First, anyone who hasn't physically stepped into his office needs to go ASAP. He has two locations - one in Oak Lawn and one in Berwyn. Both are beautiful, but his Berwyn office is truly impressive. Massive TVs with fun movies playing, free arcade games (like Pac-Man!!!) to keep you occupied, and all the magazines your intellectual mind could desire. Now onto the staff. Everyone I've met at Dr. Tahir's offices is SO. NICE. People are always smiling, very patient, and clearly capable. I've never felt so pampered before when I visit a doctor's office! They're truly great folks, and you can tell they want you to be as comfortable and cared for as possible. Lastly, Dr. Tahir is fantastic. He runs his office like a true professional. He's efficient, super courteous, and surprisingly funny #dadjokes. His work is always flawless. I'm happy to say that I'm 80% through my Invisalign treatment and my teeth look amazing! During my initial consult with Dr. Meehan, I had the same request and shared the same desire and he totally understood and so here I am 14 months into treatment. The heavy set assistant put the bib around me, asked if I wanted to watch tv, I said no, she left. About 12:15 I sat up in the seat to see if I could get someone's attention, to ask when I would be seen. The assistant came into the room and said, the doctor is with another patient she will be in shortly. I asked her, is this new, for patients to wait almost an hour before they are seen? She said, Dr. Marshall is on vacation so the other dentist is taking his patients. As we were speaking the Dentist walked into the room and said, what's the problem? I said, I've been waiting almost an hour. She said, no your appointment was at, before she could get it out I said, 1130 . She said, so you've been waiting about 30 minutes, it's 1210 I said no, it's actually 1220. She nonchalantly shrugged her shoulders and said, emergencies happen. The way she looked at me was as if to say, oh well, wait til I'm done. I began to fix my purse strap, she said, are you leaving ? I said yes because you're being very rude and inconsiderate. She said, nonchalantly, ok and walked to the front desk to tell the receptionist, i wasn't being seen because i didn't want to wait. I told her, no, I'm leaving because the dentist was being extremely rude to me. I left in shock! I couldn't believe she was as rude and inconsiderate as she was. It was as if she was doing me a favor or as if i was late and she had to wait on me. I waited almost an hour to be seen, not one time did anyone apologize for my wait or show any consideration for my time. I had to find a baby sitter for my three month old baby for this appointment just for the dentist to be extremely rude to me and waste my time. I would never give my business to this practice as long as she's there! I have referred so many people to this practice from SWA, including a few family members, but I will be sure to tell them about the experience I had today so they can find a new place to go as well. Dr Marshall didn't seem to be as rude and ignorant as the female dentist that works there. I hope you clean house because she will be the cause of you losing a lot of patients. And by the way, while I was there some of the workers were talking about another worker leaving the practice ( I believe) and said, this place is going to go to shit when you leave and I was actually getting paid on time with you here. My experience at Orthodontic Experts started well, but gradually deteriorated over time. Initially,…read morethe staff and doctor were friendly and attentive to questions, in addition to being transparent with my treatment plan. As time went on, I began to experience the effects of overbooking. I had several instances where I would show up on time and not be seen until 40 minutes later, with the doctor assessing my treatment for around two minutes before going to the next patient. There were also several times when I had to take work off to make appointments, only to be turned around because I was told the doctor wasn't in for that time slot. The experience reached its lowest point during my IPR treatment. The procedure was not properly explained beforehand, leading me to initially decline it. I was sent home without clarification, despite the next set of aligners being designed for IPR--a fact that had not been communicated earlier. As my aligners became increasingly tight and my teeth shifted unnaturally, I felt pressured to proceed with the IPR, as no alternative options were explained. My intent isn't to disparage the establishment, but to hopefully bring awareness and nuance so that whoever reads can be more informed of what they are getting themselves into.
