We went to several other shops that advertised walk ins, but no place had openings, until we got to Level Up. We got there just as they opened. We were welcomed the minute we walked in the door by all of the staff. They were kind and happy. Cody said he had some time to take us both. He edited our mock up just a bit so we would get the best quality and so our tattoos would age well. His area was clean and neat. Cody made sure the placement was correct and as he was tattooing, he was attentive to us both, making sure we were okay and didn't need a break. The shop itself was fun. It was colorful. The vintage video game were such a cool addition in the shop. We didn't see if they were in working order, but just seeing the machines brought back such fun memories. I will definitely be going back to Cody for other tattoos. I also look forward to getting a piercing from them

I was shocked at how painless the piercing (nostril) was; Rob's excellent at being both quick but precise, which I believe made for the least painful experience possible. Rob absolutely loves his work and continues to educate himself on what's new and exciting in the world of body art; his passion for his art is both obvious and contagious. After finding out this studio was the oldest in Sarasota, I knew I'd be in good hands. I wanted a tragus and helix piercing to add to my collection. After discussing the jewelry options (I wanted a simple, tiny rhinestone) we settled on a few and Karen (the owner) began to mark my ear with placements. What I loved about Karen is that she gave her honest and professional opinion on placement of the helix. Where I initially wanted it was not going to be the best option because of the shape and curve of my ear. Being a woman herself, she knew I wouldn't love my initial placement ad recommended a lower helix piercing. I appreciated her honesty. She even asked if my two prior piercings were done by different piercers, which I said yes, and she knew right away they were from different people (because of the placement they did, going off of what I wanted and not taking my ear shape into consideration). I went with her recommended area and I couldn't be happier with results. She runs the show here at EA - a small, woman owned business which resonates with me. Karen is highly professional and personal, engaging and makes you feel comfortable and secure. I couldn't recommend Karen enough! Just an fyi - she's cash only - not a problem but come prepared. Always ask or call to make sure she's available and she can give you an estimate over the phone in what you are wanting. Karen - I'll be back to add more ear candy when I'm in town next.
