In our final meeting, when I asked what my daughter does well, the director looked me in the eye and said nothing in front of my child. The only reason I didn't completely lose it in that moment is because my older child had died just four months earlier and I was barely holding it together. For the owner not to consider how such a cruel comment could impact a grieving mother and a 3-year-old who just lost her brother is beyond heartless, it's sociopathic. (Not to mention that due to this, myself and my daughter were already regularly seeing a psychologist who is qualified to make this assessment and almost laughed uncontrollably when told her what the owner had said because it had no basis.) I also witnessed microaggressions, inconsistent treatment, high staff turnover, and teachers speaking inappropriately to children instead of parents. For example, I recall a child being dropped off with breakfast and it was apparently past breakfast time. The teacher said nothing to the parent, but as soon as the parent left, chastised the child. This type of passive aggressive behavior is not acceptable towards a child. Educationally, my daughter was bored, unchallenged, and learning nothing despite the $1,600/month tuition. I have since moved her to a private school that costs less, has stronger academics, all certified teachers, less turnover of staff, and a 100 on all state site visits for consecutive years. She is now thriving, reading at a 2nd grade level and doing 1st grade math at age four. The truth is, she was advanced, and instead of admitting they couldn't support her, this daycare tried to make us the problem. Their fake reviews only reinforce the lack of integrity. Nothing says "I love working with children" like giving parents a discount for a positive review and having staff leave reviews. And I've attached a screenshot of the owner's review in case they try to say this isn't true. If your reputation has to be propped up by you leaving reviews for yourself, that says a lot about your business. Parents, you can get much better care at a better rate somewhere else.

My husband and I walked out literally saying "what the F? Was that?!" About this location. Choose another place because this one is such a mess that it needs a severe management and ownership change. Winston was very professional and taught me the BEST test taking strategies for the GRE. I worked with Winston in 4 one-on-one tutoring sessions and was able to obtain my desired scores on the GRE. He shared valuable ideas to discuss on the analytical writing portion, was helpful in refreshing my memory on a few math sections, and was the most helpful in preparing me how to best answer questions in the verbal reasoning sections. Winston has taken the GRE multiple times and does a thorough job at explaining any of the material covered on the GRE and shares his most valuable techniques on how to be the most efficient test taker. The only reason I rate Richmond Tutors 4/5 stars is Winston has a very full schedule of consistent clients he sees every week. Therefore, I had to settle with 8:00pm time slots for my tutoring sessions. However, I was more than willing to accommodate to Winston's schedule in order to receive his tutoring services and he was always willing to call and allow me to take another time slot if one of his clients canceled their appointment. I would highly recommend Winston and Richmond Tutors to anyone seeking tutoring services to best prepare for the GRE.

Our oldest came for SAT and ACT prep, and he improved significantly on both tests after just a few months of instruction. Obviously he put in he time and effort that was required, but I don't think he could (or would) have done it without help from Richmond. I was impressed by the materials and the somewhat flexible structure of the program, since we were able to add individual hours after the first ten were used without having to write a big check. Even though he's in college, he's been back a few times while on breaks for help with essays and a Spanish class that he probably should have stayed away from! Our middle child used Richmond for SSAT prep and for help with math and science. Again, my wife and I felt that the cost was reasonable, especially for the results that she ended up getting. Now that she's at a new school, we still use Richmond when a big test or an exam is coming up, or if she's having trouble in a particular class. Our youngest just took the SSAT, and again the results were excellent: up from the 40th percentile to nearly the 80th percentile after ten hours and a couple of practice tests. I should add that I do not agree with the negative review regarding the owner and director, Winston Chapman, whom my wife and I have always viewed as professional, courteous, and very helpful. He and his folks have a fantastic operation up in Buckhead, and we hope they're still around for years to come!

Bonnie, Eric, and Susan asked thoughtful questions about our son to match him with the best tutor available. To say they succeeded would be an understatement. Natalie worked with Trey on his executive functioning skills, patiently showed him different ways of doing things, and supported him until his grades soared and he no longer needed help with Lit. In 10th grade, Geometry and Science challenged him, so we reached out to BCG for help in those subjects. Once again, they exceeded our expectations. Gerald, his Science tutor, teaches the same class in a nearby county and presents information differently than my son's teacher, works through several exercises to make sure our son understands the material, and makes suggestions of what he can do to stay on track until his next weekly session. Dan, our son's Geometry tutor, might be an angel in disguise. Thanks to his guidance and explanations, our son excitedly refreshes his Infinite Campus app to see how well he did on quizzes and tests instead of dreading the grades being posted. (Truly, he's excited to check his grades; what teen gets excited about anything other than sleeping in!?) We're incredibly grateful to have found BCG and know that, if our son needs tutoring in other subjects, BCG will find the right tutor who understands how our son learns and help him succeed in his classes.
