2021-04-05 I'm glad to report that following placement of my order yesterday, everything went very smoothly and my flowers were delivered with no problems. It looked fine, if a bit small. I was glad that one hour before the service, I received an e-mail to advise that my flowers had been delivered. I also received e-mails along the way to advise that my order was being processed the day before, and I also received my receipt right away. If I need remote delivery again, I won't hesitate to use them again. read more

I made the mistake of placing my order before reading these reviews... Never again. The order was placed well in advance in time for Valentines Day. The flowers never showed up. I tried contacting the company via phone and e-mail several times throughout the day just for a status update, but I guess they don't have a single person working the phones or handling any sort of customer questions. I waited and waited and waited and the bouquet simply never arrived. I've followed up several times the next day and have still not heard anything. Based on the reviews below, these guys clearly do not care at all with how they impact Valentines Day for anyone else. I'd highly recommend looking for another Florist before making the same mistake I did. read more

Same as the other reviewers wrote. Nothing makes valentines day special like paying extra for guaranteed delivery time, $150 in total for flowers, and then nothing. 1. The flowers never showed up. 2. Nobody called me to tell me that they wouldn't show up. 3. When I called 3 times in the days following valentines day, I was told "a manager" needs to call you back. Nobody ever called me back. 4. A week later and I've been told a credit has been issued, nothing on the credit card as of yet. 5. No apology, no acknowledgement. 6. If the special days are so busy, figure out how much you can sell and mark things as sold when you've hit your limit. It's a shame that this company has such a good domain name, I definitely would not recommend them to anyone. Learned my lesson will go to a store myself next year. read more

Wow! Shocked to see these negative reviews (I didn't check yelp before my purchase). I was floored by how amazing my experience was. I ordered some sympathy flowers for my sister online and I was amazed that even though I placed my order at 10PM the night before they were delivered before NOON the next day. The picture my sister sent me of the flowers blew me out of the water! They looked incredible, even better than the website picture and were reasonably priced at $67 for a gorgeous bouquet AND delivery. There website is so easy to use, and they except E-transfer which is UNHEARD of and amazing :) They also take Paypal (which I LOVE). Would definitely use them again in the future! read more

I ordered flowers yesterday for Valentine's Day. No acknowledgement of order. Not answering phone and voicemail was full. NEVER DELIVERED. No replies to my emails. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM AGAIN. This company is the worst!!!! We've had issues with them in the past as well - just not this bad. Stay far far away from this one. UPDATE: Feb 15th - 8PM. They called 20 minutes ago, apologized and had the nerve to ask if I still wanted the flowers. Told them to shove it and refund me in full. DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! UPDATE: Feb 26th. They said they'd refund on the 15th and it still hasn't been done. I am going to do a chargeback on my credit card tomorrow and encourage everyone that is still having trouble to do the same. This company took over three weeks to respond to my review. One would think that based on a somewhat negative but honest review, a reputable company would respond immediately. Yes, Ottawa Flowers did send out a replacement arrangement. An arrangement that was very ordinary and without any composition at all. In fact it looked like it was hurried and quickly shipped out. It was better than the original and we appreciate that but still very ordinary, not something one would expect from a so called reputable florist. I Bought a flower for mothers day 4days ahead! and she never received my flower. I even called the shop and left voice mail, and went to website and wrote about my order way before but no reply what so ever. Horrible customer service. This shop supposedly have all this great awards ?? but one of the worst services, I mean literally no services at all. Don't use this company its awful. Today suppose to be happy mothersday :(. I should have read all the negative reviews before ordering....they were ALL true...what's the worst nightmare.imagineable???...for your loved one not to recive their Valentine roses! Not only not received but no phone call informing of no delivery. The day following, my telephone call was totally ignored and 2 hours later after reaching an agent, they said "sorry we had delivery problems" big deal, explain that one to your beloved. This place should not be in buisiness and banned for life from running one! Very efficient at charging my credit card. Not so much with the delivery. Ordered mother's day flowers for my wife's first mother's day. Ordered them 4 days prior to delivery day. Nobody from the shop picks up the phone or returns messages. I get an automated e-mail stating the driver had the flowers at 4pm. It's now 8pm and still no delivery....tried to contact the driver and no response. The flowers were finally delivered at 8:45pm. In their defense, I did pick the anytime option. As such, they did honour the delivery date and the final product was to my wife's satisfaction. Unfortunately, mother's day was over. It appears this is a recurring issue with this company on holidays based on previous reviews. read more

