The saleswoman (don't know her name) was EXCELLENT! She really was a pro - she provided great recommendations for what fit my face, the best colors for my skin tone, etc., almost instantly from looking at me! Could not recommend this store more! And the frames (made in Italy, of course) were SO much less expensive than back in the U.S.!

Not expecting such a great shop to be open on New Year's Eve, I almost walked right by. Making a mental note to come back and look at their wool hats, I realised it was open. We entered and were immediately greeted warmly by the kindest woman. Specialising in organic and locally made items, there was no doubt in our minds the product would be exceptional. Many items are handmade, and the quality of everything was exquisite. Though I would have loved to buy everything, I settled on a hand knit wool hat and a pair of socks, while my husband chose a pair of wool boot socks. They are sublime, and of course, perfect for winter weather. I'm sure my week in Florence will result in at least one more trip to Stile Biologico. The lovely woman at Guidoreni got her fixed up with a pair of readers - offering several for testing - in less than five minutes, for a price of €25! There were several styles to choose from, so my friend left feeling much better that she'd be able to actually read over the next two weeks, and also that she'd found something with a bit of style! This is a chain with many locations throughout Florence, and I can't speak to the service overall. But this location, right by the duomo, was friendly, fast, and efficient... even spoke enough English to make up for our limited Italian! Highly recommended!

After what seemed like 10 minutes, she even apologized. Prices are about the same back home but there was a silly $25 Euro per lens fitting fee. At least she gave me another gorgeous shammy to clean my glasses; smart how it lists all of their locations, another great marketing piece.
