My mother in law died suddenly. She had pre-purchased a casket in a specific color and was guaranteed that it would be available upon her death. Lo and behold, "oh we don't have that one but we can get you a new one", right, sure. They showed us caskets that cost one hell of a lot more and were uglier and cheap looking. No. I was looking up rights of families when it came to bait and switch tactics and randomly a yelp review for a purple casket just popped up. So I clicked on it. Sooooo glad i did. It was reasonably priced, and they delivered directly to the mortuary. It made it here in more than enough time. Everyone was happy that our Mary would spend her eternity in the purple she loved so much. We were extremely happy with our choice and I would refer this place in a heart beat!!!

Holy cow! I placed my order at 11:15pm on Thursday evening and it was delivered by 4:00pm THE NEXT DAY. I expected the casket to ship Friday and arrive on Monday or Tuesday at the latest. Since the Free Delivery was 1 - 3 business days, I decided to pay $150 for the 1 - 2 day shipping just to avoid any unnecessary stress. I could not believe when the Funeral Director told me it had been delivered. He provided the photo.

In a time of grief, I took a chance to avoid overspending on a casket provided by the funeral home. I'm thrilled with the result. We purchased a very high quality casket for my father at about one third the cost of a retail casket provided by the funeral home It was shipped quickly and arrived well-packed, on time, and in perfect condition. The quality vastly exceeded my expectations.

I initially ordered the 20 gauge Last Supper Antique White Finish with White Interior for $895.00. An Overnight Caskets representative called me and told me it wasn't available, but...they offered me a better quality 18 gauge White Cross Lord's Prayer Antique White Finish with White Interior that costs $995 for the same price. I accepted and the casket was there the next day, as advertised. If you purchase a casket through the funeral home expect to pay $2,000 or more. I don't know about you, but...to me...we got a good deal. The picture on the website does no justice to how beautiful this casket was. I have absolutely no problem with this company and I highly recommend it if you have the unfortunate circumstance of losing a loved one.

Don't do it! I thought I ordered a $690 casket and received a total bill for over $1900 a week later!

There's massive construction going on, and they're trying to make more space available for future permanent residents. This well-maintained boutique type cemetery deserves to be on anyone's bucket list for locals and visitors visiting LA! My mother is interned here, and every time I visit, I always go to the cemetery office to say hello! But now, there isn't an office right now, because they removed that classic building! When I pay my respects, it's always an adventure. I get approached by people who are looking for Marilyn, finding a restroom, asking me if my mom is a famous celebrity, and wanting secrets about where certain high profile people are. I get all kinds of questions, and sometimes they are hilarious! Let's face it, to be interned here is $$$$$$$. It's almost like an exclusive club where people are dying to get in. I've gotten to know other loved ones of the deceased over the years, and always a pleasant experience. The staff and landscaping staff are amazing at what they do! And their dedication to maintaining this clean and safe environment is outstanding! For the steep price they charge for a plot, I'd say it's so worth it. When I visit my mom, there's no cobwebs, no trash, and it's spotless. The people I've seen, and the stories I've heard, some wacky tales, that is something I'll take to my grave, when it's my turn to be buried here. The only gripe I have is when a celebrity passes and there's a burial service, they close the whole cemetery, and I can't get in to see my mom. That's happened a few times. However, the security guard or staff member are always polite enough to tell me to make arrangements to visit another day. Mostly, my experience dealing with this cemetery has always been a pleasant one. Highly recommended!! Thank you for reading this!

Today I came here to see if my friend J's headstone was there. She is interred now with her husband D who passed in the 90s. I know she is at peace in her final resting place ... she will always be remembered with love and joy! And inside each of our hearts she will always reside ... I espied D's headstone and realized the new one that was supposed to replace it wasn't there.. I knew I had to do some detective work to find out what was happening!!! I met with Amber ( the person who would guide me through this process) in her office behind the chapel. Wow, she is definitely the loveliest of people! Smart, charming and kind... she helped me find out what the status was re: NEW headstone. I let her family know all of the details I had gathered and I was assured all would be resolved soon. PS I also also want to mention that when I first arrived at Pierce Brothers I spotted a fellow working there who helped me too... HIS NAME IS ANGEL! How cosmic and appropriate... ;))) I will return again and again. It is and amazing and peaceful place.

