The environment was fun though, lots of space and tables. Service: The service was good, friendly and attentive. Food: the gelato was delicious. Decent price for the size of the sundae which was huge, definitely large enough for 2 people to split. The strawberry gelato was amazing, the soft serve on the top wasn't my favorite, took away from the sundae a bit. If I were to eat here again I would definitely order a waffle, those looked AMAZING.

It's colourful, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the place has an unbelievable selection of Artisan homemade ice cream and sorbets to choose from! As you probably know by now (because I think I might have mentioned it a couple of times in other reviews) I am Vegan and I was incredibly excited when I saw there were ten vegan sorbet flavours to choose from (TEN!) plus dark chocolate too... This is one of those awesome Ice Cream Parlours that lets you try any and every flavour you want to before committing to one (or two, or a few)! After sampling a couple of the sorbet flavours, I opted for peach sorbet scoop along with an incredibly indulgent scoop of the dark chocolate, with strawberries on top. I expected it to come in a little bowl (seeing as I ordered a "2 scoop" bowl for £3.79 + 49p for fresh strawberries) and was pretty blown away when I was greeted by magnificent lookin' thing! My peach and dark choc sorbet dessert cost me less than £4.30 in total, which I think is fairly reasonable as a treat. Jojo's Gelato would make a super cute place to go for a date, to catch up with old friends (like I did) or take the kids as a special treat! My (non Vegan) friends got incredible looking waffles with ice cream, fruit and whipped cream! I struggled to finish mine and couldn't even consider looking at the waffle dishes for too long, let alone eating them! The only thing I didn't enjoy about this place is that it was quite nippy, we were sat in there for about 1.5 hours so I really felt the chill.

Vanilla gelato swirls like whipped cream topped with two cookies and a cookie straw. Beneath the vanilla gelato is chocolate gelato, a banana, peanut butter, whipped cream, Oreos crumbles, and who knows what else is deeper than I could possibly ever venture. When they're combined into award-winning cakes, flans or tarts however, I find them pretty hard to resist. Yesterday for example, I popped into Cocoa to grab a coffee and pain au chocolat for the train and ended up leaving with a meringue and a bag of pastel coloured macaroons. Both were so damn deeeeeelicious that I'm already planning to go back and sample some of the other deserts on offer. Next time, I might start with a Raspberry and Passion Fruit Delice or a Slow Cooked Apple Tart followed by a slice of Tiger Cake or Coffee and Walnut Cake. The thing I've been dreaming about however, is Cocoa's Vanilla and Raspberry Eclairs.

Sadly in the morning once I woke up i didnt have an appetite but I still went to check it out. Since I didnt have an appetite I was deciding on whether I should grab tea or something sweet instead of plain coffee so I ordered myself a mocha which was very tasty. I didnt feel like eating anything so i ordered the breakfast smoothie so I can drink that while on the way to the airport. They didnt have wifi there but it was ok since I still had alot of data and had my kindle so that I can read a bit. The place is really roomy, enough tables and seats plus great decorations on the walls. Really wanted to try the sweet potato hash though but maybe another time if I ever come back to Brighton.

It opened in the summer when many similar businesses seem to be closing at a rapid rate, but this one has staying power my friends! Its nearly always bursting at the seams but the lovely owner will do her best to accommodate everyone. It has an amazing selection of cakes, all homemade, as well as a fine selection of teas and a limited lunch menu including homemade soups, cheese and eggs on toast etc. I had a lovely ginger tea which complemented to delicious carrot cake amazingly well, and surely un-did some of the damage, right? The carrot cake was full of nuts and raisons, as well as carrot obviously, and deliciously moist, and the cream cheese topping was sweet and creamy - an amazing combination. The decor was delightful too - a mish-mash of old and new, beautiful crockery, and table decorations including an amazingly kitsch cat shaped lamp that I really wanted to steal! Many of the items seemed handmade, including the ceiling decoration made of old-fashioned kitchen utensils. Really nice details and a comfortable bygone-era tea shop feel. Alongside dozens of food stalls selling chocolate related products, there was chocolate demonstrations and masterclasses. My favourite bit however, had to be eating all the free samples and discovering wonderful new chocolatiers like William Curley and Damien Allsop. Keep your eyes peeled to the website to check out when the next festival will be.

However, despite the questionable location Farm have chosen, this place is fantastic. Being next to Bill's is a big gamble, but I would certainly be tempted to come here over their more illustrious neighbour. Selling a variety of locally sourced goods, including roast meat sandwiches and fresh coffee, roasted in nearby Hove. I hope Farm does succeed in staying in business, because they really do offer a fantastically modern and cosmopolitan, organic meal.

They use local and organic produce, and locally made bread and they have a seasonal menu, meaning their dishes change according to which vegetables are in season. The décor reflects this ethos- it feels homey and earthy, if a little contrived- but in fairness it would be hard to create a totally authentic farm café in the middle of Brighton! I think they've done quite well- the sandwiches are really fresh and delicious and the bread is really nice. They have soups and other winter warmers too. Every time I've walked past, it has been packed. Perhaps this will be the café to give nearby Bill's a run for their money? When I started working in London I finally had a chance to try Leon. Billed as "naturally fast…read morefood" I was still shocked to find how much of their menu is gluten free. Including the desserts. I loved it so much that I excitedly tweeted to them that I would singlehandedly keep a restaurant open in Brighton. And they replied to me telling me to wait. Well... the wait is over! Today I was invited to the opening of the new Leon Restaurant in Brighton which replaces Eat. I think this is a brilliant swap as Eat was far too similar to its neighbour Pret. But Leon is quite different in that it offers warm, hearty food. Setting up just before winter is also probably a good move. The decor is really nice and chilled out. They make good use of the space which I've previously found a bit dark and claustrophobic. Katy and I were greeted by some of the nice workers at Leon and told we could each choose a meal and drink to have on the house. We both went for the Moroccan Meatballs (on my recommendation). I had a lemonade to drink and Katy went for a green smoothie. We also picked up a few sweet treats: my favourite lemon and ginger slice and a billionaire shortbread for Katy. The meatballs are my favourite so I knew I would like them, but Katy had never been to a Leon and she loved it as well. She began talking about how close it is to her work and how she will be able to pop in on breaks for a relatively healthy and warm meal. We also tried searching for the menu online and a sneaky link to Deliveroo popped up. So we're hoping they're going to be one of our delivery options soon.
