay rent on the due date and the employee working "ken" didn't know how much my rent was. Figured out that mess and thought we were all back on the same page. Woke up next morning, go to the bank and see that they ran my credit card for $19.08. I again waste my time going to the office in hopes it will be an easy fix. NO it wasn't, they didn't know anything about it. Had to print off my bank statement and take my receipts up there to proof what I was saying. Finally they got on the ball and refunded my money, at this point I decided I was done staying here. Gave my months notice and walked out of the office assuming everything was okay for the remaining 20 days I was going to be here. Two days later the owner "Bill" came to my RV intoxicated armed with a megaphone and a flashlight. He order me outside, I didn't open my door as I could tell he was drunk when he fell out of his golf cart and was slurring his words. He then got angry that I wouldn't go outside and he used his flashlight to cause major damage to the exterior of my RV. I called the local authorities because I feared for the safety of spouse and I. Before the cops could arrive he threatened to taser my spouse. He refused to give us a refund that night, cops made him settle down and I had high hopes I could continue to stay for the remainder of the time I paid for. Not a chance, the next day we come home, as we get out of our vehicle he hops on his golf and heads our way. We scrambled to the safety of our RV once again. This time I called 911 immediately. Ozark police and Dale county Sheriff responded lights and sirens and was able to persuade him to give us a full refund. We moved out of there that day! 1. Don't stay here 2. If you do, get everything in writing and don't pay with you credit card; they keep your card number on file. 3. Have your RV fully insured and set up video cameras. 4. Please protect yourself. I stayed at this KOA for over a year, the owner is rude, inconsiderate and down right mean. After paying lot rent on time and in full for 13 months upon check out she still found a way to nickel and dime me. The laundry facilities were disgusting and cost almost $10 a load. The wifi never worked for me either. The only good thing I have to say about this place is it is close to Fort Rucker and convenient to Dothan. Two Thumbs down. The one star review that is posted is quite a bit off base. Me and my family have been full-time at this park for over one year. It is hands-down the nicest park in the area and has the most amenities. In my experience, if you have a problem with the owners it is probably because you were not very considerate. If you treat the owners with respect they will treat you with respect. The owners keep a pretty tight run of the park. And they want to make it great for all of their campers. The security in this park is great. If you try to drive past the office and they don't notice your vehicle they will come and find you. Which is great security for all of the campers. I don't use the Wi-Fi because we have our own but my oldest daughter does and she doesn't have a problem with it. When the park fills up she complains that it goes a little slower but that is to be expected. As far as a laundry facility being dirty or disgusting. That is an all out lie. Me and my family have an onboard wash machine and we don't normally use the laundry facility. However in the past month our washer broke and while I was fixing it we used their facility. The Facility was always spotless. The one time that I dirtied it up with some dirt off of my pants it was cleaned up before the next time we walked in there. The laundry and showers get cleaned probably twice a day. As far as it being $10 a load that is another lie. It is $2.50 for a load of wash. I don't know how much it cost to dry because we used our onboard dryer. If you are close to the highway you will get some highway noise and pretty much everybody in the part gets the noise of the train if it comes by. Some amenities that it has that other parks in the area don't is the pool, game room, playground, a kitchen, a dog park, horseshoes, a fishing pond, an emergency underground bunker (in case of tornadoes), and A small shop for RV necessities and snacks. One of the features that I love about being a long-term here is that if I run out of propane I just put my propane tank by the road to pick them up, fill them ,and charge my account. read more

I moved here after being at another RV park that was more expensive with no amenities. This is a small campground with a very parklike feel. The owners have been extremely compassionate, offering to help me pack up my things as I get ready to move a bigger rig in. The neighbors (other long term RV'ers) are all friendly stopping to say hello and where are you from....We recently had a tornado touch down a few miles away and I was grateful for their tornado shelter even if I was the only one down there. Better safe than sorry. Ozark has more to offer than people think, I don't mind being off the beaten track. read more

