Being able to seat yourself is nice, because then you don't have to wait on someone to seat you, and our drink order was immediately taken. After yapping for a while, we ordered two Open Faced Turkey Sandwiches w/ Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, a French Dip w/ Onion rings and a Half Rack of Ribs with Loaded Mashed Potatoes. Our food arrived relatively quickly actually, but unfortunately, it wasn't very warm. The mashed potatoes on both turkey dinners were cold, and had to be sent back to be warmed up (which I'm pretty sure they just did it in the microwave.) My mashed potatoes with my ribs were also cold, but I ate them anyways because I didn't want to have to send every plate back. I felt bad for them. The beef on the French dip looked dry and kind of old, but the onion rings were amazing. The ribs were amazing, falling off the bone tender and super flavorful. It really is unfortunate that everybody's mashed potatoes were cold. Once they were kind of heated up, everything was pretty good though. The waitresses were all super nice even after we had to send food back, so I'm glad they at least had good attitudes and weren't mean to us afterwards. One unique thing I think is really cool about this place is they have a salad bar that is included in some of the dinners! Although it was not included in my rib dinner, so I didn't go and look at it. The restaurant itself was quiet with just the faint sound of casino machines in the background, and a few rowdy guys who showed up in big trucks and were yelling at each other through the windows. All in all, it wasn't too bad and I would probably try it again, but they really do need to heat up those mashed potatoes better.

Food was cold and portions pretty small for what you are paying. Took forever to get our food and there may have been only 2 or 3 tables filled. Could have used more marinara too. Service wasn't great. Felt like we were being ignored... again, they weren't busy. Probably won't come back here for a meal again.

This is notably the most expensive motel I have ever stayed at. THE STAFF ARE THE BEST! The people of this town are just absolutely awesome. They are friendly and patient. I was always greeted with a smile each time I bumped into any of the staff here. Ally and Erin were most notably impactful during my stay. Thank you for the smiles and great conversations. Continental breakfast was simple: biscuits and gravy, 3 cereal options, breads like toast and bagels with jam spread or cream cheese available. Microwavable sandwiches available. Intant Quakers oatmeal also available. Hot coffee served all day. The coffee machine has a hot water option. Plenty of tea options to choose from. VERY UNIQUE: Breakfast starts at 4am! Gym and Pool closed the entire duration. The gym looked completely demolished. There is a community recreational center down the street with daily use rates under $15! Washer and Dryer work decently and quickly. I would recommend to bring your own detergent. Coins available at the front. ROOMS: NO ELEVATORS. Stairs only so note that if you have a lot of crap like I did. Hopefully they upgrade to hardwood floors in halls and rooms. That carpet is an eye sore and inconvenience since mud is trekked in day and night from the construction workers. King Suite - clean, comfortable and spacious. Mini fridge + Microwave with counter space and mini kitchen sink across from bathroom sink. No complaints. Was right above the lobby so it could get loud with the TV on downstairs or random conversations through the night or early morning breakfast preparation. It is what it is. Double Queen Kitchenette - clean and spacious. Carpets are hideous. Rooms are pretty dimmed even with lamps on. Kitchen area itself is well lit. Stovetop, Microwave, all plugs work great. Utensils included with can openers, knives, etc. Kitchen pots and pans need an upgrade. These items looked like they have gone through hell and back but are still functional. Missing pot handles and lids but it does the job. Oddly there is a slow cooker which is pretty unique to see. Random kitchen ware in the cupboards left behind. Don't forget to buy dish soap from either two grocery stores across the street. Can't complain about much for a roof over my head and free coffee all day long. Can't forget the free baked cookies everyday!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. That cold AC and a shower is great after you've been out in the dust and hot sun all day. The hotel was only $10-20 more than the next comparable location and I felt the extra dollars were worth it. The pool is pretty small, but good for kids or just if you want to soak for a bit. The complimentary breakfast was about average, but I enjoyed it. My only complaint is I booked through Expedia and I harvested on my first day of the hunt, so I had to pay for a day I didn't use.

We've been there 20 times in the past 10 years and never had a problem. Well the new owners decided to make it by reservation only. We couldn't have known. We arrived and chose an open site, as always. We paid and settled in. A couple of hours later people showed up and informed us that we were in the site that they had reserved online. There is no one on site to help. No office with someone to tell us about the changes. We drove 5.5 hours to get there. Well, after a few phone calls and a half hour, someone came to straighten things out. But the uncomfortable situation ruined the place for us and, we expect, the other campers too. We won't reserve a site there for fear that the same thing will happen to us as happened to the campers who reserved the site. It's a shame but after 20 stays, we're not going back.
