My son met with 3 different counselors there for at least one year each. There was terrible…read morecommunication, I never received one returned phone call until I asked to speak to Dr Aucoin herself and even then, she made excuses for the counselors not helping my son. One counsel told us constantly, "I don't know what to do." Another told us that my son's behavior was normal for a child his age (other counselors cringed when I told them that, I mean if you have common sense, you'll know that it was definitely not age appropriate), and finally, our last counselor had the worst advice ever. My son is dishonest about everything, her answer, "stop setting him up by asking questions when you know he'll lie anyway." I wanted an evaluation done to determine if he should see a psychologist. Her answer? To have an email sent to dad and one sent to me. We "read it to him, make sure he understands what the words mean and answer what he says". Yeah, im sure he'll be totally honest with that. What could go wrong, right? We were told by his teachers that he was becoming deisobedient at school and needed to see his counselor more than twice a week. Her answer? "He is showing PROGRESS so I only want to see him once a month." I had to call 3 times over the course of a week to finally get her to return my call. In every massage, I said that it was an emergency. My son's teacher (who had spoken to his counselors many, many times) also left several messages. When she finally returned my phone call, she scheduled an appointment for his dad and I to attend. Very little was actually spoken about my son. She made us meet with her so she could tell us she was moving. It was a blessing in disguise.
