There's no better feeling than drop-off time, when he reaches for the women at the front door, then turns around to wave goodbye to us with a huge smile. But Marlene's day care has been a great fit for our family and i am so happy that we found such a loving and kind place for our son to learn and grow. Her home is beautiful, very clean, and has all sorts of toys and activities for the kids. Her backyard has jungle gyms and play areas, all canopied by big beautiful trees. She has chickens that the kids can learn about and fruit trees that feed the kids during certain seasons. She feeds the kids organic foods and her home is very clean. I was nervous about finding a day care that would meet my preference of cleanliness and Marlene and her team definitely meet that expectation. My boys had both been with a private nanny their entire lives - and we were extremely nervous about transitioning them away from private home care and into a school environment. The Merryhill team was fantastic and so supportive during the transition. My youngest especially had a difficult time with the transition. The teachers were so patient and kind with his crying at drop off - and would provide us updates on how he was doing via the school app. I also really like how they have big windows into each classroom; I am able to watch my boys and see how happy they are in their classroom before they notice I am there to pick them up. Both of my boys absolutely adore their teachers (Ms. Lindsey, Ms. Liz, Ms. Nicole, and Ms. CeCe) and look forward to seeing their friends every day. Beyond my boys being comfortable and happy - they have also learned so much in their time at Merryhill. Nearly every day I'm surprised by something new they've learned - like my 4 year old learning how to count up to 100, count in tens, learning the months of the year, and starting to read. My youngest learns new words every day, has learned his colors, how to count to ten, and is learning important social skills (like how to share). We feel very fortunate to have found this school and have already re-enrolled them both for next year.

He has since made his way up through several different classrooms and will be starting TK in the fall. His current teacher Racquel is absolutely incredible. It's easy to see how passionate she is about child development and how much she genuinely loves and cares about each of her students. While we will miss her dearly, she is has done so much to prepare him for TK and beyond, and we couldn't be more grateful! Since our youngest started a little earlier, we got to meet a new room of toddler teachers who impressed us so much from day one (Kenzi, Izabelle & Yer). Our daughter wasn't quite walking yet, but they had her up and running within weeks. She often had a hard time with goodbyes in the morning, but the teachers always helped me feel at ease and I knew she would be in great hands. I feel like we were truly spoiled. Beyond out kids' individual classroom experiences, I think the school as a whole is run very well. Unfortunately, the reason we ultimately decided to leave was because we no longer felt our children were safe. We had ongoing concerns regarding repeated aggressive behavior involving the same student. From our perspective, the school's ownership and management did not adequately address the situation despite multiple incidents and conversations. We tried to be part of the solution. We met with the owner, Dee, and even offered to personally pay for a behaviorist to come to the school and provide professional support. We also suggested creating a resource board to help connect families with behavioral specialists and other services. Instead, we learned that the student was being moved between classrooms rather than the situation being effectively resolved. On one particularly upsetting day, our son was physically hurt four separate times. To our knowledge, no child was sent home as a result. Initially, Lisa led us to believe that the problem might have been specific to the relationship between this child and our son. However, after speaking with other parents, we learned that other families had experienced similar concerns. I was also personally told by a teacher about a serious incident involving that student and a staff member. After these experiences, we began visiting the school more frequently and reducing the amount of time our children spent there whenever possible. Once our new school opened, we were finally able to move them. The reason I am still giving this school 4 stars is because of the TEACHERS. There are some truly wonderful people working there, and they deserve recognition. Ms. Corina -- what an amazing human being. Thank you for everything you did for our family. Ms. Monique -- our baby girl received so much love from you, and we will always appreciate it. Ms. Morgan -- thank you for all the love you gave our children. Ms. Vanessa -- thank you for teaching our kids so much and caring for them with so much love. Ms. Michelle and Ms. Mai -- thank you for all your efforts and everything you did for our children. And to Kim and Sam at the front desk -- thank you for your kindness, professionalism, and for greeting us with a smile every day. Our criticism is directed toward the way management handled our safety concerns, not toward the wonderful teachers who cared for our children. Lastly, in our experience, the school is significantly overpriced considering the student-to-teacher ratios and the level of services provided. We are grateful for the teachers who loved and cared for our children, but as parents, safety has to come first.

Our daughter Harlow attended Goddard from age 2 to 4. We were so scared to have anyone watch her. Goddard is the best decision we ever made for her.. for our family. Every teacher and office staff cares about your child and treats them like their own. Mrs Kim and Sam in the front office are always dressed up in costumes participating with different themes and events. There were times Harlow would have bad days in the morning being so little and they would fix them. Goddard is always decorated and they do so many fun activities with the kids! They do parties, holiday events, train rides, music mat, soccer, kona ice, yoga, trunk or treat, book fairs, picture days, water days, a Christmas recital and so much more. So much thought, energy and time goes into everything they do. Goddard leaves no one out, every culture and family is celebrated. The communication at the school is fantastic. They communicate with an app and send pictures daily.Even their snacks are amazing. Harlow never wanted to leave when we would pick her up. She always had new art to show us. Their curriculum is top tier. Harlow grew so much accodemicaly. Mrs Tabatha is why Harlow is potty trained and took naps. She thought her to share and start to read. Harlow loves her and has a picture she drew her up on our fridge. I wish we could keep her there forever. I cried when we moved her to public school this year. You get what you pay for.
