Phibsboro has quite a few charity shops and I love the local Oxfam. It's very bright and airy, with a sort of 'clean' vibe going on. And there are always plenty of bargains to be found. I bought a pair of brand new, never worn sandals (the label was still on them) from Faith there over the summer for a mere €15. I reckon they were worth at least €50. There is a very good selection of books in there as well, although they can sometimes be a little on the dear side, considering they are second hand. The only other issue I have is that they colour-co-ordinate the clothes so you have to rummage through everything instead of being able to go straight to the jacket section for example. But if you have time on your hands, there's nothing like rummaging for a bargain and Oxfam in Phibsboro is an ideal spot to do it. Great staff too, by the way - always helpful and pleasant. read more
