The tip ONLY bothered me because at the end we were the only ones in there and we had about 7 paint bottles on the table, the ladies were standing around talking (totally fine like I said no one else was in there) but the last table that left had all their paint on their table still. So when I asked do we just leave? She said can you put your paints away. It's totally fine except for the fact that like, it took us a long time to find the proper spots, they weren't doing anything and she knew we were in a time crunch, I just feel like if im going to tip $11 maybe they should have put our paints away for us? Not being lazy it just seems it would have been much faster and helpful for them to do it since we were the only ones in there. Anyway. I don't want to come off rude, everyone was very nice, I just don't understand tip culture these days where we are tipping for something that we do all the work for lol (I was a bartender for 18 years so I always tip)

If you have been in before they are good about taking a more hands off approach. The selection of pottery to paint has decreased in variety I believe due to the other activities. They offer a party room, which could be a really fun family outing or child's party. I have only done the pottery painting but am considering the couples wheel class. Check their website for different classes offered. The price may seem high but considering all that is included, I really don't find it unreasonable.

It truly was a beautiful wedding. Many of our guests complimented the food, and several members of the staff, especially Iris at the bar and LaCiana, were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout the day. Their efforts, especially when helping de-escalate stressful moments, did not go unnoticed. What made this experience so disappointing is that we've planned and executed a wedding ourselves before. It was on a much smaller budget and with only about a month to prepare, so we understand firsthand how much work goes into making a wedding successful. Because of that experience, hiring a venue that offered coordination was one of the easiest decisions to make. Not because we couldn't do it ourselves, but because we didn't want to. We wanted the bride and groom, their families, and the bridal party to simply enjoy the day while experienced professionals handled the logistics. Unfortunately, that's not how the day unfolded. Throughout the day, there were communication breakdowns, timeline confusion, setup issues, meal service problems, bar service concerns, and an abrupt end to the reception that left many guests unsure of what was happening. Instead of simply celebrating, members of the bridal party and family found themselves helping manage situations that should have been handled by the professionals hired to coordinate the event. As someone currently pursuing a Business Management degree, I couldn't help but notice that the biggest issue wasn't that mistakes happened. Every wedding has unexpected challenges. The difference is how those challenges are communicated, managed, and resolved. The venue has so much potential, which honestly makes this review even harder to write. I genuinely hope improvements are made because every couple deserves to spend their wedding day fully present, surrounded by the people they love, rather than relying on family and friends to help coordinate the event they paid professionals to manage.

My wedding was a few weeks ago in Sandusky, both my fiancé and I live out of state and planned the wedding a month out due to COVID and times being unpredictable. I reached out to Maria, and after one phone call she reassured me that everything will be done in time. If you want to talk about stress, I had it, I was an anxious bride for sure and needed constant updates. Maria does live in an area with bad reception, just driving through OH it's not uncommon. Anyway, maria planned and attended meeting with vendors a week after that and was honest throughout. I gave Maria a budget and she bent over backwards trying to get me the best that my budget allowed. She has been in business for a very long time and has made connections with some amazing vendors who also go out of their way for their clients. I have to say that everything Maria pulled together in under a month was amazing, it honestly surpassed my expectations. The food was phenomenal catered by John who owns Waterloo restaurant in Akron, the decorations were beautiful and I couldn't be more thankful. I highly recommend Maria, she's the best.

All the fixtures in our room had rust which is not surprising since there was no bathroom fan. Massive water damage in our hallway. Only pool was outdoors and the kitchen/bar were closed our entire stay. The price we were charged for our room was basically highway robbery. We would have checked out and gone to another hotel but they charged us upon check-in rather than check-out. The only nice thing I can say was the mattresses seemed new and were pretty comfortable. We will never stay here again. There are much nicer hotels in the Montrose/Fairlawn/Akron area for a similar price. And even nicer ones in Richfield area or Wooster area if you are willing to drive a bit.

See my review of it. Mary Jane Ferris, wedding and event coodinator extrodinaire, sent me to Ferris Steakhouse for a venue. Then she connected me with Brenda, SociallyArtistic for all my flowers and decor. OMG Brenda is unbelievable! She worked with me and completely understood my personal, crazy situation of family etc. My daughter decided the colors for the wedding because she is a busy doctor and hates shopping. Brenda was so understanding and let me wait until my daughter told me the color of the dress she chose before we decided on our pallet. So cool. Socially Artistic delivered all the bouquets and boutonnieres to the church for the ceremony. She was there when we all arrived and pinned the flowers to the men and made sure all the ladies had their bouquets and corsages. It was a little hectic bug Brenda was like a rock in the torrent. I also got a wrist corsage for my mother-in-law. It was exquisite and perfect. My mother-in-law spent a lot of money on her gorgeous dress so I did not want to stick a pin in it. She loved her flowers. In fact, she has not had one word of criticism for the entire wedding and I've been her daughter-in-law for almost a week! I am just getting to the reception. Brenda and her team turned the party room at Ferris Steakhouse into a fairytale scene! Glorious hydrangeas an roses of every pink hue everywhere. And lovely candlelight at multple heights all around the room. There were candlelit flower garlands on the fireplace mantle and over the doorway to the party room. Every table was laden with small and large arrangements. Unbelievably charming!!! There was a topiary on the appetizer table that was magnificent. I told Brenda that I wanted twinkle lights and she delivered! Our reception was magical, thanks to Socially Artistic and Brenda's magic. Now I will tell you how easy Brenda made the whole thing. Really easy. Whether your wedding is in 2 months, or a year or more, call Brenda. You will be so happy you did.

The first time I spoke with her she invited me to meet with her in person and made me feel at ease to choose her as my coordinator. About a month before the wedding, we met again to go over all the final details. She was extremely helpful in polishing up the last minute details, such as how to add some time to the ceremony. Any uncertainty I had, she had a solution, and a good one! She was very responsive to me during those days leading up to the wedding. The wedding was so well put together the day of. She helped coordinate and communicated our bridal party schedules. She was calm and comforting during what could have been a stressful time. She set up all of my décor in a perfect way. Everything was just perfectly coordinated. I highly recommend Brenda for your wedding. Although we didn't hire her for her full planning package, I am certain she would do a fabulous job on that as well. Thanks again Brenda for everything you did to make sure our wedding was perfection!
