Got a suggestion to come here because I absolutely love picture books and the things they have in this gallery does not disappoint at all. Here are some of my favorite things in this gallery: - The fact that this gallery used to be an old bank is kind of wild. Like all of Marc Brown's Arthur prints are just sitting in a bank vault which is so weird but wonderful at the same time. - The collection of artists they have here is absolutely mind-blowing. Especially the Mo Willems section is absolutely incredible as they have both his original artworks from his hit series as well as new and explorative art that he has been working on. Other favorite artists there included Rosemary Wells (Max & Ruby), Grace Lin, Jason Chin, and Marc Brown. It was like a trip down my childhood memory lane. - I super appreciate that alongside these artworks, the gallery also has the picture books that accompany this and it also doubles, in a way, like a children's bookstore. Honestly, cannot recommend it more especially if you are into picture books. After coming here, I feel like there needs to be more galleries dedicated to picture book art as so many people can relate to it from their childhood. Loved getting to visit this gallery!

Located as it is in the beautiful Pioneer Valley, I'm giving it 4 rather than 5 stars since the gallery would do well to carry more high quality/unique landscapes of the area and those evocative of New England in general. I'm in the retail art business and that's what the majority of people still select to hang in their homes, even alongside other genres, no matter whether they live in NYC or rural Massachusetts.

There are many priceless works in the collection like art from Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keefe, Auguste Rodin, and more. There are 4 floors to explore, and don't forget to use the lower level bathrooms! Both bathrooms are full of art and absolutely beautiful. I'd recommend checking out BOTH bathrooms since the art is different in each. The museum gift shop also has a variety of beautiful, high-quality, and unique gifts. During my most recent visit, I bought Smith College tea as well as a kimono fabric hair clip.

Such a fun experience, felt like hanging with a friend. Could not recommend this place more, especially to college students. We went in the next day, The gallery was very welcoming, very clean and all of the artists were so friendly. Jacki was great to work with. She explained the process to us step by step (first time for both of us). She was so professional yet she made the whole experience fun. She constantly made sure that we were comfortable.