Do not give these people your credit card number! I ordered a plant ($80) in August, my card was charged immediately. The plant was never received. After numerous calls in which I was told it would just be another week, I finally gave up and cancelled the order. I was told it would take three days to credit my card. That never happened. Another call to cancel, told the same story. A week goes by, card never credited. A third call and was told they would call me right back after they talked to the accountant. That never happened. I think they hope you will just give up so they can keep your money. Don't do business with these people! edit: Finally got my money back after posting a negative Google review. I ordered a same day flower delivery from this store based on all the accolades and good reviews. On my invoice, I noticed that the delivery had been pushed to the following day. I called the store and was told that I had missed the cut off time for same day delivery. Ok, no problem, I cancelled my order - or so I was told. The next day my order still hadn't been cancelled and I called the store to see what was happening. They claimed that there had been no cancellation, and no notes on my order about a cancellation. The manager told me the delivery was on it's way, but "I'll see what I can do". Keep in mind that I cancelled my order an hour after it had been processed, and 20 hours before it was then delivered, a reasonable amount of time for something like this to be cancelled. Well, no phone call back, flowers were delivered, my card had been charged, and my emails remain unanswered/ignored. Mistakes happen, but don't treat your customers poorly or try to cover up bad business practices. Teach your employees a proper procedure. To add insult to injury, my phone call with the manager infuriated me to the extreme. He questioned why I had to have my flowers delivered the day before. I'll tell you why - it's because... none of your bloody business. I don't want a negotiation and customer expectation management, I want the action that was promised to happen. And then taking the position that you are doing me a favor after one of your employees made a mistake? I don't appreciate being treated like an ignoramus. Needless to say I will never purchase flowers from here again, and the second star is given to be fair, as the flowers (though not exactly as depicted) were nicely arranged and looked fresh. read more

Worst service ever. Total scam.... I ordered flowers for my mother to be delivered before 4pm on Valentine's Day. I called after 4 to confirm delivery and they advised that the flowers were not yet delivered and that they were on their way (my mothers office closes at 5 so they advised they would rush). The next morning , I called as they were never delivered and was told that a manager would call me back with options. After hearing nothing by 2pm I called again demanding what was going on with my order, why it was not delivered and why no one was getting back to me. The service agent assured me that they would upgrade my bouquet, throw in a box of chocolates and refund me the delivery charge. I agreed and requested that she send me email confirmation of the order update. They ended up delivering the flowers right as my mothers office was closing and of course no upgrade whatsoever to my order as promised. It's been over a week now and still no refund charged for the delivery. Ottawa Flowers are extremely unprofessional. They have no problem accepting your money and not following through with their service. There is no excuse for not even contacting your customer to advise of a service delay. I could have made alternate plans to still ensure my mother would receive a Valentine's gift on actual Valentine's Day.They're the worst!!!! read more

Edit 2/21/15 On the 17th, I called them and was able to sort the situation out. Apparently the order was placed as "pick-up". Long story short, they sent the flowers out right away with an apology note. And the customer rep seemed sincere. For that, an extra star. I ordered some roses from these guys on Valentine's Day. My girlfriend never received her flowers. But that was not the only thing that made my experience awful. 1. Hard to contact. They never pick up their phone. And when they finally did, I asked what happened to the flower. Their response? "We are going to need to check up on it and get back to you". Gets my order number and never calls back. 2. No notice. They did not notify me or anyone that the product has not been delivered. It's really unprofessional and unfair to the customers, who rely on their professionalism to make our lives easier and better. 3. Useless order number. I can't use it on the website, it's not found. And nobody ever seems to be around Chatbox to help out, nor on the phone. This is horrible customer service. I still haven't heard anything from them yet. read more

Will never be using this service again. Atrocious communication skills, between unanswered phone calls to emails. If you had a problem with your delivery consider it lost money, you had basically just made a donation. I had ordered a bouquet for Valentines day with specific instructions to deliver during business hours (before 4pm). Two days later still no sign of flowers or interest in keeping customers happy. When finally getting in contact with Ottawa Flowers, instead of owning up to their mistake and apologizing they tried to blame my fiance for not being in the right place or picking up her phone for the delivery to be arranged, and failing that blaming the delivery driver (which they hired). This is a completely unreasonable and unprofessional way to conduct business. I can't comment on the quality of the flowers as they were never received. Heed my warning, use another florist. read more

