In the clerk's office, they told me they only had LAND DEEDS and that if i wanted any birth/death records I had to go to the CITY clerk's office. She suggested if I wanted wills I could go to the courthouse. When I got to the City clerk's office they said they had nothing in the years I wanted and that I could try the Health Department. It was apparent to me the "hand doesn't know what the foot is doing" in this Oswego Records Center operation? I left empty-handed and disgruntled from the runaround among buildings within the city.

It's not all bad though. There are a few good places near by for lunch and the employees are pretty entertaining. I'm pretty sure they hate give the speech on how to be a juror more than you hate listening to it. Even though they could use more comfortable chairs, the snarky attitude and proximity to tacos makes the Syracuse City Courthouse A-OK in my book.

The building is old and the cafeteria is not that good. There are other court houses around the country that provide better food service or have much newer facilities. However, I should point out that the state of new york does a good job of running the jury service. The parking choices are poor. So you have to find a parking spot early and walk to the courthouse. The cost for daily parking is eight to $10 a day.

Central Jury Room. Uncomfortable. Long tables and hard chairs. They say there's WiFi access and computer work station. The work station consists of that same table and hard chair - but you have to sit next to the window since there's a surge protector on the window sill. Parking: I parked in the Civic Center out of convenience. Heated garage and access directly to the Hall of Justice. Down side is it cost $10 a day (and I was only there for 4 hours). Bring your own food, coffee, water, snacks. There's a small cafe at one end of the building but I didn't venture out. $10 for parking and that wonderful $40 a day...

Sessions always start on time, the judges are efficient, and you can stay and watch as much as you like.

Worst customer service ever. The employees seem to feel no obligation to help the people they…read moreserve. Calls are not returned and when you call back and finally reach someone they cant even tell you a court date. They requested me in court but put no effort in working out a date. It took over two years to get a hearing at which point they counted their loss and dropped everything. It is amazing they can stay in business with this degree of concern for the bussiness.
