My husband brought this back for me and I enjoyed every single bite! The meat was so tender, bread was extremely soft and the pickled relish was to die for. This place definitely has quality meat! The meat? Not bad. But the attitude from the man behind the counter? Off the charts. Arrogant, cold, and borderline hostile. Asking a question felt like interrupting his day. I've been going to overland for over 20 years, buts been awhile and while the new owners have kept the menu the same, in a good way, the people are rude. We went on a Saturday and the man at the deli, which I believe was from the butcher aide, seemed annoyed that we were there, had to work, or mad at life in general. This was not our first experience with staff that frankly, are not friendly. The sandwich was the same, good, but I shouldn't feel that I'm putting them out for wanting to be a customer. Meat is fine - nothing spectacular; better than the big chain grocery stores. What is important for me is the consistency of everything. I can trust this place to provide consistently above average meat which makes it great for special occasions. The guy serving the cuts needs a vacation, or something. Probably not a great choice for anyone with a low tolerance to comical levels of tough guy posturing. I used to love Overland's meat company for their sandwiches and salads to take to the office but now I call to find out about their meat packs and they give me a website to go to only for the website to gather all your information and it takes you to Nowhere when you push Complete I would prefer to come in with a list of where I want a 50 pound meat pack to consist of since they have all the meat at the counter, but apparently I'm not able to do that so I quit. I ended up not getting my meat pack from them and went with another company that doesn't have the high grade of meat that Overlands does, but it didn't cost me nearly as much either just seem like they've gotten too high maintenance and do does it need to service the little guys it's a bummer cause I did really enjoy their meat and the service that came with the meat counter. Maybe someday they'll get back to the Hesperia Apple Valley Victorville high Desert ways. subscribe and save is Amazon's way not a meat pack way. read more

This place was Ah-Mazing! The staff was so fun & helpful. We dined-in, the seating area was super cute. In the meat market area, the butcher was talking baseball with a customer. In the deli, the guys helped my husband & me build our sandwhich & salad. I had a Keto salad, that was like a big sandwhich without the bread, all of it on a plate (or technically a to-go container). My husband got roast beef AND pastrami on a sandwhich and the employee recommemded some things & toppings & walked us through everything to add on the sandwhich. The butcher Casey is extremely knowledgeable if you have questions about how to cook the meats you buy. The quality of the meat and seafood is better than any grocery store.