I trusted this company to create a bouquet based on my written and verbal requests and to deliver on time and without fuss. I was wrong and I will never order from Ottawa Flowers again because it was the worst flower service I have ever experienced. I ordered on a Tuesday morning, and even spoke to the driver about delivering to a neighbour if my friend was not home. The next day, Ottawa Flowers called to tell me it would be another 18 dollars (on top of the outrageous 75 i already paid) to try delivering again. I refused, because as it turns out, they never actually went to the right address. After some back and forth, I was told that the driver actually couldn't find the address. In the meantime, someone from the company called me to let me know that I could just have my friend pick the flowers up herself! Who would do that?! The next day, they still didn't deliver the flowers. They said they went, but again, they never did. There was someone home, and of course, there are neighbors. It must have been that they couldn't find the address once again. By the third day, I decided to ask to speak to their general manager, Pavel. I left Pavel a very specific voicemail. I explained the situation and asked that they at least deliver fresh flowers. Not a 3 day old bouquet. I also spoke with a customer service representative and she said she agreed with me but would have to call me back about my request. She didn't, and neither did Pavel. Instead, I received a message hours later saying they delivered the flowers and were sorry for any inconvenience. If I wanted flowers delivered on Thursday, I would have ordered on Thursday. My friend was brought into this and even complained to me about the driver being loud and rude when he called her. As well, not only were the flowers not fresh, the bouquet was not what I requested and it was unprofessional looking as it clearly wasn't assembled by a professional florist. read more

I was a satisfied repeat customer until this past Christmas. I was out of town and ordered a flower arrangement that was guaranteed to be delivered Christmas eve for my 95 year old mother. It never arrived. Not the 24th or 25th. In fact it didn't arrived until the 3rd of January. I was never even able to reach them via email or by phone. No response by email and no answer on the telephone. No return call. I will never use this service again. I felt so bad when I talked to my mom on Christmas day and the flowers had not arrived. I was very disappointed in this company. Delivery arrived almost 10 hours after the promised time with no prior warning that it could be late or call from the company to update on status. It was a busy day, so I can understand the issues with volume, but there's a responsibility on the part of the company to inform buyers that they could miss the delivery time dramatically. I had to contact them myself to change the delivery location away from my wife's work so that the flowers wouldn't be left sitting outside her building overnight. Additionally, the product was not as pictured on the website and was disappointing in both size and the choice of vase (which was far more impressive online). I wrote to the company on the following day to politely explain my issues, but the e-mail was ignored. read more

