This review is in regards to the Khedive Temple Rodeo Championship…read more I honestly left this event pretty disturbed and very unhappy. Their website, Facebook page, and flyer had ZERO information other than address, hours, and ticket pricing. Parking was an absolute nightmare, even though we arrived an hour prior to the event start. We went under the impression there would be food trucks (since there was no information other than food available for purchase), but the food provided was high-school cafeteria grade. Plain burgers, hot dogs, basically pale white fries, and so on. Most of which inedible & over priced. The "alcoholic beverages" were budlight, Michelin ultra, and Budweiser.... No much variety even with Hoffman beverage as their alcoholic beverage provider. They had no other stands or activities, nothing to look at, pet, or enjoy. Now for the "big show". That was the most disturbing thing I have seen in the past 15 or so years. There is absolutely no reason to chase tiny, underweight, and terrified calves with fast horses. Lasso them & yanking them back by their neck, then tiring their feet and dragging them. What the actual heck!?!? Then riding horses that clearly don't want to be ridden, lassoing and riding other underweight bulls & calves, the animals let out some pretty gut wrenching noises. Me and my family left at 8:30 when the event didn't end till 10pm, we all agreed we couldn't sit and watch animals be tormented for human entertainment. Didn't realize rodeos are still barbaric. TLDR; don't waste you $20 per person tickets, food is trash & the show is all animal abuse. Also I am not a fan of being forced to pray several times a night, never again!

They are in the business of helping others in need instead of helping themselves to donations. They have a thrift store, they have a weekly food bank and on top of that they serve three meals daily to those that need it. Why anyone would leave less than 5 stars for a place that does so much good is beyond me. I'm sorry that they didn't have your favorite brand of Gucci purse in their shop but just realize that your money spent here is truly going to help people have a meal and feel just a little peace of mind by having some of life's simple necessities.

I only visited the coffeehouse side of the business a few years ago…read more I was there to see one of their Friday night concerts, and it was a great experience! The coffee was okay, I had 3 cups. The staff were very nice. The concert was wonderful. It's a very small venue. The thrift-half, I am not familiar with and this seems to be the only representation this place has on Yelp, so here's my review. I would return to check out the store side and to see another show if there's a good artist playing. Nice to see places and people of faith these days, and ones that are actually kind. They allowed me and my party to sit anywhere we liked and the coffee is free. I didn't try any of the food options, myself. They also record their concerts, so you can see them online later, if not from a regular upload, but also by request as well! Cool, intimate little music space and one day, I will go to the store and see what that's all about.

Bulk Shredding Service is offered at this Eggleston Service location. It is both professional &…read moreeconomical. In preparation for window installation, boxes of documents were found, obviously placed there by a former house cleaner without my knowledge.:( I've spent days going through the boxes to determine what needed to be shredded & what should be kept or discarded. Needless to say, I've been surrounded by boxes & bags, certainly a tripping hazard for me. Since Eggleston Shredding is only offered M-F until 2pm, it was important to take what I had today. The location is in a multipurpose building on N Military Highway next to their automobile auction lot. The business name is a misnomer sine there are multiple services offered at the location. One pulls their vehicle in front of the building under the 2nd covered drive through which is lined with bins similar in look & size to those used for garbage & recycling. I believe the first drive through may be for donations. You can fill up the entire bin for a flat $45 charge. I didn't know until today that there were smaller bins that have a $25 flat fee. The friendly & helpful employee behind the desk told me that next time I could come in & request the small bin. The documents are very secure as they wheel them back for shredding with a lock placed on the bin. After payment, which is only accepted by credit card, one is provided a Certificate of Destruction. Eggleston is a multi location non profit which specializes in providing individuals with job training in many professions. I highly recommend their bulk shredding services.

It's located in a fairly aged neighborhood so it's quite obvious that this center is fairly new. It looks the part and has a new look and feel to it. The reason for my visit to the NCC was to watch a local wrestling promotion one Friday evening. The event itself took place in the gym which is located toward the front of the facility so I didn't get a chance to tour the rest of the place. Upon first glance, it appeared to be well kept... that is until I walked into the bathroom. It may have been understaffed that evening because the bathroom appeared to be a wreck or just a lot of little kids making a mess. From what I read, this place is ran by the City of Norfolk. If you live nearby and want a bunch of amenities, here is what they offer: Art Room Basketball (indoor) Computer Room Dance Studio Fitness Room Game Room Gym Kiln Room Kitchen Locker Room Multipurpose Room Playground Water Splash Pad

Parking is really not that terrible. Service from all employees I have come in contact with have always been helpful. I have never had a bad run in. You will find some Bingo die hards. Some have their own table, with a whole elaborate set up. You will also come across various impatient people, and some will even get irritated at the bingo caller. But when you mentally push those individuals aside you will come across the people who are there having a good time. Bingo here can last until almost 11pm and sometimes later. It varies depending on how the night lays out. There is definitely some huge payouts and various amounts of pull tabs. The snack area is pretty good. You can't go wrong with a hot dog, chips, and a slice of cake. Pricing is very affordable. The staff in the snack area were efficient and kind. Overall it is a great time.
