I was very disappointed with the way I was treated during my visit. Otobia seemed rushed and did not take the time to properly address my concerns, which left me feeling discouraged and unheard. I was also uncomfortable when I was asked to completely remove my top and stand uncovered during the examination without a nurse present. In my experience with other dermatologists, patients are typically provided with a sheet or covering for privacy and comfort. Overall, I found the experience unprofessional, and the bedside manner from both her and the staff was lacking. I did not feel welcomed, respected, or fully informed about all of my options regarding my skin concerns. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this practice to others seeking compassionate and professional care. read more

Dr. Dimson is the best dermatologist we have known. She does a complete skin exam that even includes between the toes. My husband and I both go to her. She has sent us to a MOHS specialist for addition excision of problems from my husband's neck and ear. Dr. Dimson called us herself to tell us the results of the specimen she took. The referral was to another excellent place. We are lucky to have found Dr. Dimson! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Dimson for years. She diagnosed my son's rash when he was a toddler after another dermatologist told me it was acne. She even brought the medical book out to show me what he had. It was way worse than acne. I've been seeing her since. She diagnosed my lip cancer and my mother and grandmother's melanoma quickly. She is extremely nice, as is her staff. I hate going for my 6 month check because she checks all of my skin. However, she is always pleasant with me. I will continue to refer her and see her myself. She knows her stuff! read more

I was a patient of Dr Dimson's for nine years. I saw all the bad reviews and heard many stories about her yelling at patients, kicking people out of her office, and the like...but since she didn't do that to ME, I dismissed it and thought people were too thin-skinned and, after all, I wasn't looking for a friend but a doctor. Since I became her patient when I had MRSA on my face and couldn't get in to any other dermatologist for months, I was grateful that she had openings immediately. Now I know why that is. Over the years, I sent my husband and three kids to her, and recommended her to numerous friends. She spotted and removed two pre-cancerous skin cancer spots during that time. Several times over those nine years, I would hear her berate her staff in front of patients and also overheard her staff talking about conversations and hateful texts they had received from her. It's obvious that they are insecure because they never know what's coming next from her. Still, I ignored it because it didn't involve me. I saw her every six months and more often if anything suspicious dictated a need. On two different occasions she said really unprofessional stuff about her staff to me. One of those times, she actually walked in my exam room shaking her head, slammed the door, and said "I hate my staff". Again, I made excuses and chalked it up her to having a bad day. Then, in November 2019, I had something show up that looked eerily similar to the MRSA on my face nine years earlier. I got in to see her and she treated me for it. One short month later, December 2019, the early signs of another similar spot showed up. I would have waited it out a few days except that I was headed out of the country later that week, so I got in to see her immediately. Before even looking at me, she walked into the exam room, and yelled at me, "every time you get a zit doesn't mean it's MRSA!" I told her I knew that and am pretty familiar with zits, but under the circumstances I thought I should have it checked out since I didn't want to figure it out in another country; after all, isn't contacting my dermatologist the proper protocol when something is suspicious? She got in my face, threw up her hands, and screamed "what do you want me to do about it?" I grabbed my purse and started for the door when she stepped between me and the door and said, "okay let's start over, let me take a look". She injected me with something that stung and noticed tears running down my face not from pain but from the experience and a lack of options available to me. She said "man, you're really upset, aren't you?" She prescribed something and I continued the visit without really speaking. As I left I stopped at the front desk and with a red face said to the ladies there, "she is crazy, I have read all her reviews and what people have said but since she never did it to me, I ignored it...but she's an f-in nut!" One said, "oh baby, I'm sorry". The looks on their faces told me they had seen this many times before. As I drove home, the phone rang and it was her. She said "my staff told me what you said and I want to tell you to ignore what you read online, everything is fine, you're my patient and I will help you". I pretty much stayed silent and let her say her piece but I knew I would never return. I immediately changed dermatologists because I knew what the wait situation was and have since seen a great one that has taken over my care. Then a month or so ago, she (not her staff) called me about my daughter needing a recheck and I told her in no uncertain terms that none of my family would ever be back to her and had moved all oour care elsewhere. I know a large part of this is my fault. I had the information, I saw all the signs of how she treated and talked about others, but because it didn't affect me, I didn't really care. You have been warned. She will eventually turn on you. read more

Dr. Dimson MD is an excellent doctor and practice manager. She's been my doctor for over one year and I normally wait somewhere between five and 10 minutes and out the door within 30 minutes. Staff is friendly. I appreciate her timeliness and work ethic. Being in the medical industry I can appreciate a doctor that runs an office office well. When I call to get an appointment I normally can get in within a few days. read more

I personally will NEVER go here again. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the receptionists were very nice. The doctor here totally got off topic and completely trashed certain lifestyle choices of mine. I was visiting for a rash on my lips completely unrelated to anything she was trashing. And to make it even worse she was COMPLETELY wrong and misinformed about what she was speaking on regarding my choices. She based everything off her personal experience and said nothing factual or backed anything with facts. Simply blurting out her opinion due to a failed attempt at the same lifestyle. If you want to be a dietitian, go back to school to do so. In the meantime focus on the issues people visit for and do not EVER speak negatively from your own personal experience, and failure in this case, on what someone chooses to do with their lifestyle. This review is a long time coming. I'm writing it now, several years after being Dr. Dimson's patient, since I look back at my experiences with many doctors over the years, and hers stands out as being the worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional. I saw Dr. Dimson for acne, and she was prescribing me accutane. Her bedside manner was not good. As an example, one day I came into her office about half way through my accutane treatment, and she looked up at me and said "Look at your face, you're a mess!" Not exactly what someone struggling with acne needs to hear from their dermatologist.... She was very dismissive of my concerns and called me a worry-wart. Accutane is a very harsh drug and has since been pulled off the market, so I think that my concerns were completely valid. One visit I asked a some questions about accutane and my response to the drug. She became very hostile and defensive and told me to find another doctor! She grabbed me by the arm and abruptly escorted me out of the office. It was a terrible terrible experience. All for having concerns about a treatment that has since been pulled off the market. It ended up being a blessing because shortly after I found Dr. Paul Gillum who was absolutely wonderful!! Dr. Dimson told me on my first visit that she was the only dermatologist in OKC without a wait and she couldn't figure it out. Well, I figured it out. She is the rudest most non-compassionate doctor I've ever met. Moreover, I think she must lack self-confidence, and this is why she becomes so defensive when you ask her questions. Bottom line - DO NOT go to this doctor. read more

Dr. Dimson is an outstanding dermatologist. She is skilled and very caring. She is the only dermatologist I have been to who removed a growth on my face that did not leave a white spot. This lady knows what she is doing and how to do it to get the best result for her patient. read more

Dr Dimson has been my derm for about a year. My daughter visited her for acne issues and I have been seeing her to check on my skin issues. She is kind and has a great relationship with her patients. She talks to my teen as an adult and listens to her concerns. She never leaves until she has answered all our questions. read more

I should have posted this review over a year ago after my first appointment. Everything about Dr. Dimson is very professional including her staff. I've never waited more than 10 minutes to see her. She is thorough in her exam and I have her check over my entire body once a year since I have many moles and had a skin cancer scare several years ago. My prior skin doc never even looked at my back unless I had already seen something that had me worried. She even found a skin cancer on a friend's scalp within six months of him seeing his other doc. I am a new patient and made app't for 2 small spots that I was concerned about on my face. Dr. Dimson was very thorough, and did a full mole check (I had never done that) but due to my prolonged sun and tanning bed history was much needed. I was nervous prior to the visit, however her matter of fact manner and professionalism put me at ease.