Their delivery person thought it'd be OK to leave potted plants in my outdoor mail box in late December. I called twice to speak to a manager and was never contacted. It kind of seems like a lot of these bad reviews are planted. I just worked with Pavel and Ottawa Flowers for my wedding after literally all of my married friends and cousins used Ottawa Flowers for their own weddings. I'm Middle Eastern so believe me when I say that I go to weddings almost professionally. Of the weddings I've attended, most of the gorgeous flower arrangements, bouquets, etc. I've seen have been from Pavel. Even besides that, my husband and I are in a long-distance relationship and he's always been able to send me BEAUTIFUL arrangements with no problems. I felt confident going in to see him and I was not let down. Pavel is very honest. Let's start with that. I had really grand ideas of what I wanted my wedding to be (before budget realities hit me like a truck) and Pavel kept telling me that I could have a luxurious wedding without spending as much as I kept insisting on. When I finally gave him a number and told him my colours and preferred look, Pavel blew me away. I remember when I walked down the aisle, before I could see my husband (I didn't wear my glasses), the Church took my breath away. I had people coming up to me all night telling me how beautiful the flowers were. When I got to the reception venue, I couldn't help but hug him when I saw him arranging the centrepieces. My bouquet was exquisite, as were my two bridesmaids' bouquets. My husband also sent me a bouquet to the house on the morning of and it was STUNNING. From the quality and freshness of the 200 white roses to the beautiful artsy vase, I was in shock at how much attention Pavel and his designers paid to our tastes. My wonderful family members also sent me arrangements to the house in the morning, as did my in-laws, and all seven arrangements were stunning, unique, and classy. I had tears in my eyes because my family was so generous and Pavel was too, with his design and his understanding of what I like. From what I've gathered from my friends and family, all they did is call him, say it was for me, and he made sure everything was in my preferred colour scheme and it all used my preferred flowers. Most of my guests on my husband's side were from out-of-town and my mother-in-law called me while I was at the salon the morning of the wedding asking for more corsages and boutonnieres. I texted Pavel literally in the salon chair with orders and he handled it all, including delivery. I didn't have to worry about anything at all. Pavel took care of it. Anyone who's ever planned a wedding can appreciate how appreciated it is that a vendor takes care of things without needing to be babysat and handheld. I got married on November 19, 2017. Look up the weather on that day: it was DISGUSTING. It was the day of our only snowstorm thus far. However, you would not be able to tell. All my orders came on time, they were delivered to Church and then to the venue in time, and you could not tell at all that the weather was gross and uncooperative. Pavel is a damn professional. He really made my wedding stand-out. I always thought I didn't like flowers--that was before I saw what Pavel and his designers could do! Even before the day, any time I'd go to see him as the date approached, he was so excited and happy. He knew I was going through some wedding-related stresses and he always had a smile on his face. Believe it or not, Pavel got me excited for my wedding before anyone else did. He has an infectious excitement and a relaxing confidence that put me at ease. I went from taking a thousand inspiration pictures to him to just shooting him texts like, "My mother-in-law wants a corsage for her sister: can you get it to the hotel? White and pretty?" I never needed to see it or approve it. He literally always knew what to do. A lot of vendors will try to take advantage of you when you're planning a wedding but Pavel is honest, confident, kind, and professional. I haven't stopped raving about him and neither have my guests and the family and friends who sent me day-of arrangements. I can't wait to work with him again. read more

Ordered flowers for Mother's Day. The flowers were never delivered and a month later we are still waiting for our credit card to be credited. The worst of it all is the non-existent communication. Phone calls brought nothing other than empty reassurances that this was being taken care of. No response to attempts to contact from their web-site. No response to emails. Interestingly they were very efficient about charging the card - that was done the day after the order - without ever having delivered the flowers. read more

Terrible Customer Service. I placed an order on Mother's Day before their 4pm cut off. I used the Interac Email Transfer option. I received an email confirmation stating that the order was confirmed. A few minutes later, I called the office and spoke to a guy and got confirmation that my order was on the truck for delivery. An hour and half later, I call the office again and Danielle mentioned that since they did not receive the email money transfer at 4:30pm, they did not delivery my flowers. No one called me or sent an email stating that my item would not be delivered. In fact, that was the complete opposite from what I was told verbally by the male employee. Disorganized. Rude. I ordered flowers for my mom on Wednesday, to be delivered Friday. Got the confirmation on the website, but no e-mail. On Saturday I had a voicemail message from Ottawa Flowers saying that my order was on hold because payment was not received. Would have been nice to know that on Thursday, but notwithstanding you can't order something online without paying for it, or at least confirming the validity of your credit card. I called back and spoke to someone who sounded like she'd rather be doing anything else in the world than answering the phone. I explained that I'd received a voicemail saying that my payment hadn't been received. The woman checked in the ordering system and said it "looks like it went through okay." Then she said, "I see that it's scheduled for delivery on [the day before] and then, without a pause or an apology, asked me if I minded them being delivered that day. Now, when you order flowers, they're for an occasion that occurs on the day you ask for them to be delivered. A wedding, funeral, anniversary, birthday--all things that, if you miss acknowledging, you end up looking like you don't care. So if you're a florist, you don't miss the delivery date and then act like it's no big deal and offer to deliver them the next day. Who's wedding or funeral will they arrive at? Anyway, this company has three big problems. Firstly, the staff are suffering from extremely low morale. Buying flowers is like booking a clown--you don't expect the salesperson on the phone to be all bummed out when you call. Secondly, they have a major IT problem. The online ordering system doesn't work well, or... Lastly, the staff are not properly trained to use the ordering system, deal with clients nor understand what the flower business is all about. At the end of my call, I asked if I would receive a discount for the missed delivery and the woman said she would have to speak with her manager. I said please do, and she replied, "Okay, thank you." Then the line went dead! I don't even know if my flowers will ever be delivered. What a bizarre experience. Next time I'll have them delivered from Quebec where people understand business and hospitality. read more
