Contracted private picnic services for 2 at Pearmund Cellars…read more Communication was excellent, prompt and clear. The Pearmund cellars winery was also a great place to set up because we were under a large willow tree that gave privacy and shade. The picnic set up itself was beautiful! I gave a few suggestions based on what I saw online and they really hit every mark. There were several cute little touches included like mini fans, bug spray and some water. My partner was so surprised and it felt so special. I only wish there was a fuller gallery on the website so you can see more detailed pictures/different angles. I had to comb through their IG and Facebook to find something more along the lines of what I was looking for.

The design of the picnic set-up was exactly as I had requested when making the initial reservation. This was a unique and very special experience that exceeded my expectations and accomplished the goal of surprising my fiancé. Bringing her to tears (happy of course!). Last, but not least, the spot under the shady willow tree was perfect. Thank you, Warrenton Picnic Co.

One word needed... AMAZING!…read more I do not have enough good things to say about Lisa and the Dove release. My husband and I got married Sept 4, 2016 and had a dove release during the ceremony. It was an amazing moment and was all the guest talked about. We decided to release the doves out of the white basket. Not only did they fly out gracefully they also circled the venue multiple times. Lisa was such a joy to work with during the planning. A must have at any ceremony!

I recently attended a wedding reception at Great Marsh Estate's Stables reception hall. I loved how…read morethe driveway was lined with trees. The Stables reception hall was basically a barn with an outdoor area lit with string light garlands. Depending the the size of your wedding, you'll either have a small or large dancing area. I liked how the buffet area was shaded. It was an ideal venue for fall wedding as it wasn't too warm inside.

Because the main house/venue is historic, it does not accommodate people with disabilities for…read morerestroom use. You have to go all the way down to the stables. They offer a golf cart to drive you down but again, if your disability makes it impossible to climb steps, you'll struggle to board the golf cart. They could install a removable ramp that would not interfere with the building's structure when they know it will be needed or even tuck a portopotty near the carriage/garage house. Wheelchairs are difficult to push through the grass and gravel. The staff is very friendly and pleasant to interact with. Pick your DJ carefully. The DJ that was chosen for the wedding we attended, rarely played a complete song. Even cutting the 3 important dances short. Unprofessional. The food that was offered for dinner was horrible. I've had better food in a hospital as a patient. The beef was dried out. The seasonal vegetables were the frozen California blend of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots that were complete mush and without butter or seasonings. I didn't try anything else from the dinner offering. Everyone at my table was not happy. We left early enough to be able to get food delivered to our hotel. The appetizers served during cocktail hour were good. The mini chicken and waffles seemed to be a big hit. The dessert table was amazing. I wish they had been full sized desserts instead of bite sized. We tipped our primary caregiver of our table. I wish I had gotten her name. She was older, very attentive and genuinely kind. Her smile reached her eyes which shows she has a good heart and cared about her job and her clients at the table. She had a great laugh too. The wedding coordinator failed to explain to the bridesmaids and groomsmen that they actually had jobs to do besides stand there and look pretty and drink. Groomsmen are supposed to escort women to their seats and bridesmaids/maid of honor are supposed to help keep the bride's train on her dress straight, hold her bouquet at the appropriate time etc. The photographers were amazing and handled herding the people for the photos with an effortless yet strong hand.