Wow, I would like to truly express my true feelings and my experience with the KOA Campground and RV park in Ozark Alabama. The name is KOA Campground Ozark- Fort Rucker. Here is my story but first let me say that there are truly two side of every story and I not asking you to believe what I am saying. Please check it out for yourself and what I'm about to tell in my review of the KOA Campground in Ozark Alabama is the Gods holy truth. Please check it out yourself and write your own review. 1) Beware! If you use a Credit card or Debit card the owner has a program on her computer that automatically stores your cards information. Yes The card number, Exp. Date, the CVV number and the zip code for your card billing. I paid for my stay in cash because I had read other reviews. Well I slipped up and purchase propane with my credit card and low and behold on the first of the month I went to the office to pay for another month or rent and when I walked in to pay I was told that they ran my credit card. This was not supposed to happen I did NOT authorize them ever to run my credit card. But they did. So at that point I left the office not saying anything other than that I didn't allow them to run my credit card and warned them not to do it again and to remove my credit card information out of their system. As I get back to my RV I called my card holder and cancelled my card and had a new card issued. 2) Not one but two different employees approached me trying to sale me Drugs and did I know of any females that liked ICE meaning Crystal methamphetamines, I laughed and said no I don't but if I found any I would send them to them. From that point on I carried my sidearm everywhere I went on the property. Since they had ran our credit card for another month and from the past reviews I read I knew we would have a hard time getting a refund so we stuck it out for the rest of the month. While waiting for our month to end we found a very nice place to move too. 3) Three days before the end of the month the owner came beating on the door of our RV putting dents in the door with her fist, I got up from my dinner and ran to the door and opened it and the owner with the employee whom offered me drugs, I said can I help you and she said I want you off my property by the first of the month. I asked her what the problem was and she said you cancelled your card and I want you gone. At that point I told her that we were leaving before the first anyway and she stormed off saying for us to get the hell off her property now. I just closed the door and locked it We left the following morning. 4) Three of her employee told me that you just got to over look her that she has a major pain pill problem. This is only the beginning of some of the issue we had. We keep to ourselves the whole time we were there. But if we were outside employees would come to us and make comments about others that were staying there or complain about the owner. I'm not asking you to believe me if you don't stop in and check it out for yourself. I've only wrote a few reviews in my life and have never written a review with less than three stars. I give the KOA Campground a negative 5 star rating. read more

An acceptable campground mid-way between Nashville and Central Florida. 50 A pull thrus available and generally flat. Don't have much to say about the facilities since we only used it for an overnighter. People were very friendly but the campground is in the middle of nowhere. 25 miles to the nearest ice cream shop!!! (But it was good - check out Milky Moos in Enterprise, AL.) If heading south, there is a nice Flying J with RV spots about 23 miles south in Dothan, AL. read more

The campground was very clean/ nice. The pads were concrete/ level. The owner was so nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this for short of long term stays. Convenient to food and grocery stores as well. read more

I've stayed here on several occasions driving from central Florida to Missouri. It's very well kept. The office gal on our visit this past week (Aug 2016) was very friendly and helpful. It's a little on the pricey side but then all KOA's have become that way. It's still worth it to me to feel safe in a nicer park. read more

I'm not sure what happened in the recent reviews but we were here for one of those days and didn't see or hear anyone being drunk or loud. Our experience here was nothing but great (and I'm NOT a paid person or employee). To start with it had been raining quite a bit and our original spot was really soggy, (not get stuck soggy but would be a mess in camper soggy) they immediately bumped us up to a spot with a concrete pad, I was also having an issue with my truck (universal joints were going out), I went to one of the brand name tire places and was told that I'd have to take it to their store in Dothan (30 miles) to get it repaired because they could t do it at the local shop (?) and they weren't sure they could get it fixed in time for me to leave as expected, the gentleman working the store gave me a business card for Roys Tire Store and when I called he said to bring it in this morning and he'd make sure it got done that day and also gave me a ride back to the KOA and they brought my truck to me when it was finished and charged me a very fair price. The gentleman working this morning came over and told me that if I needed to go anywhere or get anything just let him know and he'd be more than happy to take me at no charge. You just can't find that kind of service and care today. We've added this place to our favorites and will happily stay here on any trip we take that brings us this way. Thank you to all the staff, you're a reminder of what people used to/still can be like in this downward spiraling world. read more

This place is a circus show. One owner is a drunk and the other is so high on pain pills she doesn't know her left from right. After over charging my card on file, and us disputing the charges in the office, the owner had his employees call and harass me countless times insisting that my spouse and I come to the office immediately. The following night the owner, Bill, came to my camper and beat the hell out of it while blowing his bull horn through our window. He then threatened to drag me out of my camper and taze me, of which he said he was the marshall there and had full authority to do. I called the police and filed a report. The following day he put on the same show and again I had the police come and assist me in getting a refund for the remaining time I had paid for. We then packed and got the heck out of dodge. We are an easy going couple who enjoy staying to ourselves and we did nothing against this place. What was bestowed upon us was unprofessional, illegal, and was down right disrespectful. They use a company to write positive reviews so don't let them fool you like they did us. If you want peace of mind, use anyone but them. read more
