BEWARE OF Innovative Renovations and handyman services LLC!…read more It's so disheartening to leave a review like this, especially after the New year. The experience hiring this contractor Marshall Hall to do a shower renovation has been nothing short of a nightmare. We had a shower failure in the rental house that this contractor worked on which is several states away from my current residence. At the beginning of this entire process there were no significant signs this was going eventually turn into nothing but a stressful ongoing headache. At the beginning Marshall was staying in touch and sending pictures of the progress of the shower remodel. All was well! After completing the remodel things started going south. I kept getting texts from the residents that the shower grout was coming out. Marshall stated he was not sure how that happened and claims he went back and put new grout in. Issue resolved? No, at this point I get more texts from the residents stating the grout is still coming out. After reaching out with several texts and phone calls, days go by and zero response from Marshall. The issue now and this entire time has been my residents occupy four rooms and have had no master bathroom shower to use for weeks now. Finally, I decided to let this contractor know that I was going to have to start contacting some of the state agencies. After the text was sent, I receive a swift response from Marshall stating that his phone fell off the ladder and broke his phone. Unfortunately, that doesn't coincide with the one text I received from his phone after this supposedly happened. He went on to say that the residents were intentionally digging the grout out because there is no other way it could have come out. From the residents we get a story of the complete opposite. After speaking with several other qualified contractors my understanding is the grout has to dry for several days before being with any contact from water. How can someone that does this for a living not know this?? Marshall stated this was not the case as he has done several showers and never has any issue with the grout coming out. During this time frame we also receive pictures from the residents showing the tile trim work wasn't completed as promised, as if another curveball needed to be added to the equation at this point. Also, wall tile was used on the shower floor and is not what I requested. I asked him specifically if this would be prone to cracking and he said no. As shown in the pic below now the floor tile is now cracking. If floor tile would have been done as requested this wouldn't have happened. After a back-and-forth Marshall agreed to send a tile contractor back out to do the work. Several days have gone by and once again no response at all. At this point I can't even keep up with how many weeks the residents have been without a shower. I have even offered to pay for this to get finished and take the hit. Still crickets.. Once again, several days later another request to fix the grout and the tile was sent out and the now the response was: {Marshall has been in an accident and is in the hospital}{Marshall has suffered traumatic brain injury and broken bones and I had to shut the company down}. Yet on Marshalls company site it shows him starting another job and sending out greetings the same time as he was supposedly in the hospital. Maybe Marshall has a mysterious doppelganger running around while he is "unconscious". After years of dealing with contractors like this I think I have heard every juvenile excuse in the book. My phone wasn't working, a flat tire, someone in the hospital, car accidents, got shot, hit by an animal, someone was sick, you name it I've heard it. In addition to all this Marshalls wife has posted fake 5 star reviews on multiple websites to embellish his company. The other one sentence 5 star reviews were all done the same month. What a coincidence. With the next steps we hope to bring closure to this which is what we are seeking. At this point we are waiting to hear back from the state attorney general's office and are in the process of contacting law firms to advise on the next steps to deal with this. Will be updating with photos soon.

Let me start by saying I am picky, a perfectionist, and cheap!!! And a DIY-er when possible. I had…read morea 30 square low slope residential, asphalt shingle tear off and re-roof job due to hail. I got hosed by the insurance company because it was a rental property so they took off depreciation. Needless to say but those "Professional" companies coming by with their fancy trucks were way out of my price range. Ridiculously so in hindsight. I must have gotten 10 bids on it. Then one day a young man drove up, shook my hand, looked me in the eye and said his name was Rigo. That's Rigo with a G. He walked around and looked at the roof for about 5 minutes. Then he told me the size of the job and was spot on. Didn't even go on top of the roof. Most other guys spent 20 minutes up there with their tape measures out calculating the size. Careful here, this in an area where some on the more unscrupulous people will try to gouge you a bit. There is an industry standard for 10% waste, but some of these guys were 15-20% over. There are some new Arial Roofing estimators out there, I highly recommend one($20-$30). Then he told me his price. I swear I started to look for q-tips because I thought there was something stuck in my ears. I became a little suspicious because the price was so good the quality must suspect but figured I was going to be here to monitor the work and under the circumstances with the insurance company I decided to to go with him. And there was something about him. After the job was done: THE ROOF LOOKS GREAT, COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!!! When I was driving home I was doing fist pumps in my car. He's licensed, fully insured, and an absolute pleasure to work with. He and his crew were polite, fast and very efficient. They got the job done in a little over a day, and that's winter hours with a late start. They had there own trailer, cleaned up and hauled everything off like they were never there. And not only does the roof look GREAT, but he also gives you a 5 year labor guarantee. However, the most impressive thing was the they fixed some areas that I didn't even ask them to. Of course the fixed the areas that reveal themselves after the tear-off and they should, and of course I paid for those unplanned materials, but he went so far as to add some flashing that had been originally left off by the previous owner, he repaired part of the soffit just because it needed it and at no extra cost. You could just tell he and his crew took pride in their work and I really, really appreciated it. 10 stars, if they had 20 I'd give 'em that! Great job, great price, great crew, great experience!!!
