The customer service that I have received via email has been outstanding. I bought a pair of Merrell sandals and after 2 months of wearing them they began to rip on the heel. I emailed customer service asking if they could give me some advice about the faulty sandals. A lady called Debbie replied to my email the same day and is sending me a new pair of sandals out immediately. I would definitely buy from them again and also recommend to family and friends. I ordered a Vango Airbeam Tent from Outback late August this year. It arrived on time, excellent price and we took it on holiday to Derbyshire. We pumped it up and on the first night the front of the tent collapsed. We suspected the valve was faulty. This happened on a Saturday night and on Sunday I rang the shop and got through to Mr Lemon's mobile as the shop was closed. Initially he was not helpful stating there was nothing he could do as it was a Sunday. He told us that we should have checked the tent by erecting it closer to home initially, which begs the question, what is the point of quality checks? It was after all an expensive item. My partner pointed out that he could with a bit of nouse and good customer skills, contact another trader in the location, bearing in mind that we did not have internet access to check and contact ourselves. My partner also said that many traders DO open on a Sunday and that he could arrange for the suspect valve to be replaced at no cost to ourselves. I won't go into further details of the somewhat laboured exchange of (for me expensive) mobile phone calls, but eventually to my suprise he came up trumps. He told us that a Camping shop approximately 25 miles away (he had checked our location and the distance online) were Vango Agents and that the Manager could supply us with a spare valve for free. We went there, she did and the problem was resolved! In conclusion, Mr Lemon does need to improve on his customer care skills from point of contact. The customer is often (but not always I grant you) right. After care is just as important as the purchase point itself! read more

Truly awful customer service. Incorrect information about postage costs on website. When I called to discuss this, having placed an order and paid several days previously, a very rude owner ranted and raved and then hung up on me. Please avoid if you value your time! ETA the owner has since replied to my review claiming that I was shouting at his member of staff which of course is absolutely ridiculous I'm not the shouty type! I have removed his comment because it is factually incorrect and frankly it's a bit childish to be making stuff up. I will happily leave anything that he writes if it is the truth, right of reply and all that. Thanks to my help they have at least corrected the misleading information on the website that caused the original problem, although you would still have to deal with Mr angry when they make a mistake. Not that they make mistakes as the customer is always wrong. I still recommend that you avoid them. read more

I can't fault this company. They were helpful, fast and the product I wanted was at the best price on the internet. Free delivery and I had my fabulous new boots two days later. read more
