You can sit outdoors and listen to the fantastic waves on the beach, enjoy the folks walking on the board walk, and enjoy the sea air. You can also sit inside in the nicely decorated indoor space. I am not normally a fan of hotel restaurants but this place had exceptional food and great service. It was the best thing we ate in Bethany Beach. The fried whole fish was delicious but the take away stand out dish was the beet salad and the crab soup. Those were must haves. The strawberry cheesecake was also delicious and served Luke even gave us extra whipped cream to serve to our dog. Exceptional serve 5 paws!

The Bethany beach ocean suites (owned by Marriott) are located in the heart of Bethany beach with views of the water. It is a decent place to stay for a few days with a great location. However, the cost of over $600/night is absolutely absurd given the dismal service, lack of cleanliness and general lack of anything resembling luxury. We called before we came and were told the pool was closed. However they noted beach towels were available and beach chairs and umbrellas would be available daily starting at 8am. When we arrived we found no beach towels were available (except for purchase). We clearly own beach towels and would have brought them had we not been misinformed. We were also told upon arrival that the beach chairs aren't available until 10 AM. However I decided to ask the actual chair and umbrella employees who informed me that the start time was actually 9 AM. The front desk didn't seem to care (or note) that they were repeatedly given out false information. With young kids, that hour makes a difference. The lobby bathrooms were poorly maintained (trash on the floors, dirty toilet seats, and no toilet paper to be seen). The breakfast had a vast variety of foods but they were rarely restocked so you weren't able to actually enjoy many of them. Coffee ran out multiple times. Also flies ruled the school at the buffet. The floors were sticky and it is very clear that the hotel is understaffed (oh, and the staff talk to you about it...incessantly) Covid has changed the game for many businesses but unfortunately the Marriott is nowhere near what is should be.

Left a review for a home in Rodanthe, NC and when I checke on it, Vacasa only posted the positive…read morecomments. Seemed very misleading. Rented a beach house right on the ocean, which was great, but there were a lot of issues with the home. The pool was constantly full of sand and it was very dirty when we arrived. The pool serviceman didn't clean it until the next day, so we lost a day using it. Also, the pool serviceman told us he would be back to clean it again midweek, and on Wednesday, he hadn't showed, and we had to call Vacasa for service to clean it and it took until midday Thursday for it to be cleaned again. Big problem of ants in the house. We arrived and found ants on the kitchen counter. Throughout our stay, we repeatedly found ants in the kitchen (including cabinets and the microwave), and in bedrooms and bathrooms, floors, etc. throughout the house. They were everywhere in the house. We had to buy ant spray and additional ant traps in order to keep deal with them. The beach area right behind the house is very small (assume due to erosion), and while we were there, a lot of debris (wood beams, metal wires, concrete blocks) washed up right on the beach in front of the house. The amount of wood and wires laying on the beach made it a safety hazard and practically impossible to use the beach. People from the town came to check it out, bt now one removed it. Additionally, the beach sand was very dirty (black) for some reason. We basically could not use the beach by our house during our stay. Finally, the house was not cleaned well before we arrived. We found dirt/track under furniture. Don't think I will use Vacasa again.

