The first time he and his assistant came by, I voluntarily paid him an additional $20 more because I told him the leaves were going to be a pain due to the yard not being mowed in 1.5 weeks. He had to borrow my extension cord, the lawn in the back had chunks that hadn't been mowed and he raked up the leaves in a pile for me to pick up. The beds surrounding the lawn had not been blown out at all and they were still full of leaves. I decided to let this go because they'd probably get taken care of the following week. Week two came and he postponed due to rain and said he was going to come by two days later. In good faith, I fronted $47. He said he started, but my yard was never touched. For two weeks, it was one excuse after another and finally, I hired someone else. I Venmo requested my $47 refunded and again - multiple excuses, and nothing. They use systems to help them keep track of things and communicate with you and when they say they're going to be there, they show up. Now that lawn mowing season has started it just took a few minutes to go over my preferences for the service with them, including edging and cleanup, and off they went. Josiel was quick to let me know that after the first mowing, there would be individuals who did not have English as a first language. I could really care less about that. What I care about is the job that they do. So far, I have been exceptionally satisfied and I assume that's going to continue. By the way, the reason I started this quest was I was using a different company last summer, and with all the ICE raids that went on, the non English speaking people left the company. They were replaced by a bunch of Americans that for the life of them they could not mow a straight line or edge a straight line. I would have tall grass in between the cut rows that I would have to go out and cut after the fact. Now this may sound racist but I do think that the Hispanic workers that I have had doing work on my property have done far better work than anyone else that I've hired. I saw a recent rant on here on Yelp, reviewing this company, and the individual had very little to say about the work that was done other than they didn't speak English. They did bloe rocks all into the yard,,big ones, alot of them and did such a poor job in the backyard I went behind them and blew out a pile...today they came back to cut the weeds at the sidewalk and again, a couple of Mexicans with zero communication, they call the boss and im speaking to him and he agrees about the rocks but wont agree to the slack job. The workers took one look at it and knew immediately it was theirs.
