Everyone was kind and friendly the person waiting on me at the front desk Tessa she was awesome. Very helpful and kind. I had lots of questions. She had no problem giving the answers. Then we did buy a few things at the front. They also offer each week a month a cabinet like you packed type thing today's had like some cheese sticks in it. It had a dip that had a quart of yogurt has some slicing cheese on burgers. It had the kind of crackers it had a cream cheese. It had about seven different items in the bag for $25. I really felt that was a very good value Because it's directly from the farmer. They had a lot of good deals today. They are fresh local meats and cheeses pies from humble pie company and waffle. They also had ice cream from like five different companies. This was a lot of fun so glad I bought the ticket. It was only $10 and well worth the price. My intentions had to take my grandkids up here so they can see the cows and stuff and they can get ice cream a different day.

At first I was a little frazzled when I realized you need to order on the website and then come down and pick it up. This was no problem. I called back from the parking lot, placed my order, and they brought it out and put it in my car. I'm sure if it was a busy time this may have taken longer. Bottom line: they are doing this the right way. I had no physical contact with anyone so all i needed to do was wash the groceries when I got home, which I do anyway! Great service. Decent selection for a country store. Friendly and helpful staff. Much safer than going to the grocery store for us and for them. I highly recommend this business.

When the corn reaches full size, they have delicious corn. In fact, many years we participate in K&B's weekly CSA because we love their produce so much. In addition to great produce, K&B has relationships with terrific CT vendors, including two of my favorites- Granny's Pie Factory and Seed Bagel Shop. They frequently have several pies from Granny's and bags of 6 bagels from Seed. They have CT milk in really cool glass containers. They have CT cheese. They have gourmet CT ice cream sandwiches. K&B has terrific products, service is great and I love driving there and picking out stuff.

Businesses like Sardilli's make Covid life much easier by bringing us top notch groceries in a safe setting and making dining at home all the time even fun. Sardilli's, which supplies restaurants in normal times, has pivoted to provide household consumers with CSA-style boxes of produce, dairy, and meat available for pickup weekly on Wednesday mornings. You can choose from a variety of options: fruit only, fruit and vegetables, berries only (which is great for my berry-eating two-year old), a dairy box, and meat box. Most innovative is the dinner box. Sardilli's partners with local restaurants to produce a family style meal for four for, I think, about $55. The Take 5 (a Hartford business lunch/ catering joint) box was a tremendous deal and was delicious--it included salad, Italian wedding soup, a rich and complicated chicken/ eggplant main course, pasta, and biscotti. The Max Downtown box--which sells out really fast--was also delicious and a great deal. The produce boxes also contain high-quality produce which is much more reliable than the quality you get from grocery store delivery or curbside pickup. The curbside pickup in Hartford (Locust Street) was so organized, seamless and safe. I was in and out of the lot in under 5 minutes. The on line ordering was easy and I got everything promised. The veggies I received were fresh and lasted 2 weeks in my fridge. The fish was excellent. I believe they have a dairy box too. I am thrilled to have this option.
