He was amazingly kind and showed my little one that big kids aren't so scary and can be cool. After awhile a group of Gabe's friends joined- It was the cutest kindness thing ever! The teachers were great with their students playing basketball and very much involved. Everyone involved in this kiddos life is obviously doing a fantastic job and this kiddo deserves a shout out! They don't help you at all if you're a student at the school.They say they will do something and never follow through with it, they're never in their office. I'm assuming they're always out at lunch or something. Every time you want to talk to a counselor you always have to leave a message with the receptionist. And by the way that receptionist is extremely rude! I walk up to her desk and she proceeds with "what do you want?". I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. The lunch, the students, the staff, and most of all THE COUNSELORS are unprofessional and unorganized. Please do yourself and your child a favor and send your kid somewhere else.

Well for one, the Marine biology room has fire hazards all over the place. They have too many…read morethings plugged into very few outlets next to large tanks of water. The school does know about it but they haven't done anything and won't do anything till next year. This room has been like that for years. Even worse the science department has not so great science teacher's. Out of my four years there I only met one teacher that could help when I needed help. They have amazing English teachers and FCCLA teachers are great as well. The math department has good teachers as well so does the social studies department. Except one teacher who plays favorites.

I did notice with my niece going here last year that the schools substitutes teachers lack in education. Every time there was a substitute the children were left with no directions or help and it was basically fend for yourself. The 8th grade math teacher was AMAZING and would set up after school meetings to help the children better understand the topic they were focusing on at that time. One of the English teachers I was very disappointed in. Throughout the year I sent about 10 messages asking for clarification on subjects to better help my student which NON were replied to. I had to do my own research to help her better understand what the hell was going on. Some of the projects were so off topic that we were both left puzzled and without help since the teacher wouldn't reply. There are steps that need to be addressed to make the teachers better for our students as our students are the future.

They have so many honored nationally recognized programs, it would be nice for all students to take advantage . There are museums on campus and overall ,a pretty university space. Any season of the year, the landscaping is lush, even in a snowy year, the crispness is nice. But spring and fall are the colorful times.

I called ahead to the Veterans Center, and the gentleman I spoke with informed me that they do not offer tours. I found this ironic because the community college I currently attend, as well as several other universities I plan to apply to, have all had veterans centers that were significantly more helpful than CU's. UCLA, for instance, arranged a full campus tour led by a fellow veteran student. After the tour, I had a 30-minute question-and-answer session with the head of the UCLA Veterans Success Center. In contrast, CU's Veterans Center simply told me, "We don't do tours. You can go online and look at our checklist for more information." Based on this experience, I am unlikely to apply to CU. First impressions are everything, and I do not want to be part of an environment that lacks meaningful support for veterans. CU has a lot of room for improvement.

Mrs. Zyla will not EVER help your child with any assignments/homework or offer up a solution to her home room class and will most certainly belittle and patronize you as the parent to your children when you question her abilities as a component teacher. Mrs. Esporono is a terrible stem and science teacher and will yell at your children in front of the whole class and completely humiliate them knowing that part of her job is to create daily plans for children with an IEP. Mr. Heavyland just doesn't care if your children fail, plays favorites with other students he likes and refuses to help kids with IEP plans. BEWARE.

The Tivoli Student Union is the building for the student center of the Metropolitan State College…read moreof Denver, the University of Colorado Denver, and the Community College of Denver. It used to be the Tivoli Brewing Company, a historical landmark. Many of the historic features are even still there, including the copper brewing kettles and a barrel lift that is visible from two levels. Inside was quite nice and bustling with students and life. The staff in the bookstore were very helpful and overall it was a pleasant experience.
