I knew I wanted to build a company that combined my background, discipline, and love for forestry with a commitment to respecting the natural world. Outlaw Barkitecture would do just that, providing tree care services that prioritized the health and sustainability of the forest. This wouldn’t just be a business; it would be a service that honored the land, one that valued each tree not just as part of the ecosystem, but as part of a larger story. And with “Outlaw” in the name, it carried the spirit of doing things differently, of challenging the status quo in forestry.
Starting Outlaw Barkitecture wasn’t without its challenges. I had to get creative, finding ways to source equipment, build a network, and gather clients who shared my vision for sustainable, thoughtful tree care. My veteran background taught me resilience, and my experience with autism gave me a unique perspective—I could see details in the landscape that others might miss.

Growing up with autism, I found my place in nature. While the world was often overwhelming, the forest offered peace, a space where things made sense. Trees became my passion; each one had a story to tell, teaching me about patience, resilience, and balance. The quiet rhythm of the forest became a source of comfort and understanding.
After my time in the military, I returned to this passion, wanting to build a life that would support my family and keep me close to the land I loved. Outlaw Barkitecture was born from this vision—a tree service that combines my lifelong respect for nature with a commitment to excellence. Through this work, I not only care for trees but continue to learn from them, deepening my knowledge with each project.
