I've taken my dog here multiple times. The first time my lab had an ear infection and needed it cleaned out plus some antibiotics. The tech was nice and gentle and seemed to like animals. The vet on the other hand was extremely rough. I thought maybe it had been a bad day for her, but we've been there multiply times since and she has been just as rough and annoyed at us. She doesn't seem to like animals. The only reason this review is getting one star, is because of the techs, and the secretary. Plus, you can't do a half star. read more

New to Pinetop and seen some mixed reviews about the different clinics up there so we came here on our inlaws recommendation. They have been bringing all of their dogs here the last 12 years and have always had good things to say. We were not disappointed. Called for appointment, phone was answered promptly by Randy, I believe. Call was smooth and fast and appointment was scheduled for 2 days out but they had the availability to see my dog next day. Brought our dog in and he was immediately greeted by the front office and we were taken to a room with no wait. The vet tech is the wife of the doctor, she was very kind and listened to all of our concerns. Then came Dr. Myers, what a great guy. So friendly and loving with our dog. He answered all of our questions and addressed all of our issues. The prices are very reasonable also. We have found our new vet! read more

Yes, I am a fan of Overgaard Animal Clinic, However the new large animal vet Chris McCarthy that I was referred to when our horse needed help and ultimately had to be put down is way out of line when it comes to the cost of her services. Our old horse suffered from arthritis and when he would lay down he could not get back up again. The first visit she charged $450 for a call and an injection of a pain killer. The second time when he could not get up again and was in pain and suffering we decided to have him put down. Because I was in the valley with my wife in the hospital and could not take care of it myself I asked my son to call and have her come out to euthanize the horse. It was a few days later when I found out that she had charged another $450 for this service. So bottom line only call her if you are rich and can spend a minimum of $450 for her services!!!!!! read more

This clinic killed our cat by giving her way too much anesthesia. We took her in for a simple procedure to get stitched up because one of our other cats got into a big cat fight with her leaving a 2" gash on her right side. She was family to us and she will be missed. Because of the actions by this clinic for killing our cat I will never take another animal to this clinic nor do I recommend this clinic to anyone. read more

Took my dog in to the vet to see Dr. Carol Yeisley on an emergency situation. My boy had loss of coordination, his head was rocking back and forth, and he was lethargic. She attempted to give him an iv and stab him roughly 15 times trying to set the iv and moving it around and pulling on it. She didn't even ask if he had nausea or ask us if she could inject him with that she just said I'm giving him this and stuck it in his iv and injected. She then stated that he could get worse before it gets better and said its something neurological. That was all that she said which we knew before going into the vet. Then she gave him a bunch of medications and 3 iv bags to go home with. My boy died the following morning in my arms. I was holding him as he passed. I never expected this to happen and wasn't prepared for this at all. After the prescribed medications is when he got so much worse. All we used was 1 pill in each bottle and had the iv's and the boxed medication still in the box as it wasn't time to take it since she gave him an iv injection of it. The vet refused to take it back or give a refund of any kind. When we walked into the vet office with tears in our eyes the vet was sitting at her comp checking her bank account. She didn't say anything to us like how is your dog since we were just in there. We even stated that he passed the following morning. She didn't say a word. I have never in all my life seen such a cold hearted vet. All she cared about was her bank account. Which she charged me an enormous amount of money 830 dollars. To basically tell us nothing. I would highly recommend taking your precious and loved animals to a different vet with a heart. Also on review of the medications she prescribed for my beloved animal. All of them had very common side effects of lethargy, loss of coordination, drowsiness, and loss of balance. Why on earth would you give an animal something with 3 medications that all cause more of what the animal is experiencing. After talking to a pet pharmacist he stated Compounding and overlapping side effects. Please don't take your loved fur babies here. read more

My friend brought her cat to see Dr Carol Yeisley. The cat had about a two inch laceration on her side that needed to be sutured. My friend was quoted a ridiculous amount of money (between $475 and $577). This included a $90 emergency fee during office hours. Wanting nothing but the best care for her beloved cat she took her in. After what seemed to take a rather long time for a small closure the vet came out and announced that Miss Kitty had died AFTER the surgery was finished. YES, after the animal had been sutured up she died, so my friend was charged for the entire procedure which included the suture material AND additional anesthesia. Supposedly this was NOT a major surgery just a small wound caused by another cat. To add insult to injury the staff at the front desk were extremely callous and would not let my friend leave until she had figured out a payment plan. Her down payment of over $200 was not enough. They told her they would take off the cost of the post surgery medication and post surgery bandage material but her bill would still be over $300. YES, they actually told her this as if they were doing her a favor. She tried to apply for credit care but she did not qualify. She was allowed to leave after signing a promissory note for $135 and told this money has to be paid by November 10. I called them to appeal to their good nature and reduce the amount of the remaining bill. I was told I would receive a call back from the veterinarian. It never happened. Now that's NOT what I call compassion or being professional. Over rated, cold hearted and questionable capabilities. I am a retired veterinary technician and I highly recommend you find somewhere else to take your animals. read more

The Overgaard Animal Clinic was a very good place to take your dog/cat when Dr Myers owned the business. A female Vet from out of State bought the business about 3 months ago and Dr Meyers retired. The new Vet is very unfriendly but seems to know her business. She is not Dr Meyers and I understood that when I took my Toy Poodle in there for an annual exam since he is on daily medication. She answered my questions and seemed interested in my Pet's health. I referred a friend to the business for a teeth cleaning on her dog. The new Vet quoted her between 600-1100 dollars for a teeth cleaning and extracting an infected tooth. It turned out to be over 1100 dollars and 4 teeth were extracted at a price of $178.00 per tooth along with various other fees. My friend thought the fees were outrageous and voiced her displeasure. I had taken my Poodle to this same business when Dr Meyers owned it and paid $352.00 for 9 tooth extractions and a teeth cleaning along with medical issues my pet had. I would not recommend this clinic now that the new Vet owns it. I think overcharging for services is just as bad as being a bad Vet. Most people in Overgaard are retired and live on a fixed income and can't pay these prices. My wife and I have stopped going there for any reason. We are going to Cedar Ridge in Snowflake, Az. to give them a try. read more