The best gift in life is a Mother, and life's greatest loss is the death of one's Mother…read more My sister and I were utterly devastated by our sudden and tragic loss last month, and Ms. Margaret Velez and Mr. Martin Guerrero were a source of gentle calm and support for us. Despite the fact that Dignity is owned by a massive, profit-oriented, multi-billion dollar corporation - the largest provider of funeral services in the U.S. - both these gracious and exemplary employees were empathetic and easy to work with during this devastatingly grief-stricken time. The distinguished Mr. Martin, who arranged the funeral, was a source of grace, class, and comfort for my sister and I, and he carried out our beloved Mother's service last week with knowledge, experience, and refinement. The viewing at the quaint and beautiful Chapel with colorful stained-glass windows was artistically-inspired with her large portrait and a grand display of flowers, and our dear Mother was immaculately dressed and groomed, and looked as if she were asleep. We had arranged for a dove release at the service, and he encouraged my sister and I to each hold then release a dove before releasing the entire flock. The benevolent and soft-spoken Ms. Margaret took the time to show us around the park for possible resting places for Mom, and her gentle disposition and kindness made this process a little less taxing. Our Father was interred here over a decade ago, which brought attention and interest from our relatives and friends to this memorial park; our uncle and aunt were then interred here as well. We're most grateful to Mr. Martin and Ms. Margaret for their compassion and professionalism during the most heartbreaking and tragic time of our lives.

I wasn't part of any of the planning whatsoever and just an attendee, so I am only speaking from my experience then. I was able to make it to my grandfather's cremation. Staff was polite and sympathetic enough. We had to use the restroom and facilities were clean. At the crematorium our grandfather was in a paper casket on the other side of the "window". We had a Buddhist ceremony before his cremation with some local temple monks facilitating it. They brought their own offerings and set up for the ceremony. There is a couch and some rugs in that lobby area, but not enough for our large family. Wish I knew this ahead of time, since a lot of us had to kneel and pray on the hard tile floor. As for my uncle's cremation, I missed that completely! I don't know if it was weird lost in translation thing that happened with the family members that planned it, but I had to initially take work off on a Thursday and then when the time came, was told that this facility couldn't get some kind of health department's signature so they couldn't do it. I'm assuming not for the entire facility itself since that would delay WAY too much but for maybe my uncle in general? And then it was last minute pushed to Monday and I had to miss it completely. Sucks, but again, I don't know if it was my family that had a hand in this or the business itself. I live near giga cemeteries and funeral homes like Rose Hills and I'm not from this area, so I can't gauge what better options there may be.

My parents have purchased their resting place and services here at San Fernando Mission Cemetery more than two decades ago. My beloved mom was diagnosed with cancer and within 6 months she passed. Estela Sanchez, one of the funeral directors that took care of all our family's needs were excellent from beginning to end. She took care of everything for my dad and our family. At the time of passing, the mortuary came to the house and collected my mom's body within two hours of her passing. They gave full care and consideration for other family members that arrived late early morning to say their proper farewell. Following the days before the services, mass and funeral we were contacted several times to inform us and remind us of the schedule. We had the pleasure of working with Deacon Johnson assisting the mass and taking care of the services for my beloved mom. Deacon Johnson from San Fernando Mission Cemetery also coordinated with our parish priest Father Lawerence to have the funeral mass for our beloved mom. We had the proper Catholic funeral mass. San Fernando Mission Cemetery even had the plaque ready for my beloved mom's resting place when they said it would be. Thankful for the care, consideration and kindness San Fernando Mission Cemetery provided my dad and our family during services, funeral and mass for our beloved mom.