We stayed from the end of May into the beginning of June for 7 days. All of these 7 days that we were in this room, we had no air conditioning. We notified them the morning after we got there as we got there late at night and noticed it wasn't working and it was very hot in the room. We notified maintenance and spoke to the property manager , he talked down to my husband as if we didn't know how to use central a c unit he then said they would send someone emergency. They never sent anyone and no one ever came the entire trip and then we went to the front office when we checked out and complained about it. And they told us that the property manager wrote something different in his notes and said that he had been by and fixed it, but no one had ever come. My older parents were in the room almost the entire trip. Having to stay out on the balcony in order to be in the area as it was unbearable in the room. It was over 80° for 5 days, straight out of our 7 day trip, we called multiple times and tried to get help multiple times and no one has done anything everyone keeps passing it off on the next website. Or group that needs to handle it, everyone keeps saying that the property manager is the one that needs to determine if they will even look at giving us a partial refund for the trip. We've heard nothing back. I Think that this company needs to be reminded that the law in maryland is that starting June 1st There has to be working AC in rental properties and it cannot go above I believe 79 or 80° in the room. It stayed above 80°, 5 days straight that we were there from June 1st all the way until the fifth, when we left, I even took pictures, and we showed it to them and they still did not listen. The blinds were broken on the balcony. When we got there, the screen for the balcony was also broken. We had to keep the doors shut because they told us not to vent the room and we had small children that we did not want accessing the balcony without permission with the broken screens. My husband and I have been bounced around from person to person trying to figure out who to talk to and everyone keeps putting it off on someone else that they need to handle it and not the person we're talking to, we keep getting dismissed and no one has handled anything we want, at least a partial refund. Because the trip was absolutely unbearable in the actual room. Not to mention that the toilet in the guest bathroom was not even bolted to the floor my elderly father almost fell off the toilet. We also noticed that there were ant traps all over the property. I guess they were trying to keep the ants away. We still did see some, but it also is summertime and most likely and not people were not staying in the property during the fall and winter. That's understandable, however, what isn't understandable, is not having AC working properly and then having a property manager that lies about coming to fix property. As I said before, my elderly parents were there in the property.Almost the entire time and no one came to fix anything. In addition to that, the day before we left, the lights went out in the kitchen and we notified that of that as well when we left. If we could have canceled and just got our money back or found somewhere else to stay, we would have done that. But being as it was through a third party rental property management company, we have just been bounced around with no solutions and no resolution. I would hope that someone would reach out after this, this is ridiculous in our opinion. Do not stay here.

We were upgraded to a 2-room suite at no additional charge the day before checking in which was nice. Our room was very large, a living room with a built-in bar kitchenette area on the wall with a small fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. I liked how the living room was its own separate but connected part of the room - a nice sectional couch near the sliding glass door and sunset views. Both the living room and bedroom had WiFi TV with access to streaming services which I'm hoping will be a Hilton-wide requirement for properties soon. The bedroom was also very spacious and the bathroom was large with room for activities. Overall - I really liked this property and it will be one I look up when staying in and around OC.

Knowing the bar and restaurant were opening at 4 PM, we decided to get some wine and relax by the fireplace in the beautiful lobby. Before you know it, the place got full - Ken in the bar was running food and drinks nonstop - he was awesome. We had a warm, peaceful night's sleep in the comfy beds and, who do we see when we went to the lobby restaurant for breakfast? Ken! Still there working his butt off. We planned on using the gym, but had a great time meeting and talking with other Fenwick neighbors instead. Even though it had just snowed, we had to go to the roof bar to scope it out for the summertime. The pool looks inviting too! Fenwick Shores made what could have been a tough situation (no electricity) into something very enjoyable, and we are deeply appreciative.

I understand that South Bethany beach is awesome because I've been renting houses here for years…read more The problem is the companies who manage the rental properties. They would make you think that the home owners of the properties they manage are terrible people that have no interest in maintaining their own homes. In just over two weeks of staying in the same house this summer they didn't repair a broken toilet, bring the appropriate light bulbs for the bathroom, offer any compensation for a bedroom that flooded twice during our trip rendering it unusable for days, replace an empty gas tank for the grill, or repair dangerous bunk beds in the unusable swamp room. There maintenance staff is a full blown clown show that doesn't have an effectively communicating manager. How do I know this? I know this because every time some comes to the house they don't know why they have been dispatched to the house. The bottom line is try and find a house rented by the owner directly so if you have a problem you can contact someone who cares, not resort quest who has a ton of properties and don't care if you ever rent from them again.

If you move your reservation to a later date- high season- you have to pay the rates instead of them just working with you. Many times in the case of a declaration of emergencies, rentals will move you to a later date without charging you extra. This organisation only cares about the bottom dollar.
