I am tired of crappy people. I paid over $5,000 for my daughter's braces. It's done. It's…read morecompleted. I am happy my family no longer has to deal with this business. Appointments always brought dread and anxiety for my daughter. The personalities and attitudes of these people should not be tolerated which includes the younger Benson. There may be a few exceptions to a few employees, but overall my family received rude, derogatory, pompous attitude. I truly hope this business loses business . . . because they truly do not deserve it.

I hate dentists. When I found out that I needed some dental work done, I asked them to just knock…read moreme out for it. While they couldn't knock me out, the doctors at Snodgrass-King did everything they could to make me comfortable, and it turned out to be an awesome experience! I was given medicine to help me relax the night before and morning of the appointment, given nitrous to help me (feel loopy) relax more. Kathryn and Dr. Claire had me good and numb when she gave me the shot to numb my tooth, and had a jazzy little technique where she shook my lip back and forth to distract from the feeling of the shot, which totally worked. They made the suggestion that I wear headphones during my procedure, which I did, and I didn't feel a thing. Dr. Claire was thorough and patient and understanding, and did an outstanding job. I didn't have to sit in the waiting room for an hour, I was there about three minutes before I got called back and they got started immediately. I also had a cleaning, and Amber was the best hygienist I have ever had. Again, very professional. thorough, and very gentle on my teeth (seeing as how feeling those metal picks scraping my teeth makes me want to claw the covering off the arm rests, this was a good thing). Snodgrass-King gets a lot of flack for taking children back without their parents. I took my then 7 year old daughter there for a filling she needed, and she went back no problems. I will admit that I felt a bit of anxiety (ME, not HER) letting my precious baby go back without me, but I retired to the adults only area and enjoyed the coffee bar and big comfy couches while she had her work done. When she came out, I expected her to come to me in tears telling me how terrible it was. Instead, I got a half smiling (one side of her mouth was still completely numb) and happy kid who had absolutely no fear of the dentist. I have come the conclusion that us over-protective parents going back with the kids gives them the impression that there is something that they SHOULD be afraid of, which is probably wahat has led to my distaste for the dentist chair. This was a FANTASTIC experience and I have already scheduled my next appointment to have the one other tooth worked on that I need done. Dr. Claire is awesome and I would definitely recommend this office to anyone who needs some dental work done!

We were 16 mins late to one appointment and they refused to see my kids for 6 months cleaning. Reschedule and told me 4 months away. So I called Franklin TN and they got me in. We saw them every 2-3 months almost 7k dollars later I'm informed that my son who has only had one cavity his whole life has THREE CAVITIES AND NEEDS A ROOT CANAL. I'm pissed like how the heck do your staff missed that. I'm about to file all the complaints I can because this is unacceptable. Talk about ineffective dentistry at its best. I will not be back and I am looking to see if they are financially responsible. My PRIVATE dental insurance should be charged for their inability to be sound professionals. No grace given today!!!! Kicker: two years ago FRANKLIN OFFICE was watching that tooth. How did you miss that? Very upset because this is painful and could have been avoided. Beyond disappointed

I am just so impressed with this office! This is our second orthodontist experience because my…read moreoldest had her first round of braces in our previous state. Now it's my son's turn for his first round and I'm so glad we have the option of Benson Orthodontics now that we are in TN! We had NO IDEA just how terrible our previous orthodontist was until we started treatment here. We have felt welcome from the moment we called to make our first appointment. Everyone is so friendly. Dr. Benson was very informative when explaining the treatment my son would need, and Rhonda is fantastic at explaining and working with you to figure out the financial aspect of it all. The welcoming environment is just the tip of the iceberg. We were greeted with a front row parking spot marked with my son's name and balloons for his first appointment, which made him feel a little less nervous. The young lady who placed his brackets and wires talked him through what she was doing, while she was doing it, so he wasn't so anxious. I love that I'm able to sit in the treatment area with him and that they have a brushing station and video games nearby, so I don't have to worry about making sure he brushes at school before his appointment if we don't have time. At our previous orthodontist, we felt like we were being herded through like cattle and never felt welcome. I love that at Dr. Benson's office, they have incentives for the patients to take good care of their braces. Being rewarded for such tedious, not-so-fun tasks is fantastic for a 9 year old! Another thing that I thought was great, was the bag full of items they send home with you to help in caring for your new mouth full of metal. They gave us wax, floss, flossers, a new waterpik, toothbrush, toothpaste, a Benson tee, a guide with a list of what my child should avoid eating, etc. and a really great laminated placard to stick to his bathroom mirror that has real photos of how it looks to properly brush and clean braces, with instructions. It also has photos of what broken wires and other problems look like, so he can stay aware if something doesn't feel right in his mouth. AND to top it all off, Dr. Benson, himself, not an assistant or other member of his staff, called the first night after getting the braces placed, to check on my son. I've NEVER experienced the level of patient care provided at this office. Which is very depressing given the amount of money we gave the previous office for my daughter's care. Also, I can't end this review without mentioning the coffee station in the lobby and fresh, soft cookies on the front counter for you on your way out. My son actually WANTS to go to the orthodontist. I can't wait until they start treating my daughter for her final round of treatment as well, because I feel like she missed out on a better experience by not having Benson Orthodontics as an option. I even apologized to her for it.
